Luts Tiny Delf Discussion Part 4

Nov 23, 2013

    1. do the boots have laces? maybe you could loosen them to give her ankles some more wiggle room

    2. They do have laces but they are so small I don't think loosening them would make much of a difference unfortunately. :(

    3. Super cute, bluemoonjules!

I've been playing around in photoshop and made this ;)

    4. they make great photoshop subjects don't they?

    5. Totally, auntbear :)

    6. Aw, Bluemoonjules! You have two of my grail dolls in one picture! :D
Ever since I've sold my Alice, I regret it. And PKF Vanilla makes a great sister for her. These two are definitely on my wishlist. Hope to see more pics of them.

    7. at least they are both basics so you will be able to get them back someday

    8. I think Alice is a good Pukifee companion...facial features more similar than other TDFs. Babyelf we clearly have great taste! I will take some more pictures of them all together soon. I do love the Realskin Brown...

    9. Could I get some Hansel spam? Thanks!!

    10. Hi guys, I don't own a Luts doll, but Tiny Delf Kai is high on my want list, especially when I saw the default faceup on Tinytaur Kai. (Such beautiful eyelashes) may I request a Kai spam? (Both genders) Bonus points if it's light brown with the default faceup they offer on a standard human doll because it's what I'd like to order from eLuts. I'd also like to see custom faceup Kai, too:) Thanks in advance!

    11. I had a dream last night that Luts made the tiny centaurs available as unlimiteds, then I woke up and I was so devastated. >.<

    12. that would have been amazing! :sigh

    13. I can relate, the first time I saw them they were either sold out or I was couldn't get them XD

    14. Tyltyl and Mytyl are now available on the Tiny20 body. I am in love with Tyltyl as a Tiny20 girl!

    15. I'm looking for a doll that can have a really dreamy look, what sculpt do you think is good for this? :D

    16. [IMG]
Yay! I made my girl a little computer. :) I had bought her a Mac book but it was definitely more MSD sized...it didn't even fit in her lap! So. I improvised. Now she has a cute little lap top. :)

    17. I think Alice looks dreamy, but so does one of the new sculpts (I forget which is which). Then of course you have Louis, who has his eyes mostly shut. :)
That is so cute! What is the computer made out of?

    18. @Zardi I made it out of sculpey clay and some wire. :) First I built the frame of the top and bottom and then built the clay around it and baked it! So it's nice and hard and sturdy. Then I found computer images on Google, fit them to size and glued them on. :)

    19. lucky girl, but i would watch her, she looks very serious as if she is ordering stuff behind your back. did you hide your credit cards?

    20. Haha. So true. She'll order herself a little tiny friend. :P

    21. I recently rehomed my only Tiny Delf without ever falling out of love. She was sweet, adorable, a good poser... pretty much everything I ask out of the female dolls I've owned thus far. The problem was that I had intended her to go with another doll I purchased prior, and when he got here, my plans for him entirely changed, rendering her 'obsolete'. So when a newcomer to the hobby was checking her out at a meetup, I ended up giving her away, because this person was quite interested in tinies, but wouldn't be able to afford one of her own any time soon (Plus, she loved my girl). Now I have to oogle this topic twice as closely for more adorable Delfishness with my own girl gone! :blush

    22. at least most of them aren't limited so maybe one will fit in your collection again someday?

    23. Wow, that was generous of you. Which sculpt was she?

    24. A Hansel in brown skin. :love I miss her already, but I'm excited to see pictures of her in her new home! Her new owner has an MSD girl, and more recently, an SD girl. She wanted to get a Pukifee Pong Pong next, but it was going to be quite a while before she could afford to do so. And then she and her mother spotted my girl and couldn't stop playing with her! It was totally meant to be. She's quite creative, and makes her own fantasy clothing and armor for her dolls- she says that she plans to turn Hansel into some kind of animal character.

    25. yay! :dance

I just sent the final payment on my tinytaur Alice! I'm so excited to get her in my hands. I recently bought a small Tibetan pelt of black hair to make her a wig when she arrives so hopefully I'll have the time to create a wig pattern from her head when she gets here because I'm pretty sure she'll be arriving during my work week.

gosh, I still don't have a name for her yet...

    26. how exciting curious raven, and don't worry a lot of these little ones don't tell you their name until they arrive

    27. Seems lately I have limited time to post, but I love all of the cute pics everyone! They always make me smile!
Deidra got a new dress, and I just love the look, so of course I have to share!

    28. Awwe she is SO CUTE! :aheartbea

And here, I share my little Usagi~
      She is studying ^^

    29. those bright blue eyes work particularly well on an alice. they show up so nicely!

    30. rytearik: Thank you! Usagi is adorable! Love her hair and eye colors together! So cute with her little book!

    31. She is adorable. I love her props!
So cute! Did you make that dress? If not, where did you find it?

    32. she's heeeere! and omg! she's even more adorable than I thought she was going to be (didn't know that was possible :XD:). I had to dig thru my things to find a wig that would fit her and I'm sure I'll be changing it up but for now she just gets to sit with Mochi (my mnf) being cute. :aheartbea

    33. She is sooooooooo adorable!!!

    34. So cute! Love the centaurs...

    35. so very adorable!!! And I actually really like that wig... with the green and purple, and it kind makes her glow a little...

    36. that wig looks really nice with her skin tones. i wonder if you could find a similar one with green streaks instead of purple to tone in with the tail more? (much as i normally prefer purple to green ;)) or alternatively just add a few purple streaks to her tail?

    37. awww, thanks guys! she is currently my new favorite. :whee:

I am actually now trying to find a wig in the style that I like and I didn't realize it would be so difficult to find something specific! I would kind of like a straight chin length bob but it looks like I might have to get a longer one and trim it myself, especially in the colors I'm looking at.

As I have named her Truffle I would like to stick to the kinds of colors you see striped across the top so purple, pink, mint green, ect. Right now it's looking like pink might be the easiest wig color to find so then I have to decide if I want her eyes to match her mint green parts or make them purple! *_*

edit: also, which eye size do those of you with Alice prefer? she came with 10mm acrylics but the 10mm glass eyes I had on hand have gapping because of the high dome. Do I just need to avoid high domes?

    38. I avoid high domes on all my dolls, low dome eyes give dolls a much more natural look.

    39. i agree with lil spark on that. i know some people like high domes because of the sparkle, but i find that the only way to position them without gapping gives a really "starey" look so i just avoid them completely and stick to low dome.

    40. Hmm, I haven't even tried changing the eyes of my first doll yet, she still feels slightly 'precious' like I might break her or something. Its kinda sad cos I bought these flat backed acrylic eyes for her (low dome) and havent used them. May I see a picture of a Tiny Delf faceplate with the eyes stuck in? Are the recess near the eye sockets shaped like a sphere or is it a little flatter? I have a feeling they'd fit a Tiny delf doll a bit better, they're supposed to be 10mm but the irises are larger than the default eyes Fairyland gives their customers. I hear most Tiny delfs take 12mm eyes.

    41. well the eyes I put in Truffle's head were the only ones I had in the right size but they're pupilless so usually the high dome isn't a problem. how well do the 12mm makos fit in the Alice head, does anyone know? I really like Makos but their smallest size is 12mm. :/

    42. I don't really know the difference between high and low dome, I never pay attention to it actually. I think my Castiel has low dome?

Well, here is the little angel, trying to be a pirate.

    43. hmm, i know you can use the 12mm in pukifees (that normally take 10mm) but i hadn't thought to try them in my alice. all my stuff is buried at the moment but if no one else can help sooner i'll try to see if i can dig them out and try them next week

low dome eyes if you look at them sideways the curve is pretty smooth. on the high dome the iris and pupil is like this elongated bubble set on the white of the eye there is a picture on this page if you are interested showing the difference. some of the high dome eyes can be even more exaggerated. and the bigger the bubble the more it pushes away from the well of the eye if they are positioned anywhere but straight ahead, or if the eyewell is narrow like on an alice sculpt

btw love your little pirate and his wonderful pirate ship!

    44. [IMG]
I got Miku this little kitty at an arcade. Who knew it would be perfect Tiny Delf size. :)

    45. Thanks for the explanation. I don't have any high dome eyes here then.

@Mikumikuowo: That's such a perfect size for her!

    46. @Kayren-Twist: I know! I can't believe it haha. I was just at the arcade playing games and I won some tickets and got that cat as a little prize haha. Fits her perfectly. :)

    47. Getting a bit impatient now, waiting for my Tyltyl...Hoping they get right back to production now they have had a holiday, LOL

    48. Oh, I can't wait to see pictures! Tyltyl is on my wish list :D.

    49. SHE'S HEEEERE!!!
      [IMG]DSCN0337 by xkelpiex, on Flickr

Still deciding on a name. So far I like Teleri and Tanwen.

    50. Congrats! she's cute!

    51. what a pretty little elf

    52. I don't post here very often. Yuki is one of my favorite dolls and she's almost always next to me when I'm at the computer or doing crafty stuff. She's such a portable cutie.

    53. Cute doll, I love how you dressed her, it looks very vintage chic. Alice seems by far the most popular facecast for Tiny Delfs!
I'm a little sad that I dont get to see much Kai owner pics, probably cos has a very serious look for a little guy?

Xkelpiex: Congratulations! I lovehow bright she looks, did you make her dress?
Kayren-Twist: Awesome model for your little angel! What did your little Captain christen the ship?

    54. Thanks, guys!
Sunrei: Haha, I wish! I can't sew very well... So I bought the dress off of Dollygoround on Etsy.

    55. Very cute...ah, two fine Welsh names there. My Alice is Eluned, and I did have a Hujoo Freya called Tanwen...:-)

I am still waiting for a Tyltyl so I can put the head on my Centaur, Artemis, and put the Lati head, Pixie, on the TDF body... hopefully not too much longer.

    56. Yes! I have a Welsh background and am fascinated by Welsh names in general. I also considered Eluned, but she wanted to be called a name starting with 'T' it seems. I decided on Teleri a little after I posted that. :)

    57. Leleth, my Gretel elf, got a new playsuit. I think she likes it very much :).

    58. Aww, cute! I like the pinkand white baubles for the bottom.

Xkelpiex: Oh I love that shop, I bought something off her too!
