Hello, does anyone know how shipping for the global Luts site is calculated? I wanted to buy two 8"-9" wigs from the site, but shipping was $56 for the two wigs. When I changed the cart to two different similar wigs (same size and length), shipping was $32 instead. Does anyone know why the shipping cost might be so different for similar items, or another site I could look for Luts wigs that might offer cheaper/slower shipping options?
When I asked them about the $30 extra they charged me to ship wigs about a year ago, they refunded the overcharge in points. My request for a paypal refund instead was refused. Their shipping calculation algorithm is just abysmal. If you're lucky and find the right items, you can get them to severely undercharge you for shipping as well.
On the one hand, it's good to know there isn't just something weird happening on my end, but that is ridiculous they wouldn't give you the refund through paypal..I guess there may not be much of an option but to get lucky with the specific items then
I have no idea why their site does that but you could look into using a Korean proxy - I don't know if it'll be a lot cheaper in the end or not but you can at least choose a fitting shipping method/price. There will be some added fees, though, but you'll also have the option to order through Luts' Korean site in case that makes it cheaper for you with the exchange rate.
Good suggestion! I'm willing to wait quite a while if it means I don't have to pay more than the wigs cost themselves in shipping I'll have to look into that for future purchases even if there are some extra fees; it seems like that could be more cost effective!
I haven't ever asked if they'd do it, but maybe ask Denver Doll? They are Luts dealer in the US. They only have the dolls on their website, but maybe they could get the wigs you want shipped with their next doll order.
You also try to ask Luts about the shipping fee before ordering? They might be willing to adjust the fee for you before you order.
You guys can get in touch with Luts? I emailed them about recovering my old account (which I used to order the boy in my pfp) and no responses at all
Luts is more reliable to contact via their Q&A board than email. I know you don't have your account access but you could make another one just to post on the Q&A board and try to get their attention to your email.
