Soon! Mine is in the post. He's in Lavendar skin and I'm super excited for him. All the Raven's I've seen are very pretty. The lips are very bright, but easily fixable I suppose

On today's episode of fun hybrids. Aka I was left unsupervised with dolls. Put a Gokidoll Miaow head on my male Slender version body. Color match isn't great but I don't hate this.

I got my Lavendar Raven yesterday! I need to unpack my DSLR, so apologies for rubbish phone capture that cannot get the gorgeous resin colour. I just needed to quickly share though, this is my first Luts Model Delf doll and I absolutely adore it! I am so glad I got the fullset, it's absolutely gorgeous!

I am still putting parts of the outfit on, and the shoes are a VERY tight squeeze, but I am so happy with this guy. Lovely face, lovely colours, the body clicks into place for poses amazingly. Beautiful doll. Are there any good shops outside of luts for shoes for these guys? I think I would like to get something else than the one that came with the fullset.

Hi everyone! I am looking to get some clothing for my Luts Raven, and I was wondering - will Luts KDF clothing still fit the slender guy MDF body?

 

I FINALLY DID IT!

Modded my Luts Kid Delf Berry head to fit on my Slender Model Delf body. I've been putting this off for months because I was afraid I would ruin the head but I finally reached that level of f@ck it and did it. This was a first for me! Head is from 2016 and with the limited Moonlit Song human faceup so I very much did not want to mess that up. Body is 2021 WS so more stark white in comparison but I don't care since he fits now and my Thorn looks more grown up.
(Sorry the lighting is bad I lost my light while working on this.)


And here's before. The head just sat right on top of the neck and looks very wrong and could side to either side easily. Plus it made the neck look super long.

I received my Bliss finally he was going to have mint green wig I ordered with him but when I tried the charcoal one on him he claimed it instead.



Now if only it could not rain on one of my days off so I could paint his (and three other dolls') face(s) :')

 

Luts posted a teaser for the 3rd round of their event on their twitter. I feel like I remember reading on an old tweet that a new model delf would be in this summer event so maybe this is it?



Bunny legs, tail and ears would be super cute for a fantasy doll so I'm excited to see this release!

My Larimar, Poli, still has only this outfit that I consider her default/casual outfit. Her concept is that she's a pop idol with an extremely small following so I'd like to have some jpop and kpop inspired stage outfits made for her.

EDIT: Welp, today they revealed that the teasers were not for new model delfs and while my wallet is happy, I am a bit disappointed that they were left out of this event.

 

Sorry to double post but a sneak peak of the new model delf male body was posted by Luts’ Director on their twitter account! The post also mentions that it will be released in the second half of the year as they’re working on compatibility(this is according to twitter translate so it may not be accurate). The lips on the head modeled on the new body kinda look like Mars so we could possibly be seeing some of the new super senior delfs scaled down I’d love a mini Eddy!

Hmm, 'new line'? I guess it won't be similar size / style to any of Luts' current lines, then? How mysterious!

 

Yeah I compared the new chest to the Grand Senior Delf body and they look the same. These are also about the same as the Superior version of the Super Senior Delf bodies. So my guess? These will be around 47-50cm (so taller than the current Model Delf males that are 45cm) and with thicker necks and broader shoulders. They will look nothing like the prior Model Delf aesthetics because they'll be a lot more mature. Even if the heads aren't smaller, they'll look smaller in comparison to how wide the shoulders are and how thick the necks are.

I hate thinking like this but with the current track of Luts, this is most likely what the new Model Delf will be. I very much dislike the broad shoulder/tiny head/thick neck look that Luts seems to be only doing now. I just want more baby delf love. Or more love for non-mature 1/3 that aren't twig skinny.

 

Darn. I love my Raven elf model delf. He's just the right blend of muscle and leanness. More realistic and elfy (I know that's a contradiction ) than beefcake gymrat.
Was going to get another when a new resin color beckoned. My minty grey guy is the bomb.

I dislike the trend where msd getting taller by each new release. 50cm feels like small SD for me, instead of msd. hopefully they keep current ones as options, or goes out the window my wish/plan of getting a normal skin model delf

 

I agree with you so much on this. I've been hoping companies would actually make smaller MSD bodies because I'd love short cute characters but instead it looks like everyone's doing 45cm and bigger now. Sucks for me since the reason I try to stick with MSDs is that they're smaller but you can still find mature sculpts in the size. But I'd imagine they'll keep the current bodies up just the same way as despite them releasing the KidDelf45 body they still offer the smaller bodies too.

I think they're trying to achieve "heroic proportions" by making the body bigger and bulkier. I personally mostly just find it to look silly since, well, look at the grand senior delfs, their proportions are ridiculous. You could fit four heads on those shoulders and anatomically speaking that's one head too many. I fear that's exactly the look they're going for the new Model Delf body too once its released. If they for whatever reason decided to discontinue the current model delf bodies I'd just buy the heads I like as they get released and look elsewhere for bodies because the more muscular body just isn't for me. To be completely honest, I don't really like the overall direction Luts has been taking their bodies during the last few years. :/

 

I love variety so i'm hopeful that we'll have 50-52cm dolls AS WELL as 40cm, 42, 45 etc. You know, so you can have a range of heights just like real people.
50cm is pretty big though, certainly the larger end of the scale of what I can comfortably handle.

I'm not overly keen on the big buff bodies with the super wide chests personally, i'd rather see more lean body types or chubby ones heh. Buff athletic body types are easy enough to find so i'd love to get more "average" shaped ones too, especially for the guys.

That said, i'm keen to see new model delf heads.

 

I haven't been feeling the new bodies either (on all scales) except for the KDF45 girl. I really love that one but other than that I'm not too fond of the super wide shoulders + tiny waist and hips thing they have been going for lately.

The few male body sizes I would be interested in are super unpopular (either short 1/4 or short 1/3, so KDF or DF/SDF) so they won't update the current ones. They only ever update the girl bodies in these sizes.

 

I actually like the slender model delf version because even though it's a bit wider in the shoulders, it's both not overly buff (looking at you GSD and SSDF superior version) and not weirdly skinny/not defined (like the KD45 male and those muse bodies). The very broad shoulders on the guys that are also super buff look so weird imo, and those same broad shoulders on those female bodies (the SD65 girl and SD type 8 girl) that have otherwise slim frames just looks so off. I really feel like if the girls had wider hips, it would look so much better. How long ya think til a wide shouldered Model Delf girl version is announced?

 

I would lose all resolve if they released a more curvy model delf girl lol.

I mean I love the model delf girl body but imagine it with even wider hips. Ohhhhh yesss.

If they released the current wide shoulder female bodies with wider hips too, my wallet would be very much in danger. But as it stands, just the wider shoulders are a major reason I don't want a lot of the newer bodies and lines. Hoping Luts gives some love to some of their older aesthetics. There hasn't been any new Baby Delf sculpts for a while and my dream is for either more Baby Delf elf versions (they only ever made one limited elf head) or for Luts to make a 1/3 size doll with the Baby Delf aesthetics. Just scale Baby Delf up double the size and I'd be happy!

Anyone planning to get one of the new centaurs? I'm safe from the dolls but mildly tempted by the female outfit. Need to ask if it would fit Kid Delf Centaur too though.

 

I ordered a centaur Muhwa. I have both KDF and KDF45, and they're generally compatible clothes wise except the KDF45 has longer legs so pants might look too short (Unless they're capri-style).

 

Funny enough, I really love that there is a broad shouldered girl finally available. It's so rare to find one in the MSD range, particularly as the current trend is for extreme pear shape female bodies. I would love it if they did a version of the body which had some muscle definition as a tall, broad shouldered, athletic looking MSD girl body would be the bomb! Sadly I don't have much hope as there's such a weird dislike for girls/women to have muscles or look strong

But have to agree that i'm also not a fan of the tiny head + extreme thick neck & broad shoulder aesthetic that seems to be popular with new male doll lines. I would love to be able to get some of Luts's more mature looking SD heads in a MSD size but would prefer them to be closer in size to the Kid heads. I think if they're scaling proportionally, the heads might end up even smaller than the Model heads, which are a bit too small for my taste

 

The centaur clothes are labeled for Model Delf so I'd still like to ask Luts if it would fit Kid Delf. I have a Model Delf girl and a couple Kid Delf girls (one centaur) and there's enough of a size difference between them for me to be a bit worried that it would be too big. Especially if the KD45 centaur is more like Model delf size. Did Luts ever post a comparison of the Kid Delf, Model Delf, and KD45 centaur bodies side by side?

Ooo, if the broad shouldered girls had slight muscle definition that would be a lot better too! Didn't even think about that but now I want it to happen. Like on par with Slender male model delf. That slight muscle definition but not quite ripped. /adds to dreams for Luts list

 

Aw, so no model delfs at all in this summer event then as there's only week of it left and none has shown up yet so it's unlikely they'll make a quick last minute release of one either, I'm honestly sad.

I guess they're planning on some special event for them once the new bulkier/bigger body is ready to release then. I just hope the future heads will still be compatible with the current MDF bodies since "bigger and even more muscular" is the opposite of what I personally want. actually, what I'd love would be if they released body similar to the muse body for senior delfs in model / kid / kid45 delf size. I'd be all over that! Unlikely since they seem to think that bigger is better but a girl can dream right?

 

Yeah I can understand that. Since no model delf, I am still... pondering ordering a limited kid45 to pair with my model delf girl and hope the head size difference is not too weird. Because I want a softer looking boy for this character in particular I actually kiiiinda prefer kid45 body than model delf bodies, even though it has less details. I guess I have a couple of days to think

...I am just glad they released centaurs and not "deertaurs" (cervitaurs?) cause I would be so tempted anyways ._.

 

Personally I feel like the head difference is quite big so I would rather ask them if they'd let you order a MDF head on a KDF45 body instead.

I agree, though I think since they would be a boy and a girl it would be slightly less weird (I heard people use some tricks for photos like have bigger head in the bg and smaller closer to the camera). My problem is I always want the limited heads because I need the elf ears xD

 

Took some pictures of Aurelie (MDF Ani) today. The clothes aren't necessarily her style but I still think it looks good on her.

She's actually rosy brown which has very strong redish undertones. But they don't really show up on camera. Depending on what colors I put her in she looks unnaturally pink or purple. I feel she looks best in neutral colors.

 

Luts is teasing their winter event already on Twitter.

I just hope we'll get some model delfs this time around. That's all I'm asking for.

Added: I wonder if the new bigger model delf body will be part of this event? They teased it already before the summer event and then nothing was heard of that again after that. Surely it must be finished by now if they didn't run in some huge problems with it? (Maybe the old MDF heads are too small for it after all and they are trying to solve that problem or end up making it a whole new line? It's possible right?)

 

Hi Everyone! I've been eyeing the model delfs for a while and am really considering getting Larimar or Jean as my first resin doll! I do have one question, and that is about shoes (for female model delf). Are there any shoes/ shoe brands that fit them well aside from the ones on the Luts site? Are they closer to minifee shoes sizes or more regular MSD shoe sizes?

 

My MDFs are boys and the only minifee I have is on the Moe body (which has extra tiny feet and nothing fits her ;__; ) but the boys wear the same shoes my other MSD sized dolls too. Looking at their measurements on Luts site both (female) model delf and (female) kid delf have 5.3cm for for length and 2.1cm and 2.3cm for foot width (in the mentioned order) so the difference is barely existing, they should be able to share shoes just fine. Pretty sure that's pretty much the average size for 1/4 dolls so you'd likely get better results with regular shoes than minifee shoes.

 

I think the difference in shoe wize between my KDF and MDF girl is noticeable. MDF girls can wear KDF shoes but it's definitely too wide. The shoes don't fall off her feet or anything but depending on the style of shoes it doesn't look that great. Socks help though. And for (ankle) boots it doesn't matter.

As I don't own any minifees I can't make any comparisons there.

If that'd help you I can take a comparison picture in the evening when I get home from work or so.

 

Okay thank you both for the information! I'm still a bit new to figuring out the measurements so that's good to know that KDF shoes should fit but will probably be loose.

I've tried minife heels on my MDF and the MDF high heel foot is more arched than the minifee's so unfortunately, high heel shoes don't fit

 

Would MDF be able to wear Minifee heels with their flat feet? Or are the shoes too narrow?
The KDF heels I have fit on MDF flat feet better than the KDF flat shoes. But I guess that might not work with Minifee heels as these are way more narrow.

MDF girls have almost the same foot size (for flat feet) as KDF45 girls. I took some comparison pictures with KDF and KDF45 feet but I still need to crop them down for DoA

 

I just tried and the feet are just a tinge too wide to fit into the minifee heels

I hope they are helpful to you. KDF45 girls and MDF girls are very close in shoe size. At least when it comes to their flat feet. The KDF45 heel legs don't fit in MDF heels.

I'd cry happy if they made 2-leg centaur as a model delf body too. I don't want full centaur with the full horse butt side but I could go for this kind of version

Edited to add: it seems they're postponing the release of the bigger model delf body till the next year. If translator is to be believed this is so they can ensure the compatibility with all the heads and looking at the image and how awkwardly the head seems to sit on the neck that's likely for the best. I do wonder if this means there won't be new model delfs again in this event. :/

 

It looks like they added a second message under the tweet about the bigger model delf body about how they will be releasing normal sized model delf boys and girls for a third release (I used google translate)? I don't know if they meant for the third wave of the event but that would be nice to see some new model delfs, although I've been planning on getting Larimar during the event

 

I think my wallet would cry if they released the horse satyr in MSD size as I would have to get one!

 

Oh that's a relief. I was worried they'd dump the original MDF size in favor for dorrito boys. Kind of like what happened to the poor SDF boys. (And SDF girls on the type 1-7 bodies tbh.)

Larimar is really cute and I've been regretting not ordering her head when she was available but somehow her pictures didn't sell her to me when she was released and I only fell in love way later.

 

Yeah at first I wasn't as drawn to her, but when I was looking through the clothes section for model and kid delfs I saw a picture of her modeling a sold-out clothing set and she was wearing another wig style that really showed off the charm of her face more!

 

They made a Honey Delf size, so now that they have a SDF size I would expect a KDF eventually. My wallet will definitely be opened when it happens!

 

It looks like Luts just announced their 22nd-anniversary event! All their heads (including model delf heads!) are available to purchase in normal, white, and their current special skins.

I'd love to get a head or two but life has been so hectic so not so keen doing faceup myself, sigh....

I can't quite remember, but does anyone know when Luts offered head only sale (in the past) if they offered faceup?

 

I'd prefer if they finally released the model delfs for the event since I can only afford one head, I'd love grabbing Larimar but what if I like one of the probably two model delfs they release even more? On the other hand what if I don't like them at all and missed my second chance at getting Larimar by waiting?

I honestly thought that this week we would have gotten those already so it's been a bummer to notice that's not the case again. I'm half waiting for them to just post a note saying they're still not done with model delfs and they won't be posted at all.

 

Finally we have the first teaser; Model Delf Breeze Romance version. Which I suppose means we'll also get Romance Maria (or some other special version of her). Not for me but I'm glad they finally revealed it and upset because I held back and didn't order Larimar head while I could instead.

 

I missed the head event because I was with family for Christmas, so upset. I was like 3 hours late for the ending time.

 

And like I figured already earlier, Romance version of Maria is also to be released. Romance Breeze has been added to Luts' site already and he's a snow leopard apparently. I love the hands but I guess Luts wouldn't sell just those to me on their own

All this means that my wallet is safe from this event, I doubt there's more model delfs to come and that's the only size I'm interested in at the moment. Slightly bitter I couldn't grab that Larimar head since I waited for these two though.

 

Two months later I finally got my lazy ass up and compared KDF/KDF45 and MDF heel feet as well:

So while the KDF45 flat feet are very close to the MDF flat feet the same can't be said for the heel feet. MDF can't share heels with the others.

Putting KDF heels on MDF works better than the other way around. You can always use tissues to pad out the shoes and have your MDF wear socks. But it's definitely not ideal.

And I'm kind of glad I took Aurelie (MFD Ani) out for a photo shoot last week. Because that made me remember I still need to order heel feet for her as I much prefer them over heel leg parts.

My apologies if this is the wrong thread, but I read in a previous disscussion that there were a lot of issues with engineering and proportions with a Lapis. I am actually considering a lapis to shell a character but I am very nervous about it after seeing that post. Have things improved?

 

Oh, romantic Breeze reminds me of one of my favorite cards from a shut down TCG phone game from years ago, maybe I'll try to shell him. He's very pretty.
