Such lovely KDF pictures have been spammed here while I haven't checked out the conversation for a while. Love the new DoA too!
Yesterday I received my new Luts order. Loved my tdf Alice but the KDF Jamong, which I waited for months in such anticipation, dissappointed me. She was well done and her face-up by luts is great too but some reason I want the RSBrown Jamong instead the NS I ordered Anyone felt like ordered their KDF in wrong color ?
I think I'll keep the body but sell the Jamong Head in MP once it's open and then get myself the brown version sooner or later. Guess I have to wait my dream Jamong longer, eheh.

Finley finally has his permanent wig and can now officially be deemed complete! The wig and outfit were lovely presents from my sister, @NocturnalMelody.

Apologies for not having passed back through to share a photo of my Maskas with wigs (and clothes!). I attempted to take photos not long after they arrived but, seriously, they were all so appalling that I just deleted them straight off my computer.

Even now I'm still firmly of the opinion that the dreaming boy is simply a horror to photograph. (While it's okay to look arrogant in RL, it's a bit much in photographs!)

Anyway, meet Elian (elf) and Ether (dreaming). While I hadn't really planned on giving them characters, thanks solely to Ether's look, I'm kind of seeing him as a sickly, manipulative seer.

 

I seriously can never remember where to go to find the thread.
But I've noticed since the updatep, eople don't come around as often. ;0; Need more kid delf Spam!!

Is anyone else waiting [im]patiently for the Winter event! Really hoping they do it earlier November than later as they've been doing. I'm taking my chances getting my sisters Basil in in time waiting!

I also got my Summer'10 head in. :3 He's on a Fantasy doll body. His name is Kal

 

I've been lurking, but it's true that I don't see as much activity here since the thread change. It is a little tricky to figure out where to go.. ahh, but relearning is the nature of change.

I'd be more active but my poor girl has been in a box since almost July. The problem isn't inspiration, but rather, lack of funds. Mostly, I just want to get her a new faceup. I made the mistake of wiping my last faceup, which was decent, and now I can't seem to do any better. I'm not confident in my skills, and I want her to be beautiful, you know? I miss her, but I'd rather not see her than see her in the wrong way and become discouraged.

Kid delf spam from others, though, is always welcome in my inbox! Even if I don't say much, I always enjoy seeing everyone elses' dolls and characters!

 

I hope I can participate soon, myself. I'm still trying to decide on who I'll be ordering sooner or later (hopefully sooner, but plans have been changing all year), but I did pick up a secondhand Summery 13 head recently to go on a body that I'd switched out but didn't really want to sell on. She needs some aesthetic work, but her sculpt is really adorable, and I'm very happy with her!

 

Fate, your Summer '10 is wonderful! I hope to get mine soon as well.

I want to spam Fenris, my Maska, but his paws chipped horribly when I took him up to Virginia and I haven't had time to redo them. -_-; I'm thinking about dying them for a grey base, but the thought of doing something so permanent kinda scares me. Either way, I'm not gonna be doing much of anything with my dolls till the end of the month. NaNoWriMo and all that.

 

That's me as well~ NaNo is taking away all of my free time for dolls!

 

I just got my girl a winter coat and will be posting pictures outside as soon as the rain goes away. Silly weather always ruining my fun!

Calling anyone who owns a kid delf multi body (the double jointed body) I have a few questions...

How aesthetically pleasing is the body? Does it look good, and not out of proportion or anything, as I'm worried that the arms are too.... chunky?

Do you think it would be appropriate for a 15 year old OC? As I worry it's too childlike.

And finally.... Do you like it? If you don't, which other body's (that work with kid delf heads) do you like more?

I would love as much feedback as possible, as I'm trying to decide whether to get a kid delf multi body, or the kid delf head I want on a model delf body. I've been debating for ages, and kinda come up short

Actually, I love the multi-body for my Sora.
All of my KDFs are in their mid-late teens. The multibody is taller, which I think helps with making them older, and it has a nice shape to it. I don't know if you're meaning for a girl or boy however. I don't have the girl body. But I would assume its qualities would be the same as the boy.
But I think you should be okay. :3

 

For my Bday My parents are sending me to Japan for a week! Idk wether to take my Rina or not TT TT (Berry sculpt)

 

I would suggest only taking her if you have a proper hard case because when i flew to japan they made me put my doll up in the above head storage....I mean she made it ok but i was so nervous and i think i was just lucky nothing collapsed on her! Luts has some spiffy hard cases now, i plan to buy one before traveling by plane with her again.

 

Thank you @Fate . I just realise now that I did completely forget to mention the gender of body I was getting I'm such a silly goose. The body would be a girl's body, but I'm sure it will have the same qualities as the boy body you own . One last thing, (sorry if I'm asking too many questions I've just been stuck on which body to get for a while ) do you find the hands 'chunky' or bigger than they should be? I know it matter's less on a boy bjd, but if they were on a girl, do you think they would look ok? Thank you again .

 

Luts hands tend to be on more of the chunky side. Compared to Rhea, who is on a 5 star doll body, my Peaches hands are quite chunkier. I like them both a lot, however since everyone is different. You can always try to find hands second hand or join a go for a different company however if you'd rather find some slimmer hands.
I don't k now what model delf hands compare to on females. My model delf male hands were very similar to kid delf. chunky wise.

I wanna get a kid delf zuzu for Christmas but I'm wondering if I should wait to see what they offer at the winter event or not. They always offer really awesome dolls for their events.

 

@thekpopwolf Hi! ^^ I have the girl multi body and made a video review of it here. (1:50 is when the review really starts). There is doll nudity. If you don't want to hear me blathering, I don't blame you, haha. But, I do show off some poses at the end, and demonstrate the problems I have with the body.

Basically it boils down to: I like the body a lot. I think it has a cute, chunky aesthetic, but it IS chunky. KDFs I believe are supposed to be young, like Volks dolls. However, I think it's possible to pass her off as 15 if you've got a more mature-looking sculpt on the body. To me, my Summer 14 sculpt looks young, but doesn't look like a little child. The gigantic boobs on the body help with that, too. Unfortunately, there's no smaller size option.
As for posing: I think she poses great! She stands much more easily than my minifee did, and her legs can do a LOT more easily, though I haven't been able to do as many crazy poses with her. She's a teensy bit kicky, but not too bad. However, it's her top half that's limited. I really don't like the elbow joint. It's not a rounded peanut, it's a straight blocky peanut, which for me, never stays where it's supposed to unless her hand is behind her head. Thus, her arms, in my experience, has three poses--behind her head, 90 degress, or completely straight. Kips might help with that, though.
But, it looks like they fixed that issue with the model delf body if you go with the type 2 elbows and knees. Plus, that body in general doesn't look chunky at all. I asked the Model Delf forum what they thought of that body, and I got a lot of crickets, but that was quite a long time ago. You might get a response now.
The best way to compare the two aesthetically on the LUTS website is through the mychoice page. Just from your concerns, I'd say to go with the MDF body, but I don't have personal experience with that body like I do the KDF one. I'm sure I'd find something to complain about ^^;

@PencilWolf @TheKidAbroad Thank you so much for your responses guys they really helped a lot . Unfortunately, I'm debating the model delf body mainly because of two things. On the model delf body the hip measurement is 20.8cm instead of the normal 15-19cm hip range for msd's, and this worry's me as I wont be able to get most of the clothes I was planning because of the hip size. Then the second thing is the price, just getting the model delf body is an extra £80 ($120) on top of what the doll I'm going to get already costs. Hmmmmm, it's a hard one. Though thank you so much again for your help, it was much appreciated .

I haven't posted in a while. I went to the Goodwill outlet (like a regular thrift store, but everything is unorganized and you pay by the lb!)
I got tons of stuff for my dolls, including a great diaper bag, that I think would make an awesome bedding set. I just wrapped it around one of my doll boxes in the picture, but it has tons of exttra material on the bottom for pillows

I also made the floor, which I think came out great. But I still need to work on the walls/windows. Still a work in progress!

Cora got his J-rock eyes today. And the new eyes make him look more like a boy. Well I hope that it does One step closer to being a complete character. Just need to order him a white catbell choker and a white hobnail belt and he's all ready to rock!

If he were in a band he'd be a drummer

I'm also saving up for a boyfriend for him A Lio. I think either in brown skin or real skin light tan. I have no idea what skin color to go for, so it's a good thing I'll be ordering a real skin light tan AN first.

I'm hoping Luts oneday'll release a bunny girl. A MSD version of ZDF Toya. I really love Toya's narrow eyes

Hi Manabusama. I hope you don't mind but I wanted to ask you a question about your Cora. I thinking of ordering a Curli soon myself. I want to buy her so enchanted doll eyes. I was thinking of using 12mm eyes. Do you think they would be too small? I want to get her some pink eyes that are in stock but that's the only size they have in it. I'm going to make my girl a Victorian version chesire cat. Please let me know what you think? Thanks again

The eyes my Curly wears are 16mm size. I've never tried any other size on him. But I'm guessing 12mm would be to small. The inside of the eye sockets are also quite large. I would probably only use 16mm in there!

The Curly sculpt are amazing I'd love to see some Curly girl spam A Victorian version chesire cat sounds awesome! If you decide to order one, I can hardly wait to see her

And as mentioned the other time, faceup done x3; Grief has this kind of standoffish air about him somehow, It's befitting of his character in a way! I should also push myself to get some actual daylight photos but I always come home too late it would seem...

On the official pictures it says that eye size are 16mm. The Souldoll eyes I use on him are 16mm.

But I tested out some eyes for you. I think the purple might be 12mm. The ice blue ones definitely are 14mm in size.

I personally think that Curly's eyes are big. (But it looks bigger irl I think than how it looks like in pictures.) The eye sockets inside the head are very big though. It can fit 18mm I'm sure!

A while ago I asked on the MDF thread if KDF feets fits a MDF boy body. Still no answer though so I'm guessing nobody have tried yet!

Just wondering if anybody here might know? The day I'll be getting my MDF Lio, I'm interested in getting him a pair of KDF feets (maybe, if it does not look strange).

 

i decided not to bring her bc i was afraid of hurting her and brought a yosd..which i regret bring as well.. it's too much of a husle to bring a doll with me

 

Can I please get some 2014 summer event head spam please. I am drawing a blank as to what to do with him. Also what size eyes does the head use?

I use 14MM in him, but 12's also fit. 16's are too big in my opinion.

 

If you still haven't gotten a response to this by the time I get my MDF body, I'll be happy to try it out for you. I love odd requests.

 

My roomie has both, so I'll try to remember to check this out when I get home today. Watch this space!

None of the limiteds though, which I understand 100% but I allowed myself to get excited for the possibility of getting a Quino!! And then I was sad when I saw it was just the basics. Since I want a girl Quino it wouldve been a perfect opportunity... Do you guys think they'll ever offer Quino again?? If I remember correctly he didn't sell too well the first time around??
