NekoNyanMew I'd wait if I were you even if the event didn't turn out to have head of your taste it's still free item you can sell later in the MP for example! Also usually the event heads are quite nice during winter event imo.

manabusama I agree, in function wise luts could develop better body for anthros, but guess they have a reason why they don't do it. Probably not profitable enough thinking the expenses.
Could you maybe tape a very strong magnet inside the torso so the tail could attach to the back. This way no tape shows if you'd want to dress less clothes. Might be quite a lot of work to do that though

 

Hi. I got a question. How often is luts makings these limited centaur/ deer/ satyre etc nsd dolls? They are all sold out and soo adorable. And how much are the new? They are still listed on the page but all saying 0$..

 

[MENTION=69249]NekoNyanMew[/MENTION] If you're worried about the wait time for an event, I say don't be (unless I guess if you're ordering multiple dolls or lots and lots of extras). I ordered my first doll in the LUTS summer event, and she still came in about 35 days. ^^ LUTS definitely has super quick turn around time compared to a lot of other companies.
[MENTION=70454]SteffiPuschel[/MENTION] I've been watching LUTS for around a year and some change now, and since then, they've had I think 3 centaur events. One for the Kiddelfs, one for the tinydelfs, and now one for the honeydelfs. So, I'm not sure how regularly they have the events, but I think they'll probably have another in a year or two. They're quite a bit pricier than the regular dolls, though. I forget how much, but at least a 100 more I think..
Can anyone with more history/knowledge answer this question better/more accurately?

 

well considering, that was pretty much when they started doing the centaurs... actually i think they have had 2 kid delf taurs, two tiny taurs and now they are doing their first honey delf one. as long as they sell really well they will probably keep making more, but there are no guarantees. they have also been limiting the options more and more each time, probably to make them more feasible to produce (the first ones you could get any color tail/hoof with any horse color and any upper body) now they are limiting the tail/hoof combos to one per horse body and the latest they limited the upper body colors as well. on the other hand they tend to introduce new sculpts at the same time for those that dont collect centaurs.

i cant remember offhand how much more expensive the kid delf centaurs were either, since i only have the smaller ones, but they are pretty pricey, both because of the extra resin and all the extra parts. the luts 'taurs are really well made though, so if you have a chance to get one, and have the space/cash, you won't be disappointed.

 

There were the Bory unicorn and the two satyrs in 2013. Then, last year had the two pegasi and the chimera. Seems like Luts has been dipping more into fantasy sculpts, but I wouldn't be surprised if the next round of centaur types is a larger range first. We might expect some KDF ones during the Winter Event though.

 

I've been out of touch lately but I think I remember someone wishing there was a Kid Delf head size comparison chart somewhere? Not exactly the best but since I had some time today I put this together. Hope it helps. Yeah, the army has expanded at an alarming rate. Blame the girls. Once one made it through the front door, they wouldn't stop coming. Those are the dolls I have. If there was a specific comparison among them someone needed, please just let me know and I will do my best to help.

Luts Kid Delf head comparison pics

 

First there was the Borytaur (unicorn) (June-July 2013), then they released Yul (Satyros) (Nov-Dec 2013), next up were Jamong and Berry as centaur and as pegasus (July-Aug 2014) and just last winter they released the chimera Quino (Dec 2014).

Hooves wise there has also been a Kelpie (October 2014).
Fantasy-wise they also had Bory released with Bird-legs (but no wings u.u; June-July 2014) and Maska with paw-feet (Jun-July 2015).

So they pretty much released a centaur (or similar) in each summer and winter event in 2013 and 2014, but skipped out summer 2015.

In 2014 they additionally released 3 fantasy-style Kid Delfs.

There were also ZuZu Kid Delfs sometime during that. 3 diferent ones I believe.

This summer event they had SDF Fantasy typed (Avalance unicorn, if I remember correctly) and right now they have SDF Ani and Breeze with fantasy parts on the head, thought no fantasy legs.

Personally I'm hoping for a propper MSD sized griffon for this winter event. I already photoshopped something together from the parts Luts already has and sent it to them as request last year and reminded them again just recently.

Back then I had to skip out as I had already purchased other dolls at that point of time and told myself I didn't need him as I already had Yul. Mistake. Big mistake I'm still regretting up to this day.

.......They didn't skip Summer 2015. Maska was this past summer from June-July 2015. But yeah, they haven't had an MSD centaur since 2014.

Since they had been continuately relaesing them since Borytaur. I'm kind of hoping for this winter event, thought chances are they'll focus on the other sizes for now. They are releasing the honey delf centaurs (or already have), so that is also a posability. Remembering them that there are people right now that would love more MSD centaurs/pegasi/other mytical beings definitly will aid in a sooner release.

I have a question . How good have the winter event heads/items been in the past?? In your opinion would you say the sculpts have been nice and good quality, or a bit meh.

Also I agree with you [MENTION=69382]ShaySugar[/MENTION] the promo for the new 'baby delf' bjd is pretty creepy in my opinion. As her hands look really dirty, and the lighting is so dark and eerie. Though I am still really excited to see what she will look like.

 

I just want a KDF mermaid, and since that hasn't happened yet, I'll sadly probs be taking my business elsewhere for a mermaid cause I'm getting impatient. (YO, hey, Fairyland!)
I think a KDF mermaid is the next logical step, actually. We've had hooves and paws, now we need fish tails.

 

thekpopwolf Good to hear it's just not I whose getting the eerie feel of the baby promo I'm also exited to see them, particularly hoping they turn out to look better than what the promo is making me imagine lol.

 

ShadowMist - that's an absolutely fantastic idea. I only have an Aru and Ani (must have a thing for big heads :P ) so I can't contribute any more, though it's great to see for sculpts I've been considering! Thank you so much for putting all that work in.

For me, if we're talking about wishes, I would love a smiling sculpt. Something lovely and expressive like some of the Unoa sculpts, or my current favourite Potpourri from Nine9Style I love Kid Delfs & Luts, but I very much love smiling/laughing expressions ^^

 

Well... I have rarely cared for the extra heads, but others were more than happy to get them from me, so...
In terms of quality they are no second to any other sculpt of the company. Wether or not they suit your taste is an entirely different matter. I did like the elf head of a summer event, thought I didn't keep it. I do find it sad that the event heads are usually only avaible in white and normal.

And I'm also onto the 'promo pics are a touch creepy' train. But I know some people who'll probably love it :3 To each their own.
[MENTION=21483]xkelpiex[/MENTION]: I have to admit I adore the Loongsoul MSD mermaids :3 Especially because the tail is really awesome in terms of posabilty!!! All these joints *0* I don't regret getting one. Thought I wouldn't be surprised if Luts was working on one behind the scenes. Given they have already released a Kelpie (thought that was way to pretty for my imagination of Kelpies ^^°) a mermaid or maybe (finally) a merman would work well out in the series.

 

[MENTION=58178]Snowy[/MENTION]: I bougth a Kelp myself, and I"m basing him off the legends of the Seelie kelpies of Tir Na Nog. He's a kelpie prince, and of course there are other, darker kelpies. Growing up I always liked the stories of the good kelpies that would bring you to Tir Na Nog instead of drowning you/eating you, haha.
Oh, and if they're going for Celtic, maybe a Selkie would be great, too, but I have no idea how they would pull that off design wise!
As for the Loongsoul mermaids, there was something about them that deterred me from buying them. They are very beautiful indeed, but I think I was being stubborn and waiting for Luts to create one.

 

Maybe it depends on how you blush ws. Maybe using the right kinda pink, peach or beige kan make the doll cute looking rather than ghostly?

I don't think I could tape a magnet inside the torso.. The way the body is sculpted, it looks like it's no way to get inside. It's a multi body.

The good thing is that he will mostly be fully clothed so I can just tape the magnet in place. And he uses boxers so it's all fine

I have double magnets in both ears and tail, so it won't be any problems with ears or tail falling off. Finally he got his tail on even if it's just taped on

Yup, and I'll be getting her! But, I also want a cutesy Luts mermaid to be her companion eventually. It's been on my wishlist forever and I am determined even if I have to send them a illion messages beggint them to do so (I've sent one already, )

I certainly wouldn't mind a KDF mermaid, especially if they give the tail decent articulation, but if it ends up being basically a single-jointed (or no-jointed) blob of resin in the shape of a fishtail, I'd probably have to pass. I like it when my dolls have functionality and aren't just pretty, unposable things. I collect pre-painted figures/statues for that purpose.

Anyway, Rosalva got a new dress and I dug around in the (increasingly vast) stores of clothing for something casual that didn't include a skirt for Suzuna, so they're both freshly dressed in something new. I was getting tired of fullset time.

I am interested on buying them for another doll but I want to make sure they will fit most heeled shoes and boots.

Trying on my event head on my only KDF (boy) body. Now I have 3 heads who got to share one body

But I don't really know If I like this head sculpt as a boy, so I tried it with a girl wig on. And I think I like the sculpt better as a girl. I need to figure out if I should get a KDF girl romance or girl multi body for it. Or if I should get a MDF girl body with breast type 1 or 2.


Anyone think maybe the event head could look good on a MDF girl body? I have trouble choosing body type

I think the head would be okay on a MDF. Mine is on a five star doll body. She's nice and tall and looks like a slightly awkward, lanky teenager. xD I love it!

i think she would make a great girl and would work on any of the bodies, so you could probably just pick the one that appeals to you most and it would work out for her (or flip a coin if they all do?)

 

Just popping in to show off my new Maska, Rin (the human head, Clavis, is awaiting a faceup). I am so in love with his default faceup - I don't know if it's the white skin or what, but he really gives off a dark vibe! And the red eyes they sent with him are perfect... it's almost as if they knew I'd put a red wig on him

 

That is a spectacular faceup!! The little hint of gold around the eyes is

I honestly have no idea what body to get I am looking at the classic girl body now. I have looked at it before and I like the way it looks. The legs look so long and slim and I like it alot, but I don't know how I feel about single joints!

Rin is gorgeous I like the gold around his eyes. Ws are so pretty! I definitely want a ws boy or girl too in the future

I'm currently planning on getting a MDF Lio after I have gotten a KDF An. He'll be the complete opposite of Cora. I also want a female in the group oneday, but I'm waiting for Luts to release a bunny

What size wig do you recommend? As I patiently wait for my head, I'm curious as to what I have to buy. I'll be ordering from formydoll next week and figure I may as well grab his wig while I'm at it, if there's anything I like.

 

My Summery '10 wears 7-8 wigs (in Luts and Leekeworld.) Congratulations on getting one...it's a fabulous sculpt with tremendous depth of personality. I remember hunting for mine forever on the second hand market! How wonderful that Luts re-released them in its recent event. And here's my Summery '10 Pokemon trainer, Sugar, wishing you good luck with yours.

I don't actually buy Sugar very much gear because I have way too much fun making her outfits myself out of cute socks! I just make her cute, casual knit outfits that cost next to nothing but fit the styles they wear in the cartoons. I did buy her a couple of sleeping bags, a Gameboy and Nintendo DS, and some tiny Pokemon games to go with them. And of course she has complete access to my collection of over 50 Pokemon plushies to train! She's one of my most beloved characters.

 

Wait, Luts is re-releasing the Summery 10 head? I can't find anything about it on the site. Maybe I'm just confused. LOL.

@Fate, mine wears a Leeke 7-8 wig WITH a wig cap. Without, it will be loose. He fits into Leeke 6-7. I have photos of him wearing both if you're interested. I once bought a 7-8 Luts wig for him and it basically devoured his head. ugh.

Everyone's dolls are beautiful! I love the Summery 2010's, even had two myself, but they ended up going to new homes because I am just not a fan of boy dolls it seems. If I had the funds I would have snapped up a 2010 head with a girl body!


I've been working on some casual clothes for Wren to wear as we come into summer... she's very pleased to finally have pants, but would please like another pair that fit better. And Pip wants her shirt back :P

 

Yea, Duskblue, they released the head for just one day. And because I love Felix so much, I jumped on the summer '10 train. I like my summer event heads here, clearly. [Well, I have 14 and 15, but I had '13 for a few months. ]



So I'm thinking of getting my sister a Basil for Christmas..

@Fate: I LOVE the Basil sculpt. Cutie Patootie! I think you might be able to get the doll in time, and if not, you could like...print out the invoice and shove it into a pair of socks or somehting. I did that one year with a gift. They open it u and they're like "Oh. Socks." and then they look inside!

 

That doesnt' work with Marissa so much. xD she likes socks. I'd stillg et her something else too, spoiled brat. xD

I say go for it! I kinda want a Basil myself, and might get one in like two years, when I start buying dolls for my magical girl story (that I created when I was like 10. It's stupid but supr nostalgic for me)

painting heads into the evening to take advantage of the rare warm fall weather, but my elf bory looks a bit eerie out in the dark....

i'm finally getting a chance to catch up on all my faceups. some of them like this one have been waiting over a year! he was supposed to be a new head for quinn my bory boy, but the face is so different i'm not sure it works ( i just wanted the elf ears for quinn) i suppose i could either mod the eyes or send it out to be modded to match quinn's but i'm thinking it might make a great older brother instead does anyone know if the bory head would work on a model delf body? if i do put it on a different body i think it needs to be more mature than the old boy body i have.

 

Just want to share a photo of Chloe with her new eyes. I've had my Darae for more than a year now but I only had the guts to change her eyes a few weeks ago. These eyes were meant for my Summer 13 event head but I sold it, so I figured I'd put them on Chloe instead. It looks so much better than her previous dark navy blue eyes. I love the vibrant color of this one

 

Your Chloe is adorable and those eyes are gorgeous! I love the Darae sculpt with her sweet little smile.
