Luts KDF Darae unboxing

I just received my very first BJD, and I'm very happy with her. I figured I'd share some photos as Darae doesn't seem to be a very popular sculpt.

Everything came in a cardboard box, well padded with bubble wrap and air bags. That pretty boring, so no photos of that. Firstly, pictures of the goodies I got. There was also a COA and a leaflet with care instructions.


And the Winter Event free head. It says SDF65-8R on the inside. If anyone could identify the name of the sculpt it would be appreciated. I did look on the website, but I couldn't match it.


Her box. Came padded with a large white satin pillow top and bottom.


Inside she is well protected by a face plate, soft plastic bandages and bubble wrap


The mummy partially unwrapped. The bandage material runs between every joint, as in the elastic goes through it. It keeps the joints protected I suppose, but it was time consuming to remove.

And dressed. I like the green eyes she came with, I think I'll keep those in for now. The outfit also came with some lace sleeves, but I'd have to remove the hands to put them on, and that is way too much effort


The top is totally see through, which I didn't realise when I bought it. It needs to be lined or something. She poses quite well, easy to move her joints and she holds position just fine.

I like the body blushing. From reading around I'm a bit worried as to how durable it will be, but time will tell.

I like the dress, it's just that the top is just netting and totally see-through. I think bra's tend to not look right on a doll, so I'll either need to figure out how to line it or just ignore it. Option two is looking favorable

The body she's on is a "girl type 2 (multi)", with double jointed knees and elbows. Allows a great range of motion, but you can see the bent elbows above don't exactly look realistic. They look pretty good if you don't bend past 90*, and I'd imagine they'd look better if she had long sleeves as well.
