I dont know TOO many people with the 31cm line from LUTS, though it's got to be my absolute favorite proportion wise. However, when posing my 31 Madeleine, an anonymous piece, we are talking TINY, fell off of her. I examined every part of her and couldn't find where it could've come from. However I did immediately notice that one of her hands had become a bit wobbly. It still poses and everything but now I can wiggle it like I previously could not. I dont know if this is a joint problem, and I don't want to unstring her arms in fear of exacerbating the problem. I was just wondering if anyone else had any possible imput? (One of her knees was a bit rough, I received her like that. So definitely not from there 100% has to have been from her wrist)
Did you receive her recently? I think it's best to unstring and check on the damages before it's too late to get a replacement piece.
Check inside her headcap. I've had mutliple dolls chip inside the headcap along the ridges. None of my Luts dolls have but it's just a common chipping area in general.
I would compare the hands and inside the wrists to see if there's something different on the wobby side form the unwobbly hand. Not by unstringing, just by pulling the hands out one after another to look at the wrist parts and compare them. Good luck tracking it down. Teddy
Im willing to bet the s hook in the hand got stuck sideways and scraped a little resin off. Have you pulled the hands out to inspect the wrists? If the s hook is jammed at a weird angle it could mess with the tension and make the hand wobbly.
I didn't actually, im also her second owner! Honey31 habds are always available though so im not extremely worried about replacements. @Cap'n it's definitely the wrist, her head wasn't involved. @Cydril Pulling out the hand has caused the problem to worsen. I do believe it's the S hook that caused this issue but now her hand holds no tension. I can't see any obvious chipping, or why a chip that was a speck could cause this much damage. I have to unstring her to investigate. Aaah :^( Okay so double posting because I very quickly found the problem. This is Madeleine's left wrist There is this kind of resin overspill, it doesn't effect posing and is just kind of there. I believe that this is what chipped off on her right wrist. It's WHY it chipped off thats the problem. I took a picture with it straight to show how messed up it is. Multiple grooves and notches have been scratched out by her S hook. I believe it chipped off a part of this resin overfill and got caught on one of these grooves, releasing tension in her hand and causing it to become kind of floppy. I was at the time posing her. Its when I was moving her back into a neutral position that this tiny little chip popped off. I believe that her right hands S hook is a bit wider than the left, and it's like. Sawing her on the inside. I'll probably fix this myself, but I appreciate the help yall have given me and I hope that someone else can find this useful!
