Luts Honey Delf Discussion part 3

I ordered Taffy and Cookie last night in normal skin and without face up. I can't wait to see my boys

I can't remember how long I have swoon over LUTS dollies XD Finally, I can get some

I'm thinking of buying a Honey Delf, but I'm not sure which body to get... if anyone has any thoughts about Type 3 vs Type 5, I'd be interested to hear them.

 

@shan I only have a Type 5 body. Generally the Type 5 is the "chubby body" it's a little more childish and has a little bigger hands, while the Type 3 is a little slimmer. The joint system seems pretty much the same (tight joints, double joined legs an arms, torso joint) but the hands of type 5 are two parted (one ball thing on wich the hand sits) while the "normal" honey delf hands are one piece, though I don't know, whether this has a real effect on posability or anything, it's just a little easier to remove the hands, with the two part system, as far as I can see. The "normal" Honeydelf Hands fit on the Type 5 body without problems, though they will look unproportional, if mixed with type 5 hands, since those are bigger. The Type 5 hands have a special mention by Luts, to only fit on Type 5 (I don't have a Type 1-3 body to test, but I guess they wouldn't tell just for fun).

Eek! I ordered my brown Tyltyl Elf on a white (unblushed) Zebra centaur body. Has anyone else got one?

The new standalone heads offer looks good, but they haven't listed a brown option yet :/

I ordered the full-blush zebra with a Gabriel 2 head.

I sold my original Custom House Gabriel because she was a weird size -- she was too big for 26cm outfits & too small for the outfits my Dollmore Narsha & 14" child-fashion dolls shared. So *now*, of course, Luts will be releasing Gabriel on that weird size!

 

If you look at the pictures, it looks like the small bust version fits just fine in HD tops/dresses, but has longer legs. It's similar to what they did with the TinyDelf vs the TinyDelf20 dolls...pretty much the same body, but longer legs. Shirts/dresses fit the torso, but legs are longer so pants do not. Personally, I would have preferred them to scale them slightly larger/taller so that they fit into the Narsha/KID/Chibi Unoa group, but maybe that didn't work for what they wanted.

Debating whether to add one to the troop.

Ohh these honey delfs are soo pretty. I am considering a Lolly or Raphael? Please does anyone have a Lolly or Raphael they could share pictures of? Could you show her next to a 40cm MSD if possible?

May I ask the age these dolls are meant to be? I have a 17cm Myou Fenlinger and I'm hoping for this Honey Delf to be a big sister to her with Myou Delia MSD (44cm) as a Mum. Really sorry to mix brand names on the thread but I'm having such a dither on which doll to be the big sister to the family I have.

Please do you have any tips for a newbie to Luts? What to expect or not to expect?
My doll fam is listed in my signature, to see who she will be joining, as you can see I'm still new.

My Honey 31 Delf girl arrived. I don't have any info on clothes because I made my own, but with shoes they fit fine. Any YoSD size shoes will fit.

I'm super excited! My luts order shipped on monday and tracking says it'll be here tomorrow! I ordered a Madeleine (along with a sdf65 and a body for my ly) and a cute little outfit for her. I've never owned a honey delf before so I'm anxious to play with her! I've decided to call her Macadamia to go along with my other fruit and nut themed kiddos.

 

Does anyone know if Luts would fix a faceup that they did?
My HD Brownie has had a chip on his lips for years and I'd love to get it fixed. He has the default faceup for his sculpt.
Does Luts have a system where I can send his head to them to get it fixed or redone? Or do I just have to find some other artist?

 

Hullo I'm a newcomer to the YoSD size, but I saw that Honey Delf Pegasus and promptly dove for it. So quick question if I ever want to get the regular, human Bory- does Luts ever do any good sales events?

 

They usually do events for new year, spring, summer and winter. Though not necessarily all of them in the same year. And it changes between order x amount of $$$ and get (insert free item) or some % off certain purchases. They also do coupons sometimes too.

I noticed in my superfast internet googling that Luts Honey Delfs seem to be less well known than Fairlyand Littlefees, which is a shame, because they are at least of a comparable cuteness. Maybe..... Littlefees are older? Shrug. I'm just here to say: Wow, Bory Honey Delf is very cute and I need to say that. I'm surprised because it's not a style I usually go for.

 

Honey delfs used to be called cutie delfs and they were around much longer than littlefees. But fairyland used to be part of luts before they split.

After not owning a BJD for a few years (had to sell mine ) I am looking into buying a Honey Delf. I am in doubt between a Real Brown skin Lolly or a Real Brown skin Pretzel. I haven't seen these in Light tan either so if anyone has pictures of these dolls in these skintones I would LOVE to see your pictures. It would help me choose.

 

I'm so excited! I just bought my first Honey Delf & she arrived today! Muriel is the one & I've been having tons of fun playing with her this afternoon. Discovered she's really a blond & doesn't look good in red. It fights with her face-up colors. Wish I knew how to post pics here using Flickr as the host. I've gotten what I need to trim for the Marketplace but have no idea what I need to do on other forums.

 

@Gwydion Wow! Congrats! She sounds adorable. For Flickr, after you click into the picture you want to share, you will find a curling arrow below and to the right of the picture. That’s the share button. It will give you a pop-up with options. BBcode will be what you want to copy. I hope that helps.
