Ordering Luts event heads with layaway?

Apologies if there's a thread about this anywhere, I had a bit of a search and couldn't find anything specifically on this. This might also just be a very newbie question

I'm looking at putting some things on layaway with Luts in the next few months but am wondering, if I do so during an event where they offer a gift head with orders over a certain value, does that apply if you're paying with layaway as well? Basically is it worth me waiting to see what the releases are for the next event period are before I dive in or am I not going to be able to access the promotion anyway, so don't let myself get tempted...
