Reviving this thread to show off my newest Baby Delf acquisition. I also recently got a Volks DearSD for more of that big baby chubby goodness.

This is Theodore, or Theo for short. He's a Gabriel in WS and is a living teddy bear. (Reshelled from a Myou DouDou in WS.) Debating on giving him brown hair instead of blonde, but he's adorable with either. I haven't had a male big baby in a while and need to get him some more masculine clothing eventually~

You really have embraced this size, haven't you. What a lovely group they make.

I've added a couple of DearSD hybrids (slightly bigger than Baby Delf but still able to share clothes) and an Amooooore doll bybrid of similar size to my family, but they're all Off-Topic hybrids as they have repainted Disney Animator heads.

I actually have a Dear SD as well! Though I put that head on an SD10 body and am still figuring out what head I want for the DSD body. I love how thick they are and how they can wear 18" clothes. My one irk is the DSD hands though. Baby Delf have so much lovelier hands imo.

I've been curious about those Amooooore bodies. Are they resin? I've only seen them by themselves so wonder what they look like next to a Baby Delf or other big baby.

 

They are resin, and designed specifically for hybridding with the Disney Animator heads. The same clothes that fit Baby Delf work well on them.

I thought I had some pictures of the Amooooore Doll with Little Marina's Baby Delf body, but I can't find any. I have one (very fuzzy, sorry) of it with the DearSD body and an nimators body (Disney Animators heads on BJD bodies). If I get a chance, I'll take one/some with all three bodies together

Thanks for the pic! Would love to see more when you get the chance. Looks like another dolly to add to my wishlist. Though I don't think they sell those bodies anymore? The etsy shop seems to be gone and they haven't posted on IG in nearly a year. :<

 

{checks Etsy} You're right, I hadn't realized the shop wasn't there any more - Perhaps they'll resurface at some point.

I'll try and get arorund to taking some comparison pictures with the Bbay Delf, DearSD, and Amooooore bodies for you.

The Amooooore Doll ones don't appear to be at the moment (the Etsy shop is closed) but I don't know if the shop is closed down for good or just taking a break. The Dear SD ones work nicely but you need to make a neck adaptor to attach the head with (I adapted it from the original piece holding the head to the Animator body - the pieces holding the arms on can also be used so there's three chances to get it right with each Animator body that donates a head).

Baby Delf bodies might work too - I haven't tried

Does anyone happen to have a photo of one of their 40cm baby’s with a Senior Delf? Curious how they look together.

 

Here's a pic of one of my Baby Delf with an SD65. I can get a pic of Baby Delf and Senior Delf tomorrow if I'm reminded. Do you want to see male or female Senior Delf?

I'd have liked a Gabriel but they didn't offer the head on it's own and I already had a body (an an unwanted head) from when they first released the line. I found an old CustomHouse Ai head that worked with the body instead.

I literally predicted (hopefully not manifested) the discontinuation of the Baby Delf Line just a few days ago on another thread.
It makes me so sad. This is my favorite Luts line and I won't be able to get a single doll from it - not even my favorite.
Sadly not the first time something like this has happened to me either.
Joined the hobby too late, I guess.

Looks like Luts is also discontinuing their last remaining Senior Delf Boy body and the "new" version of the older style Super Senior Delf body. Along with losing the Baby Delf line, I hate to say that Luts has lost its place as my favorite company as I'm not a fan of the aesthetic direction they've taken.

Time to look over my finances to see if I can afford a Baby Delf or two before they're gone.

 

It's nice to have a variety of body types available, I have a Baby Delf and two DearSD bodies (though they have OT heads). I'm the same with my SD-or 1/3 sized kiddies - I like a variety of builds and heights so they don't look like they're all the same size and shape even though it's hard to find bodies in that size with child-shaped bodies rather than more mature figures.

Fingers crossed. I know for certain I'm not going to be able to afford any dolls until s the latter half of next year due to foolishly overcommitting my time and finances to events for the first 5 months of 2025

If I can swing for 2, I want Lily, Violet, and/or Rose. One would be in brown and the other would be in rosey brown or one of the other newer tan options (if they will let me). I've been wanting a tan/brown baby delf for years but never pulled that trigger. Plus secondhand they don't really seem to pop up in those resin colors.

Agreed. Their new aesthetic doesn't appeal to me either...

 

And you could always dye them.

I've dyed both my DearSD bodies to a better colour match for their hybrid heads, ther's no reason it shouldn't work for BabyDelf too.

My "to dye" list is already about 4 dolls long so probably better if I don't add to that as some have been waiting a while. But I can always get brown and the darkest tan option since they're the same price for that upcharge anyways. I just miss when brown was no upcharge.

Sadness! I just found out that Luts no longer sells this line! I was debating for so long about getting my first one too but life and reasons kept getting in the way. Hopefully, the secondhand market will be kind to me someday.
