Discussion LUTS 7th Anniversay LE Discussion!

Wow, I'm caught out of the blue with this one and at the worst possible time -_-; Never even considered a LUTS doll until I popped over on a whim to have a look at these guys. That Lolly is absolutely perfect for a character of mine--I really like her innocent, but slightly smirky face along with those dark clothes. And usually I can't stand black clothes on my dolls but this is awesome. I wonder if I request those black eyes they'll give them to me? It worked with Souldoll and Leeke before...Anyway, I'll see if I can't dig up some funds over the coming weeks to bring Lolly home. I hope so!

 

I'm finding it hard to tell with the blushing and since I am not too familiar with Luts resin, is Anko pictured with NS resin or white?

 

Good question. It looks like something in between. Like maybe the lighting is so bright, it's making the normal skin look much lighter.

 

They're both very pretty but me and my bank account are incredibly happy that child-like dolls do absolutely nothing for me.

o wow, i just finished blushing and face-upping my 5 years old ariadoll banana not too long ago.She has wings as well, and since her i have this weakness for winged yo-sd size dolls, i think the honeydelf will be a good friend for my banana.
I love the lolly face and i really like those wings as well, not sure if i can blush black wings by myself..
I really like to do all the work on a doll myself, i helps me bond and it is so much more fun to create her myself..but i love the company face-up and that wing blushing, sigh, but i remembered how much fun it was to face-up and blush my banana....hmm i have to think aboy her, i really do like her face and the wings, so i guess she is a must have for me..lol

 

I am torturing myself with all the looking at lolly moments .. I totally love her but she is actually a little over priced for what I can offer.. if she was less costing, I would sure get her .. sadly, I am afraid I have to pass after all the excitements

 

The dolls are now up on the Luts site. They're freaking adorable. Anyone else feel since they created these two for the Anniversary that they should be offered as a prize in a contest?

 

Doesn't that seem a little presumptuous? It's awesome enough that Luts created these for DoA's anniversary theme. We're very lucky for the wonderful relationships we have with various doll companies, and we're very pleased to be able to work with Luts for this limited item. We got dolls from other companies as prizes, and those are pretty fantastic. I don't think Luts owes DoA dolls as prizes.

 

I wasn't trying to sound rude or anything I love LUTS, I just meant it would be nice if they offered one of them as a prize. It's defiantly awesome that they created LE dolls to celebrate DoA's 7th anniversary and I didn't mean the dolls donated as prizes are bad or anything, heck no, I'm entering a few contests because i want the prize dolls.

 

I think the post is rude to both Luts and to the other companies that donated a prize. Luts was being great in creating them so that they would be available for people to buy, for those who want to and can.

Unless I read your post wrong, were you asking if they would be great prizes because you were feeling generous and wanted to subsidize them as great prizes?

 

I repeat, I wasn't trying to be rude to LUTS or any other doll company, and as much as I love LUTS and DoA I do not have the money to subsidize a doll as a prize. I apologize if I come across as being rude.

 

I think that DoA is extremely lucky to be given any dolls as prizes. I can't think of any other forum that gets the same treatment. Perhaps Luts feels that the effort they put into designing a doll specially for the forum is prize enough. Personally, I love the design of the dolls and would be happy to buy one, I'm just hoping I can get the cash together in time. Both dolls are gorgeous.

 

It's really cool that DoA is being supported like this by doll companies And I figured it all out and I'll be able to bring Lolly home! Buuut now I'm struggling with if I want the wing blushing or not. Actually I love it, and it's gorgeous and the exact color I need it to be for this character. But then I'm thinking, because there's purple on the wings, there's not much that goes with purple...Basically they won't match outfits very well with the blushing. Oh the indecision! But in any case I'm just happy I can get her Will we have a waiting room just for these two or should I join a general Luts waiting room?

 

I quite like the wing shape when it's folded and how it's designed so they still look complete when folded up, like a set of tiny wings and not of folded larger wings.
I really like Lolly but I will pass because I need money ready for if a certain doll sculpt appears on special order.

 

I do like how they engineered the jointing on the wing. The thing with any jointed wing is there is usually a position that it's hyper-extended. (for example Volks Show wings look ripped if you extend them past the open position they are designed for.)

What I was referring to was this position of the Lolly wings

Though I think with proper lighting one can photograph them so they look like wing talon tips


I really love the open fully extended circular position of the wings the best. It's very striking. The blushing design is very nice on both of them. Really gives them the look of shiny feathers. I tend to be a wing fanatic so had to mention the one thing that struck me as odd I should have originally added all the awesome design details too that I noticed.

 

This is probably a silly question but I've never had to deal with dolls with fancy appendages so please bear with me! I know the wings are attached via magnets (right?) but is the other half of the magnet built into the doll or does it just clip onto the clothes?

Also, I would like to take this opportunity to wave a violin bow in anger at Junkets' avatar ^^;

 

Well usually the magnets are built in. In some sculpts like Soom's .. you'd have to insert the magnets in yourself >3< but I am not sure of eluts .. so I hope someone confirm the information ..

 

Oh man. I need those wings. And I need a body for an incoming head that size...I wonder if Popodoll's resin would match? The irony if I do end up going for it, given that I passed on the Popodoll body because I thought it was too expensive! (well, that and I didn't like the jointing) Jointed black/purple wings...oh my. I never should have logged on here today!

 

I need an enabler... someone tell me this is worthy to take money out of my "emergency fund" temporarily...

Just noticed they made cute wallpapers of these dolls.

 

Well, imagine that the limited buying time is over and you have the money in your account but can't afford them. How desperately would you want them now. I love the whole look and would want face-up, wing blushing and outfit. I can live without the body blushing. Sigh. I'm currently paying off a layaway on Leekeworld Clarice. Why must these dolls come along to tempt me.

 

Bah I shouldn't have but I just couldn't help ordering one of the cuties. >_< The wings are to beautiful to pass up and Lolly's face is just fangirl squee worthy. Sigh. There goes my saveings... again....

 

@Hobbysue: I know exactly what you mean! I have the money, but I'm not sure if I should just jump on both of them, because I'm still looking for a roommate to split rent, so I may not be able to actually afford them. D:

And on a separate note, I just realized that I might have to buy Lolly for a friend as a gift. My friend isn't in the doll hobby and said she probably would never be in it. But I asked her what her perfect doll would be, and she said a cute, innocent-looking girl with black wings...that's Lolly!

 

I hope she is worth it XD lol I bet she is. but now I am playing the waiting game again. It will drive me crazy someday.

it is funny how things work out like that. I have a friend that wanted and Angel doll even though she isn't in the hobby and I would totally point out Anko to her. Problem is she wouldn't want to pay that much money for a doll. I think most people think I am insane. sigh oh well.

As much as I really want the dark one, there's no way I can justify the expense, since she is not a sizeI would do much with. I just don't care about medium-sized kid dolls; I just wanted the pretty black wings. She's beautiful, though, and I look forward to pictures from all the lucky people who buy her!

I'm new to buying from Luts, and was wondering what the size difference is between the Delf, Junior delf, and senior delf is???

 

I don't think this is the place to be asking that question but I'll answer it anyway.
Senior Delf is 62.5, Delf is 60, Jr. Delf is 52. And to keep this a bit on topic the little Lolly and Anko are 26 cm.

 

Just put in my order for Lolly! I haven't got a name or a character for her yet... hopefully she'll tell me...

I guess now I'm waiting for a confirmation email and an invoice for paypal?

I always liked Lolly and was happy to see her as a limited edition. However I feel Lolly should be wearing the white outfit & Anko should wear the black based on their face sculpts.

I wish I had enough money to just buy both then switch the accessories & sell the Anko doll but selling Anko outright seems too cruel. Also sadly I do not have enough money so I'm just going to let these cuties go.

Please anyone expecting to get these girls take ALOT of pictures.

I totally agree with you about the outfits, but I still love them both. If I had the $$, I would have gotten them both.

yes, she's a Yo size! she wears all the things I made for my Littlefee girl and it all fits perfectly.

 

Oh, she's just beautiful! I agree, we definitely need wings like that in MSD size.
