Lumedoll Mature Mini discussion Part 1

Here is my Tyl in tan. He can wear the Tonner clothes but pants are a bit high water on him.
He is quite lovely..beautiful resin color and detail to the face-up that just blows me away.

I also have Rana although I am having lots of trouble finding the right clothes and shoes for her. Also, have had to order smaller wigs. They take a 5-6. This wig that is on her is a 6-7 and too big. it is an old mohair that I had so hair is all over her face.



She is quite lovely and again the quality of the resin is beautiful. I am very pleased.

 

jo1961, does normal MNF-size clothing not fit her very well?

 

I have only tried my Tonner/Wilde clothes on them. This is my first venture into this size doll and I honestly thought they would be closer in size to my narins. Of course, they are not. They are very thin and tall but well proportioned. Now I shall show my ignorance: What does MNF stand for? Sorry..

The eyes are 6 or 8 mm.

I looked up some other company sizes for comparison. The Lume doll is actually about the same size as a Kish 16” adult model. I will post a photo of the two next to each other. I am sure the Lumedoll female can wear the Kish clothes. The Tonner 16” head is actually smaller..their wigs are tight - at least the few I have did not fit properly.

Hi, hane! *waves hello* And thank you! I'm really thrilled to my toenails about Rischa. ^_^ I got mine in Normal Pink. The tan was super tempting, but a little bit out of my price range at the mo. Oh well, maybe for Tyl... (After all, Rischa is gonna need a friend. Heh heh.) My mom (bookdreamer22 here on DoA) bought a Tyl for herself in Yellow Normal, so it'll be interesting to compare the two in person. I'll be sure to take pictures to post when they both arrive. You'll have to take pictures of your tan boy as well. I totally want to see him!!

But yeah - Rischa will be my first MSD, so I'm gonna have to do some shopping. (All of my current boys are 60-70cm. ^^;; ) Luckily, I just finished a fabric swap here on DoA, so I'm thinking I'll also try to make him some new duds when he shows up.

Can anyone recommend somewhere to get clothes for these guys? Do any other companies offer clothes for similar sized bjds? Has anyone tried Dollmore's FD outfits on the 45cm Lumedolls? (The 16" Dollmore FDs are OT, but it looks like they're fairly close measurement-wise to the Lumedoll 45cm boys.)

 

Hey! 6mm is not too small - that's OK. And wigs he needs size 5-6. I have Tyl in tan color with default eyes and make-up. The only thing that saddens me is the light stripes after sanding. And the rest is fine!

They are annoying because are very notable. Up to 1 cm broad, and in these areas tan color has turned into a normal. This can be seen even on this little picture - here they are, on the legs.

I hope that later on they will merge with the base color, as happened with my other bjds, which also have the defect.

 

Thanks for that, well I'm not that advised for those lines on hands, coz he will get sleeves tattoos and whole back one + partial on torso And the legs, he will have long sleeves pants so no problem about it XD Does your boy have normal msd clothes on him?

 

Yes, and no problem only with knee-high socks .

I have been looking at thses dolls for a while. Tezuko, I love your tan Tyl. And Slersk, Seris is really nice in the gray resin. I really widh I could find the resin tones on that site..... >.>

Hello! I'm hoping to pick up a Rischa head soon--does anyone have some pics of him they can share?

 

Yes I have been looking at them as well. I wish there was more info on where to find clothes & shoes that fit them. Doing a compare of other fashion style & slim MSD dolls to see who comes close. So far seems the boy has the best luck on clothes from places like Dollmore. The girl seems to be smaller, but not sure if it's an issue or not. Would love to get a pair. Does anyone know if the wait time is really 2-3 months or could it be sooner.

 

TTYA's mini clothes work pretty well for my Tyl, so far.

Violetmons photos are what made me want a Rischa so badly!!!! I fell in love . But those photos seem to be so well composed, I wasn't sure if I could trust the posing lol.

I love how my Lumes pose. Of course, they are not souble-jointed, so they are a bit limited... but they accept very realistic and natural poses.

HERE is my Rana posing (warning: NUDITY).

 

My doll came in and I do love her posing abilities. She is also VERY pretty. I obsessively checked over the measurements but I must say I was unprepared for how SMALL her head would be! The poses and images done by Violetmon on Flickr made me think that she would be suitable to be posed near my other dolls...this is sadly not the case. I still really love her though so I'm not sure yet how I will go about things. Keep her or sell her....keep her or sell her.....she's a Rische on a female body....did anyone else have shock when they received theirs?

 

Not at all. I checked LumeDoll's comparisons and noticed they are small-headed, even near to an Unoa (they use smaller wigs indeed, 5-6 size like Lati yellow). They are similar in proportions to Tonner dolls and I think they look nice near to Unoa 2nd (Mocha and Cream).

 

I knew her head would be small, but I'd been looking at images like this http://25.media.tumblr.com/0c5051d4df7df640a87b9d1ecbd81ce9/tumblr_mkpd4aVjBA1qbnhrco1_1280.jpg where she was put near a I believe 50-60 cm doll, and somehow looked fine. The 5/6 wig I got her floats on her head lol. She IS very beautiful though.

 

I tried Monique wigs on my Lumes and I must agree, 4-5 was too small and 5-6 a bit too big... but now my Rischa is wearing a fur wig made by me and my Rana is wearing a wefted mohair wig made by Sunny WW, and they are perfect for them.

Yeah, but the way it's angled it seemed like it would work. I bought her to go with a Zaoll Luv, and they have small heads and look good next to most msd's

lol they don't work well together. Just a warning for people wanting to mix these dolls with bigger ones! I DO love her sculpt though, so pretty!

MatsChristiana, you'd better have 5-6" silicone headcap, just in case for them I bought some wigs from HappyCamille & used them with headcap - they fitted fine for my Rana doll. Then finally she obtained a custom-made wig.

 

OOH, What a lovely Rana! I love her outfit and color scheme! I prefer handmade mohair wigs for my Rana also.

I've just ordered an Atik, so in a couple of months I hope to have photos to share here as well.

What colour did you order your Atik?

I got dragged in by the pale skin version on the Lumedoll site, which reminds me strongly of an old friend (broad face, floppy dark fringe, Mick Jagger lips...), but I'm impressed at how well the sculpt looks in dark skin, too. I'm very interested in seeing more owner photos.

 

I ordered him in ebony (although I did consider going for bronze) - I imagine having him look like a miniuture version of my Iplehouse dark Aaron. I think he has a face that could look very different depending on the colour and the faceup, so I look forward to seeing other versions as well!

I was only my determination not to order more dolls until I actually have my first MSD and decide whether that size is right for me--and my indecision about resin colours--that kept me from placing an order or two during the sale. (Currently considering ebony or bronze Atik and white(-ish) Rischa-on-female-body.)

I'd really like to see more owner photos, though. I'm still learning how to reimagine a sculpt, so seeing what others do with them is fascinating and informative.

 

I just received the shipping notice for my Atik, so hopefully he'll arrive in a few days now!

 

I'll keep an eye on this thread for the photos, then.

He's gorgeous, I'm so pleased with him. But I can't believe how petite he is! I don't own any wigs that fit him (luckily he looks good bald!) and, although you can't see it in this photo, he's wearing jeans off a female fashion doll.

I just finished the look of my Lumedoll Rischa and still have to take a few shots of him aswell.
I had the same problem with finding a wig so I ended up making one for him =D

 

I still don't have a wig for my Atik (I made him one this weekend, but it didn't quite fit properly), but he does have a new outfit at least!

How can you not love this size, and all the detail put into them they look stunning!
Two of these guys live here, Tyl in WS and Rischa in Tan. I don't know how much time I've been spending just sitting looking at every little part of them, admiring the care for every little detail on every inch of them.





Have yet to paint either of the two gents, but even without make-up they look amazing.
