The Website is up and running! http://www.lumedoll.com/ Workshop here: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=179980 You can find a order thread here:http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2729413#post2729413 News thread: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2737693#post2737693 Database: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3537858&postcount=1 I've met the artist and she's a wonderful person! Her dolls well made and sturdy. I personally have my eye on Kied! (Keid in whiteskin on left, Ain in normalskin on right) Doll measurements - Height - 60cm Chest - 24cm Waist - 19cm Hips - 22cm Foot - 7.4cm Shoulder - 12.5cm Neck - 9cm Arm (shoulder to wrist) - 18cm 7-8" wig size 14mm-16mm eye size From left to right : Ain, Keid, & Naos * Keid has teeth that can be removed for painting. Dollist: All my dolls are made using professional materials and techniques (vacuum and pressure chambers to eliminate air bubbles) and have UV stabilizer added to the resin mix to reduce or eliminate yellowing over time.
I'm really in love with Keid too! You don't find open mouths often in BJD's. I love his expression and am saving for him as we speak
I've been faithfully stalking dollist's threads for quite a while now. I can't wait till I can get mine! Ain will be my first SD boy and an original character. And I have my eye on Keid for a vampire doll.
YAY! I'm going for a Vampire Kied too! Speaking of that hot body of his, man is it well sculpted!!! Willowy but muscular...Looks like he a solid stander too. I'd love to hear reviews from those lucky owners out there.
Hi there! This is just cool ! Well, I don't have any plans right now to sell the heads separately. It might be a possibility later on in the year if I can find out what they match and fit, but I won't make any promises . And about their standing ability, I can get them to stand on one leg (with one foot completely off the ground) with just a little effort. Actually that's going to be a test I put them through before they're shipped , I think! It's fun for some reason (and then I know they've been done right ).
Dollist - Wow~ That sounds real spiffy xD I am interested in Keid head. I'll be in the look out if you're going to open order for the heads only ^^/
Oh dollist, I have a question! Do you have any plans for different hand sculpts?Or willing to sell extra pairs that we can reshape ourselves?
I was going to do some different hand sculpts, but I sort of never got around to it. However, with the dolls that I've made so far, I have developed a habit of repositioning fingers when they've cured. So each doll has a distinct pair of his own hands. Hey maybe I could throw in a spare pair for now if anybody wanted some (I sometimes have a bit of resin left over from some of the pours). Actually I like the "mystery hands" ! But....I should probably leave well enough alone .
"Done" is a bad term that only encourages the Universe to prove you wrong For now I'm not worring about it
Just thought I'd let everybody know that I'm going to go to IDEX in Orlando, FL (just to wander around) and will probably have a doll with me because there seems to be a meet up being planned (I think?). I might take Keid with me and I always share my toys ! Also, on the marketplace thread, I've added that I can take layaways because I want to make things easier for anyone that's interested. , -eva
Dangnabbit, I'm new to this forum so I can't see Dollist's marketplace thread. (Not that it matters too much right now, as I'm A) broke and B) my dolly 'want' list is getting crazy long.) Really looking forwards to seeing owner pictures of these guys, though!
Sergeo is a great name!...and you got a banner! Man I thought I loved Kied. You go girl! Angharad - Well here is hoping by the time you can afford one you can get into the marketplace A long 'want list' is a good thing. It'll parr down over time. Doesn't mean you won't have a huge collection if you get all the dolls you adore, but for the most part you'll get an idea of what kind of collection you want, who fits in and who doesn't
Well, the thing is, my want lists fluctuate wildly over time anyway. I have a few dolls that I look at and think; 'man, a year ago, I never would have considered buying this doll... but I'm glad I did,' or 'if I hadn't purchased this doll when I'd wanted him a year ago, I probably wouldn't like him so much... Still, I'm glad I did, because I love him now.' So I end up liking whoever I buy anyway. It's just a matter of who to buy first, and having the money for them. Gotta prioritize. Anyway, I love Ain, although I think Naos has this really sweet and patient look.
I'm sorry I got the impression you where new to dolls. Sounds like you're quite the veteran. Isn't it always that was with dolls though. Who you like changes constantly. there are a few of my older boys that I don't think I'd buy now, though it doesn't effect my love for them. To get back 'on topic' Naos is very nice too. The other I'm really interested in seing finished is Phaet He reminds me of a mature Latidoll Red boy. I'm intrigued as I enjoy those sculpts but they're a bit too childish for me to love...so here's hoping
Well, I want to support Dollist. She's a great lady and her dolls should get much love! I've got a link to her sales thread if you click on my banner!
I really like that sculpt too. I think it is the eyes that I love the most for both the Lati Reds and Phaet.
Oooh! A new buff body?! Looks neat! So that body will exclusively be for Phaet then...My mind is thinking up all the possabilities
Yeah, Phaet's body is bigger all around and the 60cm boys' heads don't look right on it. And when he's done I'll probably phase out the other boys.
Oh my... The body would be so perfect for a character I have in mind. Only the head I've already decided. ^^; Nice skinny body!!
I like all the dolls, but can't afford them all. (But I really like Phaet, so I want to see how he comes along.)
So... is anyone else waiting for a Lumedoll? I didn't see a waiting room anywhere I'm waiting on a WS Naos (he's on layaway) and I'm SO EXCITED! I've started a pattern for some pants for the skinny Lumedoll booties (he sure ain't gonna fit in my normal SD pants) Hopefully I'll get it perfected so he has a nice outfit waiting for him when he gets home
I was checking out the artist thread earlier with the pics of Naos coming to fruition. VERY cool to see the process! Can't wait to see the new boy in resin : )
I'm waiting for the next order period myself. A BW Kied will be comming home this spring. I can't wait to see more owner pictures, and to see what you ll do with your boys!
Hee hee. I couldn't really afford one either but Dollist was sweet enough to offer layaway. I'm over half paid off! The lovely Naos will come home to me soon and then I'll pic spam him
Hey there, Here's a link to a Keid in the gallery that I think is interesting http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=196437 . I love how he turned out. For me it's pretty exciting to see what each doll ends up looking like and how different they become!
I promise I'll spam Dane (That's what I'm planning on naming Naos) ALL over so you'll get to see lots of him Keid looks really lovely in those pics BTW
She did great job with him! I keep looking at that thread (drooling at the photos). She also posted a few other shots not in her DoA thread on Resinality: http://www.abjds.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2913
Hee hee. I keep popping over to look at that thread too. It's making me wish I'd ordered a Naos AND a Keid. But now that she's making a loverly Girly.... -ponders- If anyone reading this already has a Lumedoll lovely in their hands they should start a database thread -wink wink- I'll start it when my Naos arrives if no one else has at that point.
The girl looks good but I'm not able to bring girls home. That's the hubby's domain I'll be making sure he sees her finished, just in case The new head for Ain looks rockin' !Kinda Reminds be of Phaet only softer in the chin/jaw. I'm good with that because I was really liking Phaet too. I'm curious to see him finished as I know the big boy is on the back burner. I can't wait to see what you do with Naos. He's got such a sweet face. Do you have something planned or are you waiting to see what direction he goes in once he's home?
YUP! The moment I saw him his character popped into my head and I had to have him. He's going to be the "frail rich kid" Not snooty rich kid... more like sheltered and sweet and innocent. Haven't worked out the details yet but he's going to be HEAVY on the innocence, like he's 16 and never heard about the birds and the bees. Hee hee. I can't wait to have him home. I'm sure my other boys will work hard to corrupt him EDIT FOR SQUEEEING She's done with my Naos and he's shipping tomorrow! OMG I'm so excited! She sent a preview pic and he looks BEYOND AWESOME!
LOL! Innocent boys do make fun characters to have interact with the more 'worldly'. Congrats! Well then we should see your boy very soon!
I really like Ain, he reminds me of someone I knew once, sure do miss him, may have to consider him this year. I like his small frame, very unique in design
The next order period will probably be in April. It may be sooner, but I know Dollist is enjoying herself with her new sculpts. I'm not going to rush her aka_Spooky - Your boy is soo sweet! Congrats!
Just a head up...the next ordering period starts Friday, March 28! And this will be the last time Ain is available...I'm going to discontinue him. The website may have the ordering info up by the 28th, but if it doesn't the marketplace thread has been updated!
April 14th if I remember... Eeep! I'm getting my Keid!!! He is going to be such a seductive vampire! I have his outfit, and his eyes, and...and... SQUEEE! Ok, I'll behave now :P
Okay I am really loving how the new body looks and poses and the girl is very natural and different from the other molds out there. I'm really impressed!
I know! They post so naturally it's amazing. Everyone of them is bendy and very will fitted. I don't think my boy needs anything but his string tightened.
The website is here. I'll add to it as I go along! One of these is on the site, but I had to share it... http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x3/dollist/bBODYPICTURES024.jpg ...and I know it is a very weird pose( yes go ahead and laugh now!), but I didn't know the boys could do this! He's not wired or sueded, and there are no locking mechanisms on my dolls, just simple ball and socket joints. I find new things out the more I play with them!
Congrats on getting the website up and running!! One of the first things my Ain did out of the box was a bended knee pose. It was awesome! That pose looks like a football hike!
WOW!! I love the way he can pose like that!! Izar is so handsome and the price is great too, I am looking for a special last doll for my group
