Just For Fun Luckiest or Unluckiest Doll Experiences

My luckiest experience was definitely the whole process of getting Rebecca, my Volks Renee. I literally won the lottery on that one, and on top of that was lucky enough to have family generously gift me money to pay for her. And then just last week she survived 20 hours of international travel unharmed snuggled up in my backpack. She's one lucky black cat, that's for sure.

Aside from that, I've been very lucky to get a couple limited-edition or about-to-be-discontinued dolls, and had good luck with discount sales.

I have had a few inconvenient or bothersome experiences, like messing up a faceup or watching LEs pop up when I can't afford them, but nothing I would consider deeply unlucky... yet. **Knock on wood**

 

I had the same experience when the USPS damaged a computer I was shipping to myself when I moved from NY to California. The box was dropped off the end of the truck by the post office, and so the case was bent and damaged. The P.O. wanted me to give them my whole computer. WTF! ! ! ! My whole computer with personal files, work files, and everything. Think again USPS. I ended up just keeping the damaged case and had to live with it until I could afford a new one, even though from then on I couldn't play disks cuz the drawer was bent. GRRR

 

One of my unluckiest experiences is when I purchased a SD loongsoul doll second hand and she arrived in a super oversized box. Upon opening I saw that the doll had actually slipped and slid all around. Thus one of here fingers was broken and her eye lashes were smashed. To this day her poor finger is semi glued together. O.O;

Why is it that Loongsoul doesn't pack their dolls as well as other companies? Granted in my case it was second hand packed.
