The lost souls shawl from Ravelry has been pretty popular online for a while... so I decided to scale it down! You can follow the pattern almost exactly, but you need to swap yarn and hook sizes. I used Aunt Lydia’s size 10 lace thread and a 1.5 mm hook. For a 60cm doll, the shawl will have five rows, with the top row having five skulls. It should be about 12 inches on each side when you get to this point. Because this pattern is super adjustable, it can really work for any size BJD, once it starts to become a size that looks like what you need, just measure it on your doll before you start your next increase row and add another row if necessary. Once your shawl is wide enough to wrap around your doll’s shoulders and is long enough to reach the waist, you can follow the finishing instructions. For 70cm dolls, you will probably want 6 or 7 rows based on your preferred look. For 1/4 dolls, you’ll want 3 or 4. And for 1/6 dolls you’ll want 1 or 2.
