66cm+ Dolls Loongsoul Xuandi Fullset (lots of pics)

I've always admired Loongsoul and hoped to own one of their fullsets someday. When they released Xuandi/Black Dragon in December, I knew I'd found the one. I ordered the human emperor fullset. Given how elaborate the fullset is and how popular he was, I was prepared to wait for more than a year, so it came as a total surprise when the dealer told me he was ready in July! I hadn't even finished paying off my layaway lol. Of course, I paid it off immediately so I could bring him home ASAP!

He was actually shipped in two packages, one with the doll himself and the other with his fullset accessories. I got the package with the doll today. No idea when the other one is coming.

The smaller box contains his wig (which is lace-front and therefore intimidates me too much for me to try putting it on, at least for now...) Also apologies for the blurry pics; blame it on new doll excitement. :P

And here he is! Fully assembled, standing upright. I got him on the 75cm body, making him easily the tallest doll I now own. The sculpting of his body is just fantastic and he stands amazingly.

I've heard mixed things about Loongsoul faceups, so I'm really happy that his faceup looks pretty much exactly like the promo pictures. Tbh I'm not a big fan of the heavy blushing style, but I already knew what I was going to get when I ordered him, so I can't complain. And look at those eyebrows!!!

For some reason, his sword came in this package? But not the sword-holding hands. It's huge!!!

The biggest surprise in the box was this weird little plush thing??? It's got dragon wings and little fish fins and Umbreon's color scheme???? I have no idea what it could be....

(Let's just say it's reassuring him that no worries, he looks cool. :P)

Seriously, what ARE you? Oh well, it's super cute and the plush is very soft and huggable. It has a Loongsoul tag so it's definitely official merch of some kind. Maybe it's supposed to be a black dragon? A pet for our black dragon emperor? XD

Put his eyes in. They're acrylic, to my surprise, but still quite shiny and pretty. I'm not going to keep them but he can wear them for now, since I haven't even ordered his actual eyes yet (a consequence of him arriving much sooner than I expected!).

Put on some clothes while I wait for the fullset outfit. Tbh even though I got the fullset, I also want him to shell an OC of mine, so I prepared some casual clothes for him too. His name is Victor Hua, a former prodigy cellist who ends up becoming a dark knight. As one does.

Victor with Mirage, his commander in the demonic army. And love interest, maybe? I was not expecting them to be so close in height since Mirage is 68cm, but I guess those high heels he's wearing must be giving him one hell of a boost.

And Victor with another important character in his story, in this case his younger brother Theo (who still needs a faceup I know shut up). They don't exactly have the best relationship, so they're eyeing each other warily. Or maybe Theo's just hoping he'll grow that tall someday u_u

A bonus pic of Victor delivering some (extremely OOC) sass. I'm super impressed with the posability of the body, and how natural it looks.

I think my only complaint is the imported yellow resin is a little paler than I expected, but oh well, not a big deal. Anyway, I can't wait for the rest of his stuff to arrive! I'll add to this thread when it does.

Well, all his stuff has arrived, so I guess I better attempt the lace wig sooner than later. :P I have tried putting it on him, but I haven't cut the lace yet so it looks weird. I measured the sword and it's actually around 54cm, so yeah, a little more than half a meter!

Aaaaaa it took a little while but I finally got him ready! I decided not to take unboxing pictures of the accessories package because it wasn't that interesting, tbh. So instead, enjoy some pictures of Xuandi in his full glory. The outfit actually wasn't as hard to put on as I feared; the wig gave me the most trouble, mostly because I had to work up the courage to trim the lace and then stick it onto his head with tape and putty (thanks so much for your advice @marci12, it was lifesaving). And it's not even going to be his permanent hair sdkafdksjkdsjsd

And then a little fancier and less battle ready in his cloak and shoulder fur thing. They actually attach by snaps so stay on pretty securely.

Tbh, like this I don't quite see him as my character Victor Hua. Victor isn't the type to dress so ostentatiously, and I envision his armor looking somewhat different. Then again, I chose the fullset not because it perfectly portrays my OC but because it evokes the general idea, if that makes sense. For now let's just say Victor is cosplaying Xuandi? XD At least until his own wig/eyes arrive.

Thank you! Just to clear some things up, I resorted to the sticky tack/tape method for this wig because it's a lace-front and has sideburns that need to fit snugly on the head. For an ordinary wig, just a rubber band around the head and/or a silicon wig cap should be enough to keep it on!
