The very first doll I purchased back in March has arrived! She was exactly a six month wait, and she was entirely worth it because she's just as beautiful in person as she was on the promotional images! I was a little worried about whether or not the faceup would live up to those, but she really does. I had a bit of a mishap while trying to put on her head that caused one of the eyelashes to pop off though. (it seemed a bit weak from when I opened it up, but it just completely quit on me during that struggle. Ordered some glue to fix that problem, but I'm not looking forward to taking her head back off to do it....) So glad I ordered through Alice for this because she shipped out on like the 7th and got to me on the 11th! Storing this 3 foot box is going to be something. I bought the offered base wig along with her, and it's pretty nice even though it's unstyled. I'm not sure if I'm going to do much to it yet! She's on the 69cm girl body! I couldn't find proper pictures of what both bust sizes looked like on this body until after I purchased her, but I don't think I'm mad at the small bust. It still looks pretty and she might fit into more clothes like this since the larger bust was 25.5cm. I'm still trying to figure out all of her posing capabilities... The knees and elbows can lock into place when you bend them. I need to figure out the correct center of balance for her to stand up unassisted, though. Her feet have a good sense of mobility tilted up or down. She can cross her legs, too! She's pretty substantial weight wise! Not too heavy that I'm uncomfortable but I definitely don't think I'd forget I was carrying her. The safety foam makes her jawline look very snatched. I bought her this beautiful hanfu set off taobao (it came with a lovely fur shawl but it's not pictured here because in the struggle of figuring out how to secure the skirt and make everything lay properly I forgot it existed despite it only being like one foot away) and these melody.c heels I bought surprisingly fit her! I hope to do a proper photoshoot for this outfit once the stand I bought her arrives. And here she is fully assembled (albeit in a different outfit) with my mature mini, Sera. I think the size difference is funny and cute. Anyway, onto the glamour shots!
Adding another post because I wanted to add some shots where I tested out some of her body's range of motion. (Forgive me for keeping the wig on, I took these when I just woke up and I didn't feel like pulling the wig off just to put it back on in a few minutes.) She can do seiza position unassisted, although I'm not sure how shoes would affect this. The thigh joint can be turned and you can pull and turn it to lock it into place. The three-part torso is pretty nice for engaging her torso to shift the body and posture. The arms have some ridges for holding it in various spots in the arm socket. I didn't remember to take pictures of it but you can also shift the upper torso to give it more of a leaning/contrapposto type feel. Overall, I think I really like this body! It seems well engineered and it's well strung so nothing's kicking or popping out of place really.
She's breathtaking, wow! So solemn, so sad (I'm a total sucker for this) I love the photo together with the mini, she's like a very big bigger sister
Thank you!! Yes, I really love her gaze/expression. She's a very big sister indeed! I think they'd look so cute together if I got the mini a matching dress.
She's gorgeous! Also I like the picture with the small doll. Like someone mentioned before it's has the big and lil sister vibes going on.
