Payment Loongsoul Layaway

Jan 20, 2025

    1. Hiya, does anyone know if Loongsoul directly on their website does layaways? If so, does production start during the layaway period or after the customer finishes paying? I want to get the new Monster boy and I'm trying to figure out the smartest approach, whether through a dealer or not.
      Thanks in advance :)

    2. I've ordered two Loongsoul dolls on layaway, both through ACBJD. The only issue I had was the shipping email for the first doll getting accidentally flagged as spam, so one day I opened my door to leave for work, and surprise! Doll box! (That was one of the longest shifts of my life.)

Production on my orders seemed to start about when I made the order. In fact, my second doll was ready before I'd made my final layaway payment. I chose 6 month layaways both times, though, as a heads up-- Loongsoul is a slower company! But, ugh, my boys were more than worth the wait. Honestly, if I had the spare cash (and the space.....), I'd snap up the new monster fellow myself!

    3. I'll prolly go through her or legenddoll, I am gonna gamble by trying the french real resin but it's worth it imo.

    4. You might want to do your layaway via Alice's Collections, or another dealer.

I was going to order directly from Loongsoul before and found out from talking to people here on DoA that there can be a lot of problems when ordering directly from their company. This is one of the companies that it is better to use a dealer with.

Good news though my Loongsoul boy got here in a little less then three months when I did order through ACBJD last year.

    5. Roger that's fine with me :)

    6. I also ordered through Alice and did a 6 month layaway because all the research I'd done on DoA suggested Loongsoul had a fairly consistent 6 month wait time. This turned out to be accurate.
The advantage of going through a dealer is that the dealer can ask the doll company about the progress of your order in the company's native language, and while sometimes dealers can be a bit more expensive than ordering direct, having another person able to ask about your order than just you the customer is a massive advantage.
Plus dealers often have promotional discounts on dolls or free shipping which makes the doll less expensive in the end.
I've used Alice twice now and was very satisfied with their customer service both times. My Loongsoul boy arrived while I was overseas on holiday, so I didn't get to open his box until over a week after he'd been delivered, and he had the wrong colour head (White when I'd ordered Normal Yellow).
I sent pictures to Alice explaining the situation and they had me ship the head to them and covered my postage costs. Within a month I had the correct colour head. I hate to think what would have happened in that scenario if I hadn't gone through a dealer!
Also in terms of resin stability, my "imported" resin Normal Yellow doll hasn't changed colour in any noticeable way in the past year. I store him in the dark but he has also come outside with me for trips and photos, so resin is a lot more stable colour-wise than in the 2000s!

    7. I love Alice too I will most likely go with her as she's very reliable in my experience :)

    8. Also if something isn't on Alice's site but the dollmaker or other dealers offer it, you can email Alice and ask if she can get it for you.
I ordered my Dollzone Jellyfish this way, with the transparent hands that were shown on the promo pics, and have a Ringdoll body on order in their new colour (close to Soom Normal) which wasn't available in the drop-down options
