Yeah weather is crazy, we had a freak hail storm yesterday. Golf ball sized hail, it was kinda scary. I'm glad I decided against taking pictures then.

 

that sounds... cool (I'm weird I like quote on quote 'bad' whether lol) Here its just 1 minuteits sunny and lovly (yes in the uk lol) then ... rain... thunder... hail... strong winds... then ... an hour later.... sun lol Personally I hate the sun... but I guess is good for photographing little resin people ^^

 

I want to visit the uk so bad, even if the weather there is as crazy as it can be here in Montana.

 

I admit I was extremely lucky with Enyu, he belonged to a fellow (local) club member who loved him but just didn't handle 'little' ones well (she has a giant fro LS ^^... Haou Tien i think is his name) and she gave me first dibs since she knew how much I adored (coveted?) him. Give it a few months and then haunt the MP... it will give ppl time to get their orders and 'see if they want to keep them'. One day if IH doesn't' break my bank I might get the lioness Elsa ^^

I don't know why but he keeps ending up there... even my Dexter (new Iple guy) doesn't have a 'comfy' lap like M does O_o lol... I guess M's lap was just made for Enyu lol.

awww give the lil guy a boost! even if the weather isn't perfect any kitty likes to sit in a window.

... indoor pics are good too you know... we are greedy ... not picky ;p

 

Well Geki demanded we take pictures, sadly I still need help learning to use my camera so this it the only one that I liked out of the few I decided to take. I need to figure out how to get the chip in his cute little face fixed.

 

^^ I'm still learning too... you can tell if you go through my flickr >< got more than a few oopsies lol.... is the gap in his one stripe the chip? I don't see well enough to tell if that's a 'chip'. I think i'd be tempted to just seal the crap out of it and paint the gap. (and reseal). or ask MoC for advice? ^^ He is such a 'star' lol ... makes me want to dig out the full-set

Why oh why would you want to visit here?! lol Rest of Europe is much nicer in my opinion lol And Geki is so cute! If it makes you feel any better I think the little chip gives him character Plus I'm sure a faceup artist could fix it for you if it bothers you that much

 

You want to know why the UK is so awesome? If you compare US/Canada to there.... well you have so many amazing places (historical type sites) The long history makes for a lot of places to 'have been' and turn into great photo sites ... we have about 250 years to have 'interesting' views that are not 'wilderness' related.... and if the area is like mine... parries. A whole lot of not too much as a back drop for pictures... oh and snow up to your eyeballs half the year >< Everything within our cities is historically speaking relatively new... So ANYWHERE not here would be awesome lol. I just wish I could travel -_-.

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but I was wondering if the centaur body would fit other dolls, specifically a littlefee.

 

Okay I signed up for a photo chalenge ^^. I'm on day 2 of "A Doll A Day" theme pics. each day a word/theme to portray. I tried to do a tiny video of today's chalenge but I can't upload it ><. so I twiddled a still and was kinda pleased with it. This it day 2 of ADAD - "Language"

I would guess not... the torso's of most 'taur' types tend to need 'spare' parts to convert to human form even with the same company.

My own example is you can't switch the giant Souldoll centaur to human just buy taking the body and adding human legs... you transfer the upper portion of the body (chest and arms) onto a completely separate lower human set of parts. the hip/pelvis is sometimes slightly different shape to sit well... it depends on each individual doll... you need to find someone with 'both' types you want to hybrid. Then see if they would be kind enough to dismantle 2 dolls and try it out for you.

 

I know I know! spamming ;p but the ADAD shoot for "taste" got me some cute ones! And now that Flickr is letting me edit them I was able to 'brighten them and oooh Enyu actually looks WHITE in them like he is supposed to! This wasn't the one used for the challenge but I liked it cuz it showed off the statue best too.

I'm sure Bijoux is keeping him in check lol And yes he is small.... but so are alllll the others lol 4 even smaller I'm dreading the time when I hav to move.... So... many... doll boxes! Plus over 3 boxes of toys for them ... and another 2 of clothes! Oh my gosh!!!

 

lmao nice to see a fellow junk hoarder... but all in the name of dolly happiness! We would never deprive 'them'... us however we will starve and deprive for their sake always lol.

Bright is so cute!! I just paid off my little Billy and MoC said he has shipped to them! So it shouldn't be too much longer before my herd is all home!!

On the topic of dolls having more than us I would agree, I need to find a bigger place to store my lovlies, there current shelf is packed.

And I also agree about the amount of doll stuff! I have outfits and shoes and wigs that may never get worn for more than a week until I find the right clothes for a doll, not to mention their numbers are growing too! When Otakon rolls around I hope I won't have to leave anybody home omo;;

 

Kotone I love how good you are a posing him! Even real animals look awkward laying down lol (have you ever watched horses O_o ><) and ya clothes... they will always have more & better stuff than us lol... and just for giggles this was my entry for the days theme of "box" for ADAD. XD I hadn't noticed at the start but Enyu even looks like he is tapping his foot in annoyance LOL....

omg Enyu is such a character! Again on the clothing, I just spent more on a yosd dress than I would ever think of spending on a dress for myself haha! Hey, at least the little ones are well-dressed, and they don't even get their clothes dirty like we do.

And Lady Tiku, Bright mostly does all his own stunts, I just have to help him out a bit, hehe. These dolls are pretty full of personality!

 

Typing not fun right now ><.. yes definitely characters .... some more than others (Enyu is just totally a peach lol) Some are a bit more sneaky and will get back at you for ... indignities?.... my EID Dexter (70 cm Iplehouse) bit me today lol... palm and middle fingertip... right where it should rest on a keyboard lol. And I swear if ppl knew what I spent on my dolls this first year >< ... they would have me committed lol.

But between being new, having nearly all 65 cm and larger dolls, and half in need of restringing... ya posing for me is.... lets just say, interesting. I am lucky I have got this far before being bit ;p. But Enyu is a little excited, soon he will get to give Dexter his official 'welcoming gift lol. It should be interesting ^^. I just need a day with some 'good' light.... an no rain ><. That and I have to remember where I put Dex's casual tops ><.

I think next year I may have to cave in and splurge on a custom Freedom Teller suit for the little one ><. But that will take some very careful measuring first. I wish Loong Soul would make a small line of 'basic' items for these kids.

 

Bright finally got his wig! It's a lot thicker than I anticipated, so I can't braid it, but the waves look nice as they are ovo//

 

I love the color! now THAT is why he is called 'Bright' eh? ;P And you could try 'thinning the wig, taking an interior layer or two out? and then like someone else did... have the thinned wig be the braided look and a second untrimmed one be the loose look.

 

I would trim the wig, it's what I did with Levi's Monique wig, but I'm actually not bothered by the way it looks, and it's such nice fiber, I would hate to hack it up. He's actually named after a suit in the traditional Japanese card game hanafuda, but his wig certainly does live up to it, haha!

 

My centaur Addie arrived from MOC today and I can tell I'm going to really love her. I can't get her front and back halves strung together for the life of me. I can see what I need to do (I think), but I have been struggling with her for almost an hour. *facepalm*

 

lol I know the feeling (but with other dolls/parts) put the doll down for a while go have a cool drink and do something else for an hour... then try again... and don't feel bad.... it took me 3 days of rounds of trying "just" to get a dolls elbow to lock into position properly lol. The key is in not 'forcing yourself' ... walk away and relax for a bit... then try again ^^...

Later tonight my Enyu is going to 'adopt' a couple of 'father' figures

Thanks. I believe you are right. I just sliced my thumb way open on an s-hook, so I think it's probably time to walk away and make dinner. Ouch.

Did you leave the ring in and hook an s-hook to it? Or did you have to remove it? I was trying to take it out and that's how I just opened up my thumb. Ugh.

 

It was a little confusing for me, too! I removed the ring and threaded some strong ribbon through the loop, and pulled (well, I had my dad pull while I held the body, haha) through the hole in his cute little bum and attached an s hook with one of the tail parts and then then that's it! I recommend having someone help you like I did because they're strung REALLY tightly and even just replacing a tail by myself the other night I created the tiniest chip in the hole; not noticeable, but it probably wouldn't have happened had someone helped me. Good luck!

 

That's what I ended up doing lol. I took her with me to my parents' house and borrowed my dad's foreceps to get a better grip on the hook. Mom held her torso while I threaded a string through the tail hole and then pulled. I ended up calling my husband over to pull the string too actually and then I put in her tail. Good grief! Took 3 people to assemble her lol. But now that she's in one piece, I am in love! So much fun. I don't have anything for her head or body because I wasn't expecting her this early, but I got some cute pics in my dad's garden with my phone.

 

oh my word lol that one flower is almost big enough to wear! so cute... but my fave is the 'sitting' holding the 'tiny' flower

oh and since it's fathers day Enyu has 'adopted' a couple of em since he isn't with his real dad.

Also, I recently adopted another tiny into my home, and this wig was one of the extras included~ I think Bright will keep it because it looks truer to his character than the long one, and it's sooooooo soft

 

Bright is so cute! I finally got my Billy home (I need to come up with a name for him!) I'm going to post a box opening here soon! It took me a moment to figure out how to string him, but I like how they did it. My little herd is all finally home! I'm so excited!

O_o You're right... It does suit him better.. make him more a "him" than a her (long hair feminized him more than I thought).

I don't regret not spending the money (I need it for other doll 'sets' ><) But I guess Billy 'would' have been the right choice O_o for a companion to Enyu ... for this I regret not getting him... (Enyu needs a 'little friend) I couldn't 'fix' on a head mold so I passed >< And Im with you I like the horse tail best ^^.

Does anyone have a Loong Soul AND an Iple BID?... would the heads of the LS work on the IH dolls I wonder?
And other than MoC... where else do you guys order from? to get LS? (Enyu needs a human body).

My Deer Bessie just arrived today. Since I heard it could be a 18-40 week wait I was expecting more near October, I've waited a long time before. But my Lily came today I am so happy. But I can't get her together. Read through the advise here hoping with 2 people maybe I can get her put together tomorrow. FYI first post back after being on hiatus since 2011 for DoA.

 

Yay! more piccie spam soon! And welcome back! I am also a returnee. Only I was away muuuuuuch longer lol. I've been back a little over a year now, but was away since a few months after my join date.... I've gone a little "post"al lol. I had less than 40 posts when I came back a year ago and no doll! Now I have 6, 2 heads and a body O_o. One on order, getting ready to order another one and worried about 'the rest' of the dolls in another companies 'series' >< nicknamed "Carved Wallet" for what it's done to our wallets. So jump in the deep end! it's fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun! *glubglub*... (drowning in resin).

 

Another tip, because I had this same problem. I ended up daisy-chaining two S-hooks together, put them on the ring in her front, then pulled that whole chain through to put the tail on. That's the only way I could get enough hook exposed to get a tail on, because the resin at the butt on mine is as thick as one of the s-hooks is long. Her elastic was tight enough that even with the length of an extra hook, she is still plenty stable through that joint.

This was after I, too, cut my thumb open on hardware and cursed the stringing schema loudly.

 

I just hooked a piece of string to the s-hook and pulled, of course he was way easy to put together compared to my other centaurs. The o-ring that had attached to the s-hook confused me for a while. My billy is strung so different from all the other centaurs I have, but I like how he is strung even if it is rather tight.

 

ok I also just gashed my finger with the S hook, enough bleeding for today but this made me laugh that I'm not alone. I'll try your advise tomorrow about the second S hook. I think that will help.

I finally got my doll together all thanks to Jinnayah! Though my DLSR and Point and Shoot camera were dead. I had to take a picture with my Ipad. I then uploaded it to Flickr and I'm now making this post on my Win 8.1 laptop and cannot for the life of me get it to post a picture. Oh well, finally figured it out... sometimes the touch screen is more problems than it's worth.



You can't see it well but Lily's eyes are green glass. The wig is just temp, I am getting a blue or pink one for her. I am also making a leather outfit for her. So I will post more pics once I get the outfit and DSLR working.

 

The wig style is cute though... I love the tight coiled ringlets! Ugh I wish I had had the spare to get one... but I dithered too long ><. And I say get both wigs

And at least after you bleed for once with these little ones... you don't have to be quite as worried about being 'bit'... omg my big guy nearly took a chunk outta my hand again lol. I was faster this time and didn't get bit ;p. I have to say I adore my little Enyu for not doing that! Is it just me or are the little ones less dangerous when posing? O_o

So sorry you guys got gashed open. But I'm glad I'm not the only one. I ended up having to have m thumb glued shut and got reprimanded by the doctor for not coming in sooner for stitches. Whoops! The things we do for our dolls lol. I had tried the second S-hook once I realized that the O-ring had to be removed, but that's when it started getting sketchy for me. I ended up using an assistant (my mom, when I went to visit and show off my new toy lol) to hold the torso and back legs together while I pulled the hook with a string. I probably could have done it alone, but my husband was there too so I recruited him to pull the string while I attached the tail.

 

So... Nero misses this thread so ....

I took him to a dollmeet recently, his first 1 ^^ I think he enjoyed it lol But I just think he likes people saying how 'cute' he is... a cute hunter is better as he wont be suspected he tells me lol

I should try a photo challenge at some point. I have been so busy that I don't think it'll be anytime terribly soon, but maybe after the next one or two kiddos are home.

What eyes are they (where did you get them?).... I'll likely keep my boys eye just for the creepy 'follow' factor though lol... Yes, they really do follow you XD

As for Enyu... we are looking for another outfit that will be more 'pirate' fitting... I have something workable but want a bit more choice... he will want to fit in with my IH theme dolls (Carved Heritage series) ;P I need to check the Disney hero's again and see if anyone has something usable... jeeze buying dolls just to get the outfits lol.

 

Hello centaur babe owners!
I was wondering, do any of you have measurements for the lil centaurs? Would really appreciate it. A relative of mine just purchased one a month ago & needs measurements so that she can prepare for him before he arrives. Mostly for the horsey part?

 

if she has an idea of the horse body outfit items she wants to make maybe a list or grab a pic of a body and draw lines showing which measures she wants would help. This way 'taur' owners could measure the correct places... I have a giant (SoulDoll) centaur and have considered the logistics of this before lol.

And the torso part you can get measurements by looking at the basic human dolls body measures on the main LS site.

 

I can do some measurements if you know which bits she is looking for.

 

Ah, yes! Thank you! Possibly it will help others with their 4 legged mythical babes outfits as well. I believe its mostly for a saddle design. So any/ all measurements from the human waist to the horse tail would be appreciated. There isn't much on centaur part measurements on the loongsoul page or mint on card page. ^^;

-Center horse torso/ stomach circumference (smallest horse torso measurement)
-Human waist joint to tail stub/ hole distance
-Inner front legs to inner back legs distance (with 4 legs straight down as can be)
-Upper front leg circumference
-Upper back leg circumference
-Tail stub/ hole circumference
-Horse behind circumference (widest size)
-Human waist (widest part)

Hope its alright to inquire. I'm sure it would be useful to other tiny centaur doll owners as well.
