Shopping Looking for Independent Doll Artists

What do you mean by independent? Someone who does all the work themselves and has very little support staff? Even the long established companies only have one or a handful of in house artisans or hire sculptors to create for them - Mori9, for example, who does very small releases but also sculpts for Universe and DollFamily-H on occasion.

 

I follow a lot of artist doll creators on Instagram! Rap1993 is one of the first I followed!

If you like more fantasy:

@skyland_dolls has two elf sculpts (I actually have a pigi sculpt ordered on their current Preorder!)

@summerbirdbjd has a plus sized bjd with an optional elf head, I believe

@coralreefdoll has some really stylized fantasy dolls, not quite my deal but I like looking at them!

And @BoneLace has some amazingly buff orc ladies! Very different, but refreshingly so! (though I don't believe these are in production yet, or if they will be any time soon
)

As far as human bjds, one of my favorite artists is @youpladolls they have a wide range of features in their sculpts and are stunning!

Also @dustofdolls and @glowmoondoll have fun stylized looks!

 

If you want something weird, go see Circus Kane Dolls ! I have two from her (a Iracebeth and a Maheya) and they are very unique.
I have also two from Fairytales Treasures Dolls (a Ceyran and a Lily Moon) but they are all sold out and no new creations from them since many years now.
Fantasy molds from Mystic Dolls are really beautiful too. I have a Lyseria and a Désirya. You can ask her every options you want for your doll, she makes all by herself. ^^

 

JJ Doll Lab has been putting out some very unique fantasy-style dolls out, including a female orc and a shark girl (BJDivas is a dealer for them). Coral Reef doll is another one I've seen around with some pretty unique fantasy designs.

If you like more funky dolls, Miracle Doll does a lot of cool stuff.

 

What about Leekeworld A-types? (though you'd have to hunt in the secondhand market)
And is Pipos too far off..? LUTS have some similar anthro dolls too.

 

For more cutesy, exagerated dolls, the ones that spring to mind are dodollsdream, studio.bitamin, and lillycat. For more unique, dream-valley esque sculpts, the only one I can think of is rumpledoll--and maybe logandolls for a more cute and simple fantasy sculpt. Oh--and maybe digidolls too.
