Hello! It's been several years, but I am a returning member of DOA/BJD and doll collecting in general! I made an account here to admire other's dolls when I was a young teen who wanted a BJD super bad after seeing Volks Ami Ayase featured in a doll magazine back in the day I was super shy and didn't want to ask dumb questions so I tended to lurk in order to keep up with new releases and news. But as I grew up and worked, I was able to purchase my first resin doll, a Fairyland Feeple60 Cygne. She and my other dolls have sat neglected on my shelf as I worked my way through college and life, but I hope to get back into the hobby slowly and surely! I also collect non resin dolls such as Pullips, Dollfie Dreams, and Licca chans! I'm glad to see this site still active and online, thanks for having me! I have been in several BJD FB groups over the years for sales/news/ETC, but I figured coming back here would also be a good idea. Pardon me as I figure things out, I haven't participated in forum style discussion since the Live Journal days haha
Welcome back! I recently returned myself. It's nice to look through everything again and see what people are up to creatively!
Agreed! It's inspiring to see how many people are sharing their creativity! Welcome back to you too!!
Welcome back, Mei! I recently just got back into the hobby myself, also pre- or during-LJ days Maybe the beginning of Tumblr…. I was also a frequent lurker as a preteen on here and was conscientious. Beauty of growing up is being less afraid to speak up and ask those questions burning in you (and learning there is no such a thing as dumb questions!). Hope to see you posting more of your dollies here~
As I became an adult, I definitely became less shy in general and about my hobbies! I bet younger us would be proud of us today! ^^ Nice to meet you!
Welcome back! I think it's an advantage of the modern era that interest groups like this one can stick around and grow.
Welcome back and enjoy your hobby! I started this early summer and feel like a girl in a candy shop, haha!
Dude! I totally get you when I first joined it was several year after I found bjd proper (but was shy about lurking). Then even longer before I got my own doll. I was also shy about dolls and doll collect when I was young. Indeed life is a big hassle when wanting to enjoy an expansive hobby. Welcome back
Welcome back !!! I recently came back too and it's fan!!! Nice to having you here and enjoy the company!!!
Welcome back to the craziness! I'm mostly a lurker myself, but at least this is a great place to lurk!
Welcome back Mei! I have been lurking for years too and back in the day I used to be so shy as well. I grew up playing with Takara Jenny dolls and Licca-chan because my mother felt they were more "child appropriate" than Western Barbies. Lots of people like Minifee because it can share clothes with some of the Volks dolls. It is always nice when dolls can share clothes.
