Hello! I've recently returned to the hobby after a looooong break (many years). And a newfound love for the fashion size, and focus on crafting... I've just finished making diorama walls (foamboard) and a fireplace (foamboard, wood, mini bricks), completing a room set-up for my newest mini arrival - SartoriaJ Lobelia (modelling my first klutzy attempts at making a wig, and sewing her outfit). So some quick evening shots as she settles in - thanks for looking! And a photo of the room itself!
Thanks very much all, it's really appreciated! @Loganberry, thank you - and the two lovely FID girls I rehomed from you will be joining her soon(ish, once I finish sewing!) And likewise huge thanks @dharmaniac @Girlfriend7 and @dbfalcao - I've been trying to craft some scenery, clothes, and get set up with photography again after a long break, so really appreciate the kind words!!
No kindness! You deserve! Very well done! I was curious to ask, is the fireplace a salesman Victorian one?
Very well identified - it is indeed, from ebay! It's a bit small and low to the ground for this scale in isolation - so I made a surround from card, foamboard and mini bricks(subsequently aged). A slightly clearer photo (though still v dark, need to get some daytime pics!)...
Wonderful! The photos are lovely and the diorama is breathtaking. Thank you for sharing! (And welcome back in the hobby ^^)
That room is fantastically detailed and the lighting is superb!! Very atmospheric and your doll looks right at home
This looks so cozy and warm. Lovely doll and your diorama is just perfect! I hope I can also look forward to the tutorial!
