'Lo everyone. New to dollmaking.

I just reached the final deadline for all my projects at school and now have hours and hours of time at my disposal. I've been entertaining the idea of making a ball joint doll for quite some time now, and am about to embark on my adventure in the craft. Chances are slim that it will get off the ground and stay airborne for long, but I'm going to give it a shot.
I love and admire Buckethead, so I'm going to attempt a bjd of him. If the pieces turn out and he's actually decent, I may try to make molds of the pieces so I can have a doll for myself - I intend to give the doll to Buckethead as a present at his next concert.

That's why I've joined the forum. :]
Anyone else got any special reasons for venturing into bjd making? Or do we all just want our own love child? xD
