Nope, it was a mistake I made when I first posted because I didn't read the legends thoroughly OTL
I thought the F stood for gender but that should've been obvious from the sculpt itself ;-; I'm planning on doing her faceup myself when she arrives, though.

 

Ah I see! Probably I need to change the legends a bit to make it clearer... I guess 'FC' for 'Faceup' will be less ambiguous

So seems like the blank dolls have been shipped... I hope I'll get my shipping notice this coming week! Unless my order took even longer because of the layaway

 

I finally broke down and asked when my Elena would ship. Its been over 2 months, not that long, but incredibly long for LM.
I don't really mind the wait if it means LM is becoming more popular, they deserve it

 

Cydril! If you ordered during the winter event, it'll probably take longer than usual since they get a lot more orders in with that 15% discount. Plus you ordered her with a faceup and I think they only started shipping the dolls with faceup this week... but I hope your doll arrives soon ;u;

As for me, I'm actually a little confused on the progress of my package. She's supposed to be on her way to the USA but she's been stuck in Guam for almost 2 days now? Has this happened to you guys before?

 

Thaaats kind of weird. I don't think I've ever had a doll package go to Guam before coming to the States before. I'd hit Little Monica up and see if they can figure it out.

LM told me Elena would ship either this week or next week, as soon as they 'get her back' from their faceup artist. So I guess the dolls get faceupped in a different place than they are cast? Thats kind of interesting.

 

I don't know if it's ok to just post this image here so I'll take it down and write it out in text if necessary. Here's the tracking info so far:

As far as I know LM commissions various different artists to do faceups for their dolls, so it's not a "one artist for all" factory-faceup thing.

Even one sculpt can have faceups from two different artists; for example Yuria's faceup A and faceup B are done by different artists. LM used to list who is the faceup artist(s) for each sculpt, but I can't seem to find it now

I guess that's why it's taking quite a while for dolls with faceup to be shipped... But that's fine for me since LM has all these talented artists to do gorgeous faceups on their dolls

peppercrushes hmm maybe somehow EMS decided to transit the package in Guam for a while? But I won't worry too much, probably your doll is now currently on a long flight to USA and the tracking just hasn't updated itself yet

 

I'd say if the tracking phase t updated by tomorrow to email them cause they may have mispackaged it and now it doesn't know where to go. Cause California is definitely not Guam.

 

Ok, LM just responded to me and said that it looks like customs in America is getting delayed? My package might be in LA already, but tracking just hasn't updated because the EMS office in the US is being a little slow. That's a relief!
