i got face up B with a little customisation (more blush/thinner eyebrows)! i really do love smoky face ups so type B was pretty much perfect!

I love LittleMonica faceups, I was really torn on whether or not to get one for sophia. Hopefully she will turn out ok with my skills^^;;

Yay Dyuke! I was wondering when someone was gonna snatch him up, he was for sale for longer than most of the artist heads.
I know there have been a bunch of orders for Irin also but no one ever posts in here ^^;;

 

Aw, some WRs are like that, sooo quiet...but I've been unable to get this particular artist's sculpt out of my head. I will get him pale eyes and a super-blond wig, I think, though I love the wig style he's wearing all the same. And a body, once I'm out from under a couple of last layaways!

Hello, quiet little waiting room! I've got a head in need of a body, and the little harmony is a gorgeous one, so here I am!

 

Wow! I wasn't expecting my order to ship for another week! Exciting!! So can anyone confirm that the resin colors used for the Harmony and Little Harmony lines are different? I thought I read somewhere they wern't the same. For example. NS Little Harmony doesn't match NS of Harmony?

Hmm, well, in a way, it somehow is, XD I contributed a bit for her to be able to buy the head XD And I've been doing all the work like ordering, checking up the status of the order, researching on matching bodies, looking for shops that sells wig and other stuff XD

 

Lol. I did the same too. Except it's with my bestie. Helped her with searching infos in wigs, body colour match etc. Awesome sis is awesome. xD

 

Well I bought my first BJD head from Little Monica because I just adore their face moulds. I was planning on putting her on a male body (Has anyone else done this? And do the Harmony (littlemonica) male bodies fit alright with the female heads?) but I'm not 100% decided on that yet. Anyway, I'm super excited!

 

@neko-alice I tried telling her to "contribute" a bit 'cause I kinda felt like I was the only one doing the research. She said I can handle it LOL She's kinda evil. Maybe all little sister are kinda evil.

Wow, cool! Your bestie? I really want my best friend to be in the hobby but she said she'll be too cautious of doing anything to the doll and might end up just staring at it. But she said she's looking forward to mine. T.T I don't really have real-life friends that are involved in the hobby. It's just me and my sister. >.< And I have a hard time talking to new people so I'm quite reluctant to attend local meets while I don't have my BJD yet. hahaha XD

@lieutenantjess I think it doesn't fit 'cause the neck sizes are different. You can try to research on matching bodies that have similar neck sizes though.

 

@lieutenantjess, I've never tried it. But it might work if you sand it a little? Or find a body with similar neck size?


@chocolatesforme My favourite phrase when my best friend asked would be DoA has everything. But I always ended up searching for her anyways. xD I kinda like force her into searching on her own, cause I know I can't always be there for her. It'd be bad if it's something emergency and I'm occupied. But, I'm quite happy she's also into it. Altho I felt kinda bad for her cause her family doesn't like BJD. My family is okay, but well, I've gotten used to them calling me freak or weird already. xD

I have a couple of friends who are into dollies actually. But most of em only wants BJD cuz they think it's kinda like status symbol in doll community. It's kinda like I want what you want. =\ I've only met local BJD owners on events or conventions. I can't bring myself to attend local meetups or gathering. ><

 

@neko-alice As for my sister, she never really tried and sometimes it gets annoying especially when she tells me to go email the dealer and other stuff... I'm kinda considering not telling her when I go buy doll clothes anymore 'cause I was the only one who did everything. Like researching on resin matches, how to buy on taobao, dos' and don't when doing a faceup, buying faceup materials. and yeah, I feel stressed and exhausted T.T

My mom's pretty much okay with it, my dad is just surprised that dolls are really pricey.

Ah, they had a local meet yesterday, I kinda wanted to go. I'm not really sure if I can attend a meet 'cause I'm really really bad when talking to new people, I don't even know what I should talk about when I'm with them. I also tend to over-think things LOL

I'm just glad I don't have those kind of friends. I don't know what I'd do to them if they told me that.

 

@chocolatesforme Wow, you got the tough job. I think maybe it's because she knew you will be there for her, that's why she always made you do everything? It's always the easiest to make people do the work for you or asking people on what you want to know rather than searching for it? I'd usually tell people what I know when they asked but I always kept half of it to myself LoL. What's in a hobby if there are people to do things for you, right?

Aww, you should try and go to the local meetups. I got invited a couple of times, but usually it clashes with other plans. The BJD owners are nice people. They don't mind if you're still saving or don't have a doll yet. But I always bring my best friend along just in case I don't know what to do or start to get lost in space.

Ooh, I'm planning on going to the Valentine meet that is, if I'm not too busy with school. I'd be doing a lot of stuff on February
'cause summer vaca-y is right after the 1st week of March, and I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to go T.T I really want to see all those BJDs I adored over the internet that and Hunter and Aiden are visiting too. The problem is my sister wants me to do all the talking when we get to go to a meet so I am very afraid to go with her but I'm more afraid of going alone. I'm not really overly friendly at the beginning, kinda shy on first meetings so I'm kinda scared of going LOL.

Valentine meet? Cool! I love valentine's day. I don't know if there will be any meetup for the Valentine here, but I'd definitely try to go. Yeah, school is the reason and problem with every cancelled meetup. Hunter? Aiden? Other owners' BJD? Is your sister bad with people? Meeting new people is the hardest. I know how awkward it can be. I share your pain.

Ahahaha. 1 month of waiting is torture, but it's considered quick though. I just finish my final and currently on break, the waiting is a serious torture. I can't help but stalk my front door all the time!

I just ordered a chunk of mohair for my girl so I can make her wig since I couldn't find one already made in the colour I wanted T___T and I've got a slot lined up with a wonderful face up artist for once she comes in I'm still looking for cute shoes and outfit for her though. I feel like I'm a lot more picky than I thought I would be with girl cothes hahaha

Congrats lieutenantjess! So it was close to two months for you? I'm hoping that my doll would arrive around Easter, since I have a holiday then and could do all the work on it then, but maybe I'm being a bit too optimistic It's just that my previous dolls from LM (through a dealer) have arrived in little over a month each, so I was hoping for a similar turnaround this time as well.

Aaw, thank you! Flickr is full of lovely Enrills though. I went through a bunch before I ordered mine. Since I knew mine would have caramel hair, I wanted to see a photo of a light haired Enrill to make sure he'd work out.

 

Yeah. I've kind of been stalking Flickr. My boy's going to have darkish brown hair and luckily enough when I asked Little Monica if I could request green eyes they said yes! I bought him glass eyes anyway but you can never have enough eyes.

they apparently tried to deliver her yesterday but no one rang my bell >| and there was no package slip so I had to go to the post office this morning to pick her up, but she's home at least! now to mail her head out to get painted...

My doll arrived yesterday I started out his face-up and body mods already and I hope it'll be finished today. Well, at least the face-up should be finished, I don't know if Ill be able to get proper tools for the mods yet. Anyway, I'll be posting a picture once I have something to show!
