Props Little camera~ critiques?

Aug 20, 2014

    1. Hey guys, I made this tiny camera today for my little guys and, since it's the first thing I've ever made, I'm super pleased with it!

Can anyone give me some critiques?
I used polymer clay and acrylic paints

I'm gonna make another for my other girl, so any critiques would be welcome!

    2. That's really good for a first try! I would suggest maybe putting some glaze on the lens and the back screen to make them shiny. Other than that, it's super cute! :D

    3. That looks really sweet! Perhaps instead of glazing the lens, you could try glueing clear plastic onto the lens (but have a look at it before glueing!).

    4. Mitsuko_elric : That's a good idea! I'll pick up glaze at the store tonight!

Ipledreamer : like, a disc or maybe bubbled? Hmmmm~ that could be fun!

    5. I hope it goes well! I used some glaze to fix a painting project years ago. It was the perfect thing!

    6. It's a nice job! The things I'd suggest is to work with more specific geometric shapes, of course when you can. For example, the main body is a more complex shape, but things like the lens, the screen and other little details that have shapes like rectangles and cilinders can be improved using cutters!
I hope that the glazing project goes well, post updates! Curious to see the outcome! ^^

    7. Adorable! Maybe you could add ribbon for a strap? To anchor the ribbon to the camera you could stick a (what's the word... the little silver eye pin things) in the clay before you bake it. :dance

    8. Still haven't found glaze~ my crafts store is terrible >.<

I will definitely start a hunt for cutters and those eyelet things now too!

    9. You can usually find them in the 'findings' isle or just the general jewelry isle.. they're pretty cheap which is great and you get a ton of them :)
