I've been planning a shoot with Cecilia as Fantine from Les Misérables almost ever since I got her, and this thread has prompted me to get off my butt and start it:




I'm so proud of how expressive she is in these two ^_^


Full shot of the dress. I made it from an old skirt and it is completely hand-sewn >.<;;

Back of the wig. I made it as well, and it is known either as her Fantine wig or her "OMG I'm a lesbian" wig :P

My Guinevere as Queen Guinevere from the Arthus Saga:

 

Oh boy, do Alice-in-Wonderland theme costumes really count? Yay! I thought they might not, for some reason, maybe because they're so common, who knows. But you're right, that's literature.

In fact, for last year's Alice Mad Tea Party meetup... the excuse of "But it's for LITERATURE!" was the only way I got Adrian to dress up as the White Rabbit.





So to speak. Umm. I mean, Zag didn't say that they had to be FAITHFUL literary-character costumes. It's a white rabbit with a pocketwatch, all right, but he seems to have misplaced his waistcoat. Thus, nowhere to store his watch. Thus, Mr. Rabbit is in chains, forever enslaved to Time and the Queen. Is postmodern. OK, is also done for the sake of a nice dirty giggle. But mostly, I did it because God told me to.

(There is also a little boy Alice in the background of the second picture, and a ton of other Alice characters in the old meetup thread.)

I saw your post and was reminded of when i dressed Snowdrop up as Robin Goodfellow/ Puck a looooong time ago.

 

Rhiannon as Apollymi, Atlantean Destroyer Goddess, from the Dark-Hunter series. Sherrilyn Kenyon (author of the series) saw her and loved her to pieces. Got plans for an Acheron doll as well.
