LIMHWA To You Sara discussion part 3

i found some Tiny Kitty Collier (Tonner) shoes fit my Sarah. heels with stretchy straps. She needs a stand afterwards, but the shoes look really cute. sorry, no photos.

 

Every last one of you has the most beautiful dolls and these discussion threads are a wealth of information! I wanted to contribute to this thread so here is my Mari, named Zlatina!



I've been trying to make outfits for her since her arrival on May 17th, 2014. Some have been bad but some have worked! I'm also going to try and make shoes and small diorama so we will see how that goes..

Does anybody have any pictures of of their doll wearing a monique gold wig? I'm thinking about getting one, but I'd like to see what they look like on the doll first.

 

I've tried them before, they tend to be too loose and fall off. I think they are not all exactly the same size though...

Can someone tell me - do Blythe clothes fit well? I've found a cute outfit with fitted waist and bust, and wide skirt, and was hoping it will fit Sara. What do you think?

 

Yes! We have a few made-for-Blythe clothes and they fit better than anything else made fora popular doll. Momoko clothes often fit but are a little baggy in the chest.

Malka My girl had a Monique gold wig (I think evelyn). It's not styled at all well in this photo but it fit her really well. I no longer have her so I can't take new photos sorry

Hi all, recently I purchased a 4cm Eve Studio Sphinx in grey-brown and wanted to show you all how it compares in size to a Sara or Mari! The 4cm is the measurement from toes to withers and the cat feels a little 'long' in the body compared to my Mari but the head feels pretty well sized. Over all I think the 4cm cat looks really good with a Sara or Mari, and photographs even better! If any of you would like more comparison shots or etc. just give me a heads up and I'll photograph more

My 5 cm cat Eve Studio Sphinx too large for Limhwa ...

 

Oh no! It's such a lovely color though... Maybe it fits with other dolls you have? or if you want a smaller one there might be a trade or marketplace...

This wig gave me a girlfriend, she makes herself out of the fur. But I've also Wigs limhwa of artificial fibers from obitsu, parabox, volks.

Hello all! I'm just ordering a wig for my new girl and I wondered - has anyone tried a size 3 Monique wig on a Limhwa, or is it too small? Some people seem to say the size 4 can be too big on her - anyone have any input on which is best to go for?

I ordered a Sara last night from Junky Spot! I saw the pics Ms. Caroline posted of her doll and I just had to have her! I really can't wait to get her Do you guys know a place to find shoes for her? I heard they are difficult to find

 

@thecollegefreshman Congrats on your purchase. Make sure to post a picture once you get her (if you want to). I have a Sara as well. You should post in the 1/6 Mini discussion as well! Since 1/6 dolls aren't so common, it's a great thread to find friends for your Sara.

My Sara is also coming home in 2 weeks! I'm so excited to have her on my upcoming journeys as I also have ordered some clothes and wigs for her before that. It's true that finding shoes for her is kind of a pain, though.

She's my first new (to me) bjd in years. I've always wanted a To You, and when I saw her for sale, I had to have her. She's not quite the way I want her yet, and I need to touch up her face up, but I'm quite excited to work on her!

I wish I were that talented! It's actually a Barbie dress from the Couture Angel Doll. It's definitely a bit loose in the bust, and a tad long, but it's a really lovely dress.

She's wearing a mohair wig and clothing and shoes by Azone (sized for Pureneemo, which fits well--though not all the shoes fit, I've found), and her bag is Integrity Toys. She's super cute! I'm so happy with her!

 

Yume is adorable and tempting! I went for her giant big brother Tom (To.M) this month!

Also- I've seen posts that say Blythe clothes do fit and don't fit. There are many beautiful outfits for Blythe on etsy.

Actually, I haven't tried any Blythe outfits. My daughter and I have an embarrassing large collection of Azone's Pureneemo dolls as it is, but they also sell the separately, too. I usually buy them through Mandarake or better, Hobby Search Japan. Both are great! Also, at IFDC (International Fashion Doll Convention) in Las Vegas, which I attend every July, there is an Azone rep who brings a ton of stuff along to sell, so I usually go a little hog wild there.

Amazon usually marks up their Azone stuff two-fold, so just be sure to check retail prices first!

@Idoru I think these are older pieces--I'm pretty sure it's a size M or S. Honestly, the difference is small enough so I can't tell. I'm pretty sure the XS is too small, and the new L (the gumball version) is too large for Limhwa, but I think both X and S fit pretty well--at least from what I've tried.

 

Thanks for letting me know @alington! Azone makes some reeeeally cute outfits, especially for the S size lately, so I'm so pleased to hear they will probably fit on my Mari. ♥

I am glad to find this forum a little active. The blythe boots are so cute.
Alington, Yume is very cute. I am trying to decide on normal or white. I used to have Sara in both resin colors but can't remember if the normal has yellow tones and if the white is too white.

 

The white is quite white and the normal is very pale with pinkish tone. In fact the normal is as pale as some companies white skin.

 

Thanks Nancy for reminding me! I remember now it being very pretty normal.
I sold all my 6mm eyes.

 

Here are my two Limhwa girls- WS Sara and NS Yume. I got them from Junkyspot. One is in a Tiny Kitty outfit and it fits her very well. The other outfit is Momoko, and it is a tad tight but does fit. Yay!

 

So excited to find this thread, I've got a Tan Mari on her way to me and I can't wait! Happy to see all these suggestions for clothes and shoes.

 

Both those outfits fit your lovely girls very well! I never thought of trying Tiny Kitty clothes, so will have to give it a try.
