Licca-chan Doll & Outfit Splits

    1. I have run into the problem that most doll lovers have probably come across at one point or another. Falling in love with an outfit, but not wanting the doll that comes with it. Man, I wish every company worked like American Girl back in the when all the extra outfits came separately and replacement pieces could be bought.

      Anyway...

      I've been gathering clothes and things for my first Obitsu 27 doll who will most likely be named Noel. (It's a little hard to picture names for a bald doll.) Finding stuff for OB 27's hasn't been easy, since they are teen Skipper size instead of Barbie size, but research tells me stuff from the Takara Jenny and teen to adult Licca dolls should fit. The regular sized Licca doll clothing should fit an OB 22 body. I fell in love with the outfit for the recently released Adult Licca and the 22 cm Mouton Mix Licca. Does anyone know if or where I could find a place that would sell the clothes separately?

    2. I'm not sure about the exact outfits but keep your eye on Dollyteria and Mandarake if you can't find a split partner. Sometimes people have the opposite idea as you, they want the doll but not the clothes so they sell it to the secondhand shop! :) I have bought items from both and great experiences from both.
      Otherwise, you might try to put a WTB within a fashion doll community if anyone is willing to split this purchase with you or has the clothes and willing to sell them. I think they're getting a little more traction in the US community so you might be able to find someone domestic that sells it.

      head's up that the Jenny-Licca(classic) body difference is significant meaning the same for OB27 and 22. but if you plan to switch your Noel onto the 22 body sometimes, then she could wear Mouton Mix :thumbup

    3. Yes, I know about the size difference between the bodies. Thank you for making sure I knew though. The idea is to get an OB22 body and switch the head back and forth. I already have a 22 size outfit that I bought by mistake for the taller body. As for other fashion doll groups, do you know of any? I have had trouble finding other doll communities in the past.

    4. I know there is a fashion dolls group on reddit. r/Dolls and r/DollsOfAsia are active
      there is most likely some kind of licca/jenny/obitsu groups on Facebook and generic doll groups... sorry I don't have an account there anymore so I am not sure of the exact group name :sweat:sweat I left most social media sites some time ago...
      people also talk about and sell other dolls in the big BJD discord. altho it's mostly bjd focused.
      just from research (I'm not a member) there is one called Plastique Fantastique that is popular. not sure their policy about splits https://disboard.org/server/999845999751213158
