First, Happy Halloween. Long story short, when I was originally thinking of paint colors for this, I accidently used the wrong resin color for reference. I wanted to use metallic colored paint. But, seeing what "old blue" looked like, in person, I was disappointed with it's color. I just opened up the box again, in Fall, and my brain went "oh right, THAT'S the disappointing blue color". Something tells me IF I put it away, I'll forget what color it is again. Spoiler: CR Red Rabbit This lovely color probably won't stand up to dark metallics. So, I'm going to choose one of the following for my color palette: "might be a zombie", "Antique China", or soft pastels. Pastels?!? Pastels? Original plan was sun [white rabbit] and moon [red rabbit]. But, I also preferred if this could be quiet horror. So, that gets rid of "might be a zombie". I also am unsure if I'm still using silver. And, I need to map a color palette, because the body and resin pieces needs painting, too. I don't know when I'll start. So, I will prep the doll while making my decisions.
Happy Halloween, I love those rabbits and wish I’d bought one so I’m interested to see what you do. It is a rather odd colour but how about using gold metallics, the colder end of gold though…almost brass rather than very yellow gold. Could be gold crack lines maybe just on one side then have pale blue cracks on the other rabbit?
