Sewing Leggings!

Jan 5, 2025

I made my girl some leggings! I've been holding on to some of my kid's baby clothes, and it was finally their time to be upcycled. I'm used to sewing for 1/6scale, so it was amazing to me how much easier it was to sew for quarter-scale.

They're really simple, but but I was able to make these without spiraling into a nerve pain flare which is huge progress for me!

She'll get a wig eventually, once I decide on one :) and a doll profile then, too.

    2. Those look really great! Awesome victory. I hope you can look forward to more low or no pain sewing

    3. Those look amazing! I envy your sewing skills. I assume you use a machine?

    4. I'm glad you were able to make them without pain. They look super cute, as does your doll!

    5. I only hand sew! I never managed to learn the machine. I glued the hem with fabri-tac, and used the elastic that was already in the pants for the waist (which is why the waistband looks so fancy).

Thank you, me too! More leggings in my future.

    6. Very nice! Handsewing, if you're good at small, even stitches, is so suited to doll clothing. "Fabric-tac" - lol, i remember a brand "Stitch-Witchery" - that used to be my go-to for spot repairs until I got around to sewing anything into wholeness again (my handsewing skills are meh at best!)

These could pass for leggings, lounge pants, or even sleep bottoms. Glad you completed the project avoiding any pain!

    8. Which pattern did you use, if any?
