My last GO preorders were one Lr131 and one wig in pink cocktail that I'm starting to think I should have choosen peachpink instead... Well, photos will decide if I need to reorder the wig in peach pink when they arrive.

 

Has anyone attempted to dye a Leeke wig? I am very disappointed with the color of my Cocktail Pink wig and I want to brighten it up with either by Rit or Sharpie dyeing them by using the foiling method stylists use when putting highlights in your hair.

I want to make it more pink/pink and less pink/grey...

If anyone has any pictures of well done dyeings, that would be fantastic.

 

Can anyone suggest a good option for me from among Leeke's heat resistant wigs.
I'm looking for something with either a centre or side part, but no bangs/fringe. I'd be happy with straight hair, loose curls or waves and either medium or long length. I will need a 7-8" wig for a mini size doll.
LR-085 is too short.
LR-041 would work but I'd rather have something where the curls were bigger or looser
W064 or W101 might work if the hair were loose, but I wouldn't want to take it down
W059 would be great if it wasn't for the updo (I don't suppose it's detachable?)
W121 again might work, but I'm a bit worried that even the photo on the Leeke website looks frizzy so the wig itself might be a mass of fuzz
And then I look at wigs like LR093 and W072 and lots more in a similar style which seem to be styled with a side parting, but to actually have very long floppy bangs that would fall across the face or need to be pinned back.
Does anyone have any suggestions? And I greatly welcome photos of any of the wigs I mention above or anything else you think might be suitable. It is hard to tell sometimes from "official" photos what will frame a doll's face and what will hide it.

I had trouble finding owner photos of Royal Candy and Royal Lavender before, so I decided to take a photo since I had both colours in the group order that I made recently (from the cancelled quality "event"):


Top: Pure Purple
Bottom, left to right: Mystery Blue, Slate Gray, Royal Lavender, Royal Candy

At first I thought of taking photos of only the limited summer 2013 colours, but Royal Lavender looks quite grayish by itself, so I thought that by putting Slate Gray next to it the lavendar tones would pop out more. I also had Mystery Blue at hand so I decided to include it as it's a bit similar to these colours.

Now that I've seen Royal Lavender in person, I wish I had ordered it for myself too. ;__;

 

Does anyone have this wig? I'd love to see it on a doll that doesn't have such a huge forehead.

Hey guys I have a quick question about Leeke's wigs' wig caps, and figured this'd be the best place to ask; Are the stretchy? Honestly stretchy, like Himekazura wigs, and not just "well you might get a cm out of it if you try real hard".

 

If I remember I will check for you tomorrow... but off the top of my head I'm going to have to say no... it was a bit of a tight squeeze to get my two 7-8 Leeke wigs on my Dollzone Louis who has an 8 inch head. Although they both did fit... if her head had been even a half a cm bigger, they probably wouldnt have.

 

L-131 M in Maroon color (direct sunlight.) The two side tails are detachable. Beautiful color, but the website swatch in Leeke site is a bit off.

LR-136 M in Maroon (artificial light.) My camera doesn't capture the color though, under artificial light it has a more greenish hue to it. I really love the Maroon color as the color really changes depending on the light source.

Yeah, I got LR-092 but I couldn't find a better side view that would show how much shorter it is from behind... I do love the fact that it's not very poofy in D size, unlike many other leeke wigs.

I'm guessing after going through the thread and seeing no mention of it that the Unique Lavender in the 2014 summer even is a new colour, but in case it isn't and no one's bothered to bring it up, I'm wondering what it looks like in person? I'm looking for a silvery-lavender hair (Royal Lavender actually fit the bill almost perfectly) and I'm not sure if I want to put an order in only to be disappointed if it's not what I'm expecting.

 

I'm very thankful for the comparison of the black wigs together in this thread, but I'm still lost!
I'm looking for a blue-black. A very rich black with a blue undertone in natural light. From the picture, it looks like Real Black is my best option but it looks very light next to Natural Black.
I was excited about Blackberry from Leeke's photos but it looks bright purple in real life, is that correct? I would love to find a black wig color that looks like Blackberry on Leeke's photos...

 

If it helps, here's a picture of a Blackberry wig I got last year. It definitely has rich purple undertones - very pretty!

Mystery Black might be what you're looking for? It's a true black with strands of blue running through it. In a lot of lighting, it looks less like streaked black hair and more like dark blue hair (you can see this in the second batch of the sales images here).

I have Black Berry, Shadow Blue and Mystery Black wigs, so I'll try to take a comparison photo for you tomorrow when the sun is out. Blackberry is definitely noticeably purple though - I don't think you could mistake it for blue. Unfortunately I don't own Natural Black or Real Black wigs, so you won't really have a 'plain' black to compare them to. maybe I can find a black backdrop to photograph them against

 

Thank you so much, guys! Blackberry is growing on me now that I see it's not super bright purple. I'd love to see the comparison if it's not an inconvenience, this is really helping me find a wig for my girl. Who knew black wigs were so different? Mystery Black looks so pretty! I wish that was an available color right now.

 

Real black is not lighter than natural black. It's the other way around because natural black is really dark brown and real black is just black. I have photos with lots of colours in this post, there's the two blacks together and blackberry is there too. No mystery black, though.

 

Oh no! Natural Black is dark brown? That wouldn't work at all. In real life, is your Blackberry wig that bright as it is in the second picture? I wish they would sell RealBlack all the time, it looks like a safe option.

 

Well it's really dark and brownish, so I'd say it's dark brown. And no, the first photo is more accurate, the second one is slightly brightened to highlight their differences. In person blackberry is clearly purplish but it photographs almost black unless it's in direct sunlight.

 

Thank you for your help! I jumped on a group order to snag a Blackberry wig since the other colors I like aren't available right now(but I'll get them too when they are!). I'm looking forward to seeing the color in person, it seems like a fun color to photograph.

 

Mmm... new colours. Can anyone tell me if Unique Lavender has been released before and maybe post photos? I can't tell from the Leeke website if it is more lavender or more grey. thanks!

Hey so since it has been a little while since this thread has seen some activity, I figured I'd ask:
Have your summer limited color wigs arrived? I'm being as patient as possible waiting for mine (I was part of a very large GO which is expecting delivery in mid-Sept, but I think individual orders will probably get them sooner..) but I'm super anxious to know what the Beige / Unique Lavender will look like. Is Unique Lavender a new color for this year? I can't find owner pics anywhere!

I'm glad I got a second chance at Leeke's cancelled quantity event because I've been admiring the Blackberry wigs ever since I've seen them in this thread but could never think of a reason to have a wig in that colour. It wasn't until after the summer event ended that I thought that my bunny boy Rémy might look good in one, so when the cancelled quantity event began, I didn't waste a second ordering one.

I don't think my pictures could ever do this beautiful colour justice, but wow! The purple that shines through is just too pretty. Now I just have to wait for them to rerelease Royal Lavender... if they ever do.

 

Another blackberry wig here my boy finally has hair XD it took awhile to ship but it was worthy! I love the soft texture and the color is perfect for what I wanted (I wanted a wig that looks black in regular light but kind of purple in bright light).

 

Got my new GoldSandy wig yesterday so today I made a quick comparison with some other browns (and blondes). :3

Hey guys! Could I request photos of the colours "sweet blonde" and "Anne". Thank you ^^ Particularly in the LP wigs.

 

Hmm, so my beige/unique lavender wig showed up and is a perfect fit, but I'm having a lot of trouble with liking it.
It doesn't look like what I expected based on the stock photos, and it's really, reeeally, really hard to photograph.

In person, it looks like a solid silver under indirect or any artificial light. It makes her resin look yellow which bums me out. Plus she looks like a young girl with an old lady's hair.

In sunlight it reveals a mix of many tints of pastel colors. It's really beautiful... if you're looking at her from 12" away or less.
But overall still looks like a gray wig. I couldn't find the gradation from beige to lavender at all, even in sunlight!

And then! I tried taking photos of it and after about 40 shots I found settings where the gradation shows up in the photos! But it's soo~ hard to see in person. It's.. it's basically invisible to the human eye.

For as long as I waited for this wig, expecting much more pronounced violet.. and as hard as this is to photograph.. I'm rather disappointed.

It seems nicely made, but it's.. such a struggle to enjoy!
