Here are my new Leeke wigs that came today. Most of them are from the two-toned custom wigs event, which came with one extra wig of the same style and size as the one you ordered.

First up, LR-038 Whisperblue/PeachPink:


And the 'random color' version, PaleTurqoise/PinkCoctail:

(I must say, this was a random wig, that actually topped the ones I ordered )

Now for quality... The fibers are super nice and soft on each wig and none of them show wig caps through the fibers (so they're not too thin). Only problem is that on my blue/ink pigtail extensions the wig cap shows very much:

I can still hide it by taking the pictures from the opposite angle (you can see this default in the picture earlier piture as well) but considering how nice the mint one is.. It's a shame...

also got a regular wig, LR-093_D in Goldenrod. Very pleased with this one!

I just took out my wig box today and thought I'd round up my Leeke/Dollga wigs and photograph + write down what I have since I keep getting mixed up. So, these are all the leeke colors I have in their heat resisting fiber (I have older wigs from them too, but I can't remember most of the colors):

 

Here's Real Champagne, which is gorgeous. I wish I had gotten another wig in that color!

I don't think I ever posted here ._.
But I also ordered this wig: http://denverdoll.com/images/leekeworld/sandy.jpg from Denver Doll in the color Misty Brown back in 2010. I didn't realize it was one of the "bad" ones, I just figured this is what the wigs look like outside of company pictures. It wasn't until recently I figured out it's not supposed to look like this.
I undid the ribbon holding the ponytail in the back to try and make it look nicer. It didn't really help.

I searched for a thread similar but I couldn't find one, sorry if there's already one like this!

Ok so~ I'm highly considering buying a couple of wigs from Leekeworld but I've heard a lot of mixed reviews..
does anyone have photos of wigs you purchased from Leekeworld? Good or bad?

I got my preorder wigs today. Royal Carrot isn't very impressive to me, but I love the beige.


It has some strands of RealCarrot mixed in there and otherwise it kind of reminds me of Maroon. Or Crobidoll's Powder Brown actually.


The whole image is a bit too grey, because light wasn't very good. Beige is a perfect middle color between a clean white and evecream. It is slightly greyish in some lights, though.

This is the beige by itself, Leeke just sent me the wrong style wig, but whatever:

 

Does anyone know if the pigtails on LR-038_M (the MSD Hatsune Miku Wig) are clip ons? They don't give much info on the site...

I have an LR-038 wig in 7-8, and yes, the pigtails are clip-ons.

I thought that I'd share some photos of the summer 2012 pre-order limited colours and some comparisons that I've made with other companies' wig colours. ^^ Here's all the colours that I had in my group order:


BlackBerry by itself. It's a bit challenging to photograph 'cause it tends to turn rather black in photos. It's a lovely deep purple with a hint of red-ish tones IRL.

I also did a comparison of BrightBeige and Beige with MuddyBlond, which is an earlier limited colour from another pre-order:

Beige is a lot like MuddyBlond, though it has a slightly warmer shade. Here is a comparison of MuddyBlond with some blonde shades from other companies (Bambicrony, Crobidoll, Cherish and nDoll).

I also compared RoyalCarrot to another orange colour that I have, Cherishdoll's Cute Carrot:

I was rather disappointed with this colour, it tends to look more brown rather than orange...

And finally an older comparison of BluishGreen with ForMyDoll's F7:

They are the exact same colour. I suppose F7 is the same as the "Vintage Green" in ForMyDoll's newer wigs.

I could have sworn that I have taken a comparison of RealRed and RedCarrot but I can't find a photo for now... >.<; Well, if I find more comparison photos, I will post them here. ^^

 

Received my Royal Carrot wig in Style W111 last night. Got around to taking pictures of it today.



Comparison between Leekeworld's Royal Carrot and a carrot colored DollZone wig. Leekeworld is Heat Resistent Fiber where as the DollZone wig is not.

I'm very conflicted on which wig my doll should wear until I can get him a new one. The color of the DollZone wig is what should be his hair color, but I much prefer the texture, matteness, and style of the Leeke wig. :C

 

Does anyone have LR-009?
Especially in size 7-8?

 

I'd like to see LR-051 any size and color will do. To this wig have the detachable curly ponytail?

I'm wondering does anyone know, or have a comparison of any Leeke colours that are similar to Crobidoll's Mellow Cream? I'm trying to find a similar colour..

 

Did anyone get a wig in real red yet?

 

I have one from the last time it was available. It's a stunning colour! In the pic it looks more orange than it is due to the light. I had to take the pic in my light box, in natural light it looks more red. Oh and please excuse the OT doll, I can't take the wig off her because it's glued to her head...

 

Leeke Limited Champagne Brown is a close match.

both are L(9-10in) size and very tight on a VOLKS F-01 head, I couldn't get either wig on with the silicone wig cap on

 

Hmm LW wigs tend to be a bit roomy on my doll but I do love their quality, so I make do with adding a silicone cap underneath the wig ^^
I have: LW041 Karma, Milk / Winter 2012 Event Art - Snow/Winter 2012 Event Art - Green Fairy

 

Quite a difference in this wig on a Yosd, compared to how the wig appears on the Leeke model doll (which I assume is a MSD or SD size?). So, I thought I would post here for reference. This is a W094 size 6-7 in Lavender Rose, which is a very beautiful blend of colors. And I still love it, even though it's much longer than I had wanted.

 

The Lavender Rose is kind of growing on me. I feel like I have to try it out for my SD girl. Though I'm sure it's not the same color I want for her it should at least do for the time being, until I can find something more suitable!~ XD

On a side note, I got my Real Carrot wigs earlier this week, once my girl gets here in a week or so to try them on I will post pictures of them and the Natural black one I have. ^^

 

There is still hope for your wig! I've just uploaded a guide to brushing curled wigs to YouTube. It features a Leeke wig (LR-003), so it's suitable for this thread. I really hope this is helpful to you, because that is a very beautiful wig you have

 

can someone post a pic of the W129 wig (in any color/size)?

 

This wig was only just available for order today, so there won't be any for at least 3 months. ^^
Though I hope t get one myself, we shall see ;p

does anyone have a an LR-001 (size L 9-10in preferred) in any color (but NaturalBlack would be nice) that they could post a pic of?
I'd also like to know about the quality, is it thin anywhere? did it stain your doll? is the fit really tight or loose enough to fit a silicone wig cap underneath?

I just got an LR001 in 7-8, it should be about the same, I don't see why it wouldn't be. It's in real carrot, in the post above yours ^^

Compared to my older leeke wig (the LR007, also pictured above), the other newer ones A LOT more full, I think it looks really natural. The fit will depend on the exact measurements of the head. My LR007 fits my SD girl perfectly (8-9) while, my other 3 will need a silicone cap to fit my MNF girl. Though it is to my understanding that Chloe heads are notoriously small.

Can't help you about the blond but I do have that wig in auburn. Their mohair auburn is pretty comparable to their Real Carrot colour.

oookay light brown it is LOL wow that is really red... auburn to me is brown with red tones O_o ... that is a bit too 'anne of green gables' red.
