So I placed my very first order with Leekeworld on the 13th of January this year after much deliberation. I finally bit the bullet because their wigs are the prettiest. I'd been umming and ahhing because of their absurd shipping charge for overseas delivery but their second lot limited winter wig colours pushed me over the edge. I ordered 3 wigs all together. 2 limiteds and one regular. I payed immediately via paypal. I couldn't see an estimation of when they would be shipped so I figured around two weeks is usually the reasonable turn around. Two weeks came and went. I then went to the FAQ and it said "LeeKeworld will ship your product within 24-72 hours." for items in stock... But these were pre-orders so I figured that the 24 - 72 hours would naturally be after the pre-order ended right? So that would be the 15th of January. Anyway, I'm sitting here, on the 16th on February staring at the status of my order "Prepare for an order" (not that that even makes sense) Looking at the answers to my first and second queries as to where my wigs are (One sent on the 1st of February and one sent today) Both are apologetic saying they will send the wigs "as soon as possible" then "We think we can send your items next week." They THINK? Is this normal? Should I not be upset? I also have my very first BJD on the 4th on Jan and it hasn't shipped but I've been so much happier with their support and communication. I understand that it takes a lot of work etc. But Leekeworld keeps bringing out all these limited and new items meanwhile they seem to have orders at least a month and a half old that haven't been filled! ARG Someone please help me! I don't know what to do
I've placed several group orders with leeke and am quite familiar with their service =n=.. Unfortunately, they will never tell you there's a problem unless you inquire and really chase them for a specific reason why your order is late. They avoid it at all costs. The "thinking" is quite normal for their answer. Normally, however, pre-order items are not sent the day that the pre-order finishes. It takes about a week afterwards for orders that have no delays. But since your order seems to have fallen off the dockett, just keep inquiring if there's a problem with your order. Best of luck, L.
It's not just Leekeworld, all companies (at least all of the ones i have encountered) say they 'think' that your order will be ready but can't be certain because if it isn't ready by then and they say it would be then they could get bad feedback (however if they say they think it will be it doesn't mean 100% that it will be). All of my experiences with Leekeworld have been great but i've only purchased in stock items. I actually have an order going at the moment for a wig and some eyelashes that only took 2 days to ship (it was the weekend as well) so i only have praise for them. However they probably have lots of orders for pre-order wigs since imo are the best and because they aren't premade they have to make them all from scratch. I wouldn't be worried, they should be ready soon
No, you're not having an unusual Leekeworld experience, I placed a wig preorder around the same time and I'd have been surprised to see shipping this soon, particularly with Chinese New Year in-between as well, preorder wigs are not 'premade' and waiting for you to order them; they are made subsequently and take time to get to the point where Leekeworld sends them out. It's nothing personal nor nefarious, I order from them regularly and am quite satisfied with their responses to me. With bjd orders, patience will definitely be a virtue, as well as a learned art, good luck! .hlp
Usually Leekeworld has this statement on each of their preorder wig pages: ""Reservation WIG" will be shipped after 30 working days from the day you get confirmed your payment."
I made an order with two limited wigs on 11/20/10 and received them about two weeks ago, so their current turnaround time is about two months I think. I wouldn't worry too much yet, but just drop an inquiry every now and then to remind them that they still have an order waiting and you should get them soonish.
I ordered the same things as you (2 limited and a regular pre-ordered wigs) on 01/09/11, and this morning i sent them email asking about my order's progress since it's almost 30 working days in a week. They answered my email quite fast actually (in couple hours), usually they took couple days to reply. Leeke's reply was, "We checked your order. We are so sorry for late shipping. We think we can send your items next week. We are so sorry again." I don't mind waiting bit longer as long as the results, i mean the wigs, are outstanding. What I'm afraid of is the quality.
I ordered Leeke preorder wigs before too and I believe it takes around one month or so for pre-order wigs. I ordered mine on the 1st day for the 1st preorder and it was send to me 1 mth later.
LeekeWorld has great quality wigs, so far the best I've encountered I'm sure everyone will get shipping notices soon, but with pre-orders you have to be prepared to wait for them since they probably get flooded with orders and they make them all from scratch.
All pre-order items said straight on the pages for the different colors, it was at least 30 processing days. Pre-orders generally are not "in stock"... They are pre-order. So they find out how many wigs they need in how many colors and in what styles, and then they get to making them and shipping them out. Pre-order wigs are basically like ordering a doll, only they come quicker than most dolls. Also, you will not be disappointed in the quality. I have recently started purchasing other brand wigs (mostly just a Monique one and a couple Fairyland ones), but I'm a pretty loyal Leeke customer. Also, it would be good to look in the Standard Group Orders section for a Group Order that's going on, so long as you have marketplace access. $350 total order = free shipping from Leeke, so you can always save on shipping that way, and there is almost always some sort of group order going on. Also, just so you don't get upset or frustrated with wait time on dolls... Some companies can take upwards of a year (such as Custom House) to send out their dolls, whereas other companies either a) have stock, or b) are more well-equipped to cast their dolls in a more timely manner. But it's not unheard of to wait at least 2-3 months (I would put the average somewhere around 3-4 to be honest) before you see a doll you order. They don't just make a lot of dolls and let them sit on the shelf. It's like going to a Wendy's or whatever, they don't make the doll until you order it, basically, so the casting time and setting time and all that good stuff is just a long process. So don't fret!
Thank you thank you one and all!!! You have all been so helpful! I got exactly the same message from Leekeworld as you varao - "We checked your order. We are so sorry for late shipping. We think we can send your items next week. We are so sorry again." I have a feeling maybe they have had to copy and paste that quite a bit! Which actually makes me feel better, not worse. At least neither my money nor wigs have gone mysteriously missing! I'm learning to be patient! But I DO like to know what's going on, especially when I read some of the horror stories on here (eg. Mio disappearing with people's money) So when it starts to exceed the expected waiting period (now 33 days from when I ordered) and I would only have 45 days to make a paypal return claim I start to get a little edgy! Saying ALL that. I'm super dooper excited to get my wiggies - I'm really glad to hear from those who both have got their limiteds and those who haven't. It sounds like perhaps the 2nd round hasn't been sent out yet maybe? Anyway. They're easily the prettiest wigs around - I'd love to know when you get yours varao! I should note too that Leekeworld was really quick at replying to my enquiries (even though I found them a little vague) they replied to both within a couple of hours - I was very impressed! Oooh, and Shlee - Thanks for the heads up - Luckily I knew this before I ordered my dolly and was prepared to wait (impatiently) for her. My worry now is that she will arrive and she will have no hair to wear! How sad! P.S. I could never wait a year for a doll... I'm pretty sure I would die
I ran a local GO for some of their limited wigs and eyes. The order took about 2 months to arrive. And that was after I pestered them. Before ordering from a company you should check out their feedback. Leeke has excellent feedback. They aren't going to steal your money. However, you should probably check out this thread. My GO wigs arrived in perfect condition. But it seems like their quality is going down.
Heh..i guess they copy paste to anyone who waits for the last pre-order wigs. I'll let you know when my order arrived I really hope it'd happened for my wigs also.. but i've read some of Leeke wigs feedback, they're hit and miss lately. So i'm kind of nervous.
I JUST made a thread that was quiet similar to this situation ( see my thread for full description of problem). I sent them a message through the Q & A and they said that my item would take a week AFTER it was already delivered to the location that I requested it not to be shipped to. Apparently they never recieved my email about my change of address. Though apparently for my order which contained a christmas box and two limited wigs took under a month to be shipped, though I saw others receive their boxes MUCH earlier.
I will chime in to further erase your doubts. This is not unheard of for Leeke, and VERY common for PreOrder. For preorders, I usually give about 2 months before I even start to think of hearing about it. I have never had to bother Leeke for them to ship and their wigs are probably my favorite. When it's not PreOrder, Leeke is outstanding. I placed an order last week and it shipped within the day (Korea time, so next day here). My wigs are fabulous, soft, and just what I expect. So please, don't worry over Leeke (or other companies, most of the time). This hobby is a huge waiting process for both dolls and preorder items.
I wasn't overly worried about the wait times except that everyone else was getting items and I wasn't. Though now I find out that it was delivered and they told me a week later that they were still making the items oO. Not sure what that means.
I'll chime in with my recent Leekeworld experience. I ordered two wigs, one of which was a winter limited pre-order wig. I ordered mid-December and received them in early February, so I was pleased with the time. The wig's quality was excellent, though it won't work with my doll's coloring. :/
Hisukioni - Sadly, I'm unsure of what they've meant, too.. I would just keep explaining. It is their fault if they did ship it to another address. To be honest, I don't think the people who answer for Leekeworld speak English very well. Every response I have gotten from them was very copy and paste and most of their contact is minimal and vauge. I hope you can get a solution soon! I would just keep hounding.
it is now 2 months for our preorder in our group order. Honestly I'm pretty sure it'll be relatively close to 3 months before I see my wig but so long as everyone else is waiting it out and its standard there's no reason to worry (for me) I had a leek wig once so far and it was AMAZING so I am really looking forward to getting the two I ordered this time. But trust me. Beautiful things are worth the wait.
I'm echoing the others here, because I'm in exactly the same scenario. I ordered 3 wigs- 2 limited, 1 regular on Jan. 13th. I've only sent them a message asking for a shipping update last night. I'm not really worried though. I placed another order with them right at the end of the first season limited preorder and got those in mid/late january. Didn't even need to send a message asking about it. And the quality was amazing! All the preorder wigs say to give 30 business days, or 4-6 weeks for delivery. So I don't even think we are out the their given time frame yet. My strategy is to just forget I ordered them, and write a reminder for myself at intervals. This hobby is truly a practice in patience. I've waited just as long, if not longer for a doll. But patience is almost always rewarded, especially when it comes to pretty dolls and their accessories.
Finally i checked my order on Leeke's web.. guess what, there's EMS number! They didn't even send email to let me know. It was shipped on Feb.22th. Today is arrived at my country. Hopefully i'll get it soon so i could check the quality You should check your order status on the web, gingerfish. Who knows, maybe it already changed.
Oh, right, whoops! That's true, I've honestly never gotten an email from Leekeworld with the tracking info or a 'you have shipped' message, you do have to go out to the site and check your order status there. My wig order shipped this week as well, but when I have an order pending I tend to go check about once a day. .hlp
I'm also in 2 group order of LeekeWorld actually and here's my date of order and shipping date: My first GO was on 13 Dec!! and they change status to shipping on 25 Feb!! so about 2.5 months of waiting. And my second GO was on 2 Jan, they ship the items on the same day sooo it's 25 Feb too. That quite surprise me actually I bought wigs from leeke soooo many time but not with pre-order wig though, they work quite fast. But when it comes to pre-order, ...... I think they should change the notice of shipping to "30 - 77 days" XD something like that.
Hahaha - Narmnam - "30 - 77 days" hilarious... 77 is rather specific! P.S. Your Bory is just beautiful! Yep, I've been checking daily - a couple of days ago the status changed from "prepare for an order" to "delivery confirmed" I don't actually know what either of these mean. But there hasn't been any delivery yet. I also happened to find an EMS number too! But it didn't work! Alas. Luckily I have all you lovely people here to reassure me and I'm just going to play the waiting game! *siiiiigh* I'm not that worried now I know it's fairly standard! Just mildly irritated :P
For some reason, whatever shopping software a lot of these Korean companies are using has the phrase "delivery confirmed" to mean "we just shipped out your order, it's on the way", and they can't change it. I asked Luts about it, that's what they told me. Just putting in my Leeke pre-order experience from a year ago - I waited for one pre-order wig for over a month, the waiting times are quite lengthly. Everything I've ever ordered that was in-stock though shipped within 24 hours. Leeke is a big company with a lot of good feedback, I think they're very trustworthy, although I have received a thin wig from the once.
My order is arrived today~! So ordered on 01/9/11 (confirmed on 01/10/11), shipped on 02/22/11, and arrived on 02/26/11. In total 31 work days waiting to be shipped. They are in good condition and good qualities. Oh somehow i ordered 4 wigs (plus 2 hair pieces) instead of 3 wigs i mentioned it before, i guess no wonder it took so long. I should pay more attention on what i bought.
LOL! My order arrived today, lovely wigs! The usual Leekeworld quality, I shall order new wigs from them once I've completed my move, I love one wig, but I also now need it in another color now for a second doll, ah, Leekeworld, you got me! .hlp
After 1.5 months Leeke finally sent the pre-order... However they wrote the wrong address on it I think because Tracking says that the Attempted Delivery failed because of insufficient/wrong address >.< Here's to me calling Auspost on Monday to try and sort that out... Hopefully I don't have to call Leeke/EMS directly and then wait again until it routes back to Korea to be re-sent!
