Ashley is just too adorable! I would love to own one someday,she was actually my first choice when looking into the large headed A types.

Here is my Ariana in her new dress..


I'm considering having her faceup redone in a harlequin-esque look,I think it would suit her character much more.

I don't have either of these girls anymore unfortunately as I found a deal on a dream girl of mine and I had to jump at it and these two were sold for funds. I bought them both from members on DOA too so I can't comment on packaging or the layaway process direct with leeke either. I first fell for Kiko and managed to get her in lovely b resin (which is now discontinued), the body came from a Mia (who's head I also bought and sold) and the Kiko head was a random blank head issued during an event, so I got extremely lucky to get her in lovely b

[MENTION=8792]Oliveoil[/MENTION] Thank you. The b body is gorgeous, as the torso is one piece it seems to make the doll sturdier (IMO). I bought and sold the Chloe shown in the picture and I also had Mini too (bought blank through DDE) who has also moved on. I do plan on getting another one in future but I am holding out for a tiny Kiko You can pick washers up from ebay or a DIY shop, just make sure that it's made from white or light coloured silicone or rubber as you want to avoid the possibility of staining or a reaction between the plastics! As they are quite soft too you can cut them to size too I hope this helps!

The photos are all amazing, Ariana is just adorable and will be lovely with harlequin look. I really want to get a doll of this series just not sure how to deal with the joints showing yet, I will be reading old posts here to see what everyone have done.

 

I did hot glue on torso, legs and neck. I love the posing now.

Edit: Also did anyone have DIM sweet girl? They seem to have similar head size and their neck circumference is very similar, I wonder if is possible to make hybrids of them. Did anyone tried?

 

Hello! As far as I can see the head size for the DIM sweet girls is approx 21cm and Leeke art girls have a head size of 40cm. Neck wise, Leeke art bodies come in at 6cm and the DIM sweet body has a neck of 5.9cm. So the neck size might be compatible but the heads are not at all similar in size. I hope this helps!

Edited to add the Mikhaila head is about 18cm so on second thoughts the DIM head might just work!

 

I have a flowne head in a art body, color dont match because the body is Pure rose, but i love the proportion head/body, one day i will put a volumen normal skin body for my flowne.

 

What is the average wait time with Leeke?

Sadi-chan: So far I have clothes that work but I have to pin the back because they have such narrow shoulders. There is a seamstress on eBay that made the little one piece Rose is wearing. I am hoping to sew and sell for them...someday.

Oliveoil - that's makes sense, I gonna look a bit on eBay too, until now I only looked etsy. Her dress is very cute, they must have a good store. I hope you can do it

 

Has anyone entered their illustration contest or have any ideas for what they would have liked to enter with?
It is not much time left...
I really like their A-line, but never took the plunge and got one. Maybe trying to design one would change that (if they end up making it that is)?

Ghost is still blank but the artist I want to commission will hopefully be open again next month.
She recently claimed quite a few pieces that were meant for my incoming doll but I just love this look for her.

Has anyone tried, or have any knowledge, of if Dollmores Mokashura is a good match for the A-type body (in terms of clothing I mean)?

 

I will be painting my Mikhaila this coming week when the weather is warm for 1 day and before I go back to work the weekend. So she won't be blank for much longer. Then I will post a pic of her, she is really weird looking blank to me.

Bambi Darling- I love your Ariana, she is so cute, how is her posing with such a large head? I was thinking about getting another one of these apple bottom big booty dolls.

 

Thank you! Her head motion is pretty limited. Although I have heard sueding can fix that ^_^. Her slight lack of posing is substituted by the cuteness and the cuteness 100% makes up for it in my mind

 

I have been adoring these little melonheads quite some time now and was wondering the poseability of the volume body since it doesn`t have the torso joint. I`d love to have the bigger boob body but if it`s awful to pose then I must choose the other one.

 

Well that settles it for me, I will have another large bottom doll later this year once I let go of some SD size first.

Can I ask for some Ashley, with faceup A, spam? I have pretty much settled on getting her, but I am not sure about the way the mouth/lips are painted on Leekes default faceup A. So I wonder if I could modify them to look the way I want... So therefore, I ask.
(unless I should take this to the reference board)

I finished my Mikhaila faceup is done, but I am losing light so I will take a pic of her tomorrow. I am not a pro painting faceup's, but I did have fun.

Bambi Darling: Love her so far! Beautiful face up. Please post pictures when finished. I hot glue sueded Ashley and Rosemary's upper joint. It helped a lot. I love the way they fall into quirky poses.

Yumeiro: I have Ashley and Rosemary. Ashley is my favorite, but love them both.

Gamekitty: I love her face. I tend to like the bigger heads on these dolls but this one is tempting.

I finished her faceup (except upper eyelashes coming in the mail). Im decently happy with it. I'll probably re-do it but she will remain like this for a little bit.

Been lurking this thread for forever. So many new beauties! Don't know where to begin.
Bailette, I adore the strong pastel palette in your picture. Especially love the eyes in contrast to faceup/wig.
BambiDarling, Ariana's faceup is precious! I wish I could do the eyebrows and lashes that well. I hope you find a worthy name to go with the gorgeous lady soon.

Here's my Leeke Kiko Konomi, finally united with blushed body and fantasy tanuki-parts. Konomi's new blue wig goes surprisingly well with the rest of her I think. She is a big colorful mess, but a very pretty mess I would say. xD

Hi guys! I am thinking about getting a leekeworld art body doll but I was wondering would they fit minifee shirts, high waisted skirts (ones that fit almost under the torso and not on the hips), or non fitted dresses? I know that with their amazing hips that they would most likely have a problem with pants and such.. I just think there are so much cute stuff for minifee and would be amazing if some of it fit them too!

 

Some will fit. Especially if you take off the head to put them on if they don't open all the way in the back. A line, loose dresses fit fine, be careful if the hips. The torso is closer to yosd, than mini except for the arms. Lol thinking about it makes it feel like Frankenstein...So many different sizes!

Happy to see the gorgeous Gurma beatnik! I'm keeping my eye out for new pics of her on my Flickr too... I already liked her previous faceups but Bangarang sure did phenomenal job to match the lovely B skin tone.
