Lovely girls everyone!



So my Ashleys have decided that they want to be hime ageha college girls, so I will be developing more of their wardrobe to that personality. I am hoping that they will not rebel much, because they just want to shine and be fashionable, and truth to be told, their bodies are hard to sew for.

 

I have to share some happy news with you

It was a very busy weekend and I feel like a zombie now! hahahaah But a very happy one.
I was attending two dolly meets on Saturday. It was "plastic/barbie/blythe etc" meet and another, very private one, for bjd collectors
It was extraordinary! And my girl won two fabulous titles during this first meet (6th Annual DollPlaza Meet in Warsaw)
- she got a "Second Vice Miss of the Annual Meeteng" title and another, very funny one "Miss I Must Have Her" title!!!

 

Just placed an order for a Mia on layaway! So excited! Any Mia spam?! ^-^

 

I've wanted one of these cuties for a while, trying to talk myself out of it. I really like Ashley. Any spam to tip me over the edge? I've also read they don't pose too well, and their ankle joints pop out a lot?

 

Hi! I've been gone a while O.o I second the spam request! Going to redo Tuesday's faceup in the next couple of weeks!
[MENTION=63330]LadyDeath[/MENTION] I feel like mine poses quite elegantly. The difficult part is balancing the large hips and head over the feet, but their posing is pretty solid once they are balanced.

 

They have an ashley listed as in stock on DDE just being an enabler lol

 

Ahem, I caved! Lol, yes late last night I got her, paid my invoice today lol! And now the impossible hunt for clothes!

I know! I kept watching box openings for her and looking at photos, then when I heard you can't just go to Leekeworld and buy then anytime, I had to have her.

 

Oh ya art dolls are definitely a limited time offer thing. You better grab it while it is there or else you don't have any at all.

So... I just saw this. Their Winter Event starts in a few days. Maybe this is a new sculpt for us?

 

Ohh she's lovely! I wonder is she msd or yosd? Do Leekeworld only offer their dolls at certain times then?
My Ashley shipped woohoo, should be here Thursday, of course she's blank, and I still don't have any clothes that will fit her.

Ok so more info about that beauty we just saw: she is an elf Rosemary. She is indeed on an art body and she has wings :3

There is also another art girl named Rachel that is similar to Nicole with a smaller head with an art body. Leekeworld is being generous. There are also 2 limited b bodies as well. Sorry if I cannot type them all out. I am on the phone.

 

Oh goodness the new girl is stunning! O.O Of course an event happens when I just start a layaway >.<

Also curious if someone could help me and tell me which size eyes fit Mia? Also do minifee tops generally fit the A type art body?

Hey everyone! I've been stalking this thread for awhile but I'm finally joining in with my Valentina! She going to be called Julie. I got her 2nd hand.

I had a lot of fun trying different clothes on her today. She's settled in this Wimukt outfit. I'd like to go with a really cutesy obnoxious visual fairy kei look for her, but I love her in this outfit.

I also tightened her and added kips in her neck, torso and thigh cup joint things. So she's pretty solid right now.

The hat is from a seller called LovvBugg on Ebay,it is made for full sized American Girl dolls but it fits nicely.

 

Good to know! I really dig (animal) hats, so if I ever go for a big headed Leeke girl I would surely need a good source, as this, for hats that fit!

 

The more I look at Elf Rosemary the more I think I might actually get her..I thought the original Rosemary was beautiful but just those pointy ears make me want to actually own this version.

Glad I have time to think though,since the event doesn't end until the 20th.

 

Oh good to know! But I'm a bit confused. LW Heads have a 7" circumference and AG heads are 12.5". Is that supposed to be a tiny hat for AG?

 

Actually, I think bobbly heads are 11inches. *goes to measure* Yup, she's 11 inches. I also thought the American Girl hats would be too big but the patterns will match.

 

Thats right,the big headed Leeke girls have an 11" head circumference,the only thing is that some hats fit differently since AG and these dolls have different head shapes and measurements.

For example,I also have a trapper style hat for AG and it fits my Ariana better than the one in the picture I posted.

 

Huh. No clue why I thought they were 7" lol. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

 

B-types are 7-8 inch so maybe that's why?

Life has been crazy so I haven't had much time for my girlies, but I would like to wish you all a merry Christmas

Huh... How interesting. Leekeworld has put up Ashley and Mikhaila up for sale on their website. I wonder how long are they going to be there for... Too bad they are not selling Ashley's heavenly red wig though even though they have that color right now. Wah...

 

It looks like all of the non limited Art Body girls are for sale again,I checked under the A Type tab and none of them have the out of stock icon anymore.

And Merry Christmas to those that celebrate! I personally don't but I hope you all have a great day!

 

Seems like restocked most everything too that were out of stock. Now it is even harder to not be tempted!

I have a pre-loved Ashley arriving next week and I would like to ask if any of you know if the Leeke 9.5" - 10.5" wigs fit these girls or am I better sticking with the LB or blythe size ones?

Takhisis: Congratulations on your new girl! Re:wigs Their 11" line is where you should look. The smaller wigs won't fit them. Blythe wigs also suit their giant heads. Good luck in finding her a wig! That path is long and sometimes frustrating.

 

The Leekeworld art bodies are so beautiful I'm especially in love with the B type! But they seem to be few and far in between compared to the larger A type. Does anyone have an Elfdoll MSD head (Lovely) that they wouldn't mind hybriding on either an A or B type body for reference?

 

I recently discovered these dolls. Can someone tell me if Mini with B body has the same sculpt as Ashley with A body? They look the same to me.

I don't think that an MSD head would work on the B body... its pretty tiny compared to an MSD

I have both so I will post a comparison tomorrow (far too dark now sorry!)

 

Ok so i have a Leekeworld florance. The head has a yellow tone to it (I'm not sure if it's a normal skin yellow or if it's yellowed from cigarette smoke or sunlight) the body has a pinkish tone to it, again I'm not sure if it's pure rose or if it's white with a slight pink tone. White resin colors did leekeworld do the art bodies/big heads in? Also is it difficult to resin match or would it be easier to attempt to trade heads? (Can i get a picture of their resins if possible?)

No problem I'll look forward to seeing your pictures. Leeke released some limited edition dolls in a pale lilac resin which they named lovely b. The body from my Kiko came from the limited lovely b release of the art body Mia and the Kiko head which is also in lovely b was a random head they sent as an extra during an event. I bought Mia as a full doll on the DOA marketplace along with the Kiko head and sold off the Mia head. I got really lucky to get a full kiko in lovely b If you look through my stream on Flickr you can see my Kiko next to an NS Sunny for comparison.

 

Beatnik...lavender is lovely...I had a MoMoColor doll in that color, but sold her on. I really liked the color...how often does Leeke offer that? That is wonderful you were able to get that match. I like the Mia sculpt too...what made you choose Kiko over Mia?

She has faceup A...much better than I expected..and the resin which is white ( pinkish) is wonderful. This was her first day outfit...she already has different clothes and hair I haven't enjoyed a doll this much in a long time...especially a bigger one.

I contacted leeke a while ago to see if they planned on releasing any more dolls in lovely b, but unfortunately the colour has been discontinued.

I picked Kiko over Mia as she is my favourite art body girl and having her in lovely b was beyond what I'd hoped for.

I'm currently seeking an Iris and if I can find her second hand in lovely b I'll be very happy indeed!

Your Kiko is gorgeous, I'm tempted to also get her in WS too

 

Not sure if I am just being daft here, but is the pre-order for all leeke dolls an open ended thing? I sent them a message and the language barrier is confusing things! They said that the pre-order is open in the new future. There are no dates for the opening or closing of the pre-order period as far as I can see and you seem to be able to add any of the dolls to your cart right now. Does anyone else know any more than me?? :O

 

I contacted Leeke about this to see if I could get a more understandable reply because I was curious as well. I'll pm you and leave a reply here when/if they reply about it. I REALLY want their Mia, she's gorgeous and don't want to miss out if this is some special event going on and we don't know it.

A question on their layaway....do they begin making your doll immediately? Or when payment is completed?

Hihi @latedate_kate and @beatnik They gave me the same reply as beatnik and I asked them if they could elaborate and they basically confirmed what I thought...they'll be available in the indefinite future. I'm actually a bit confused on their layaway, information on it is here if you didn't see it yet. Under their, "Layaway Order Process," it says that after the final payment is made your order status will change to, "Prepare for an order," so I am under the impression the doll isn't made until after you paid it off. I would contact them at [email protected] (they respond quicker there) to get a better answer.

[MENTION=66472]CirqueNingyo[/MENTION] thank you for looking into that I know Leeke used to just allow open orders like most doll companies but that stopped a while ago in favour of them just allowing pre-orders for set periods. The pre-order periods allowed for shorter waiting times than with most companies so maybe they feel confident that they can still provide the same level of service but without limiting the availability? I can only guess at this though so *fingers crossed* that the dolls will be more readily available

I adore the art body girls and had hoped for another release of Iris at some point, but I am still hankering after a replacement for the sunny I sold (but this time in white resin).

 

I received Ashley and struggled with the proportions. I was ready to sell. Now I love her. Hoping to add a friend. I like the B body too.

I bought a secondhand Sunny as my first art body girl and her floppy body really put me off at first. I got round it though by tightening the stringing and also hot glue gunning her joints A tip for wobbly heads too, is to put a rubber washer type thing on the top of the neck joint as it fits round the string and is barely visible once the head is on
