Wish I could contribute a photo of my boy, but I did get a message from Leekeworld saying he'd be shipped in a week or so! I'll pic-spam when he arrives and I find some boy clothes that will fit the Art Body...BY THE WAY, does anybody have a recommendation for a good place to buy clothes specifically made for the Art body???

Yay~ Thread Three!! PinkBurrow and Cydril your girls are both so adorable! I think Mikhaila definitely suits ruffles and lace :3 I don't have any pictures of Lillian on hand, but I'm hoping this thread will bring a lot of wonderful new Mikhailas!

im really looking forward to everyones new dolls coming in! always facinates me how one sculpt can be customised to look so different by everyone!

 

My Mikhaila arrived today(I had totally forgot about her!) and Im in love with the body! The head didnt caught my attention at first but after a few hours of looking/posing/dressing/undressing her I really like her head too. If only she had some eyes. I got bright cyan-ish eyes with her but gosh, she looked freaky in them -scared- so I have to get her some new ones :3

Shaiyeh Yes she does, it was the only one I had sadly but as I said earlier, Mikhaila just looks adorable in pink so for now it will do :3 haha, I will and thank god I was at that doll meet and saw you dress/undress Tulipe or else I bet I wouldnt have figured out how to get her head off (it took me quite some time even though I knew how to do it! Im better at it now though, Ive done it a few times by now! ;D )

Cydril It's from a split I joined probably a year ago or so. It's the Soom Rosette Armeria [Summer Term] dress (and wig). The sleeves are a bit long but I didnt even thought she'd fit in it so it was a real surprise :3

haha, yeah, Mikhaila heads are a bit... of work. I like my SOOM Teenie's head where I can take it off without removing the s-hook. I bet that can be modded for a mikhaila but I wouldn't like doing that O:

 

My Mikhaila is on her way home!!!! *super excited* I have my tracking number and it's working! I REALLY hope she likes one of the spare wigs I have here at home...and some of the spare eyes...until I can save up to get her her own...I just can't wait to have her here! Anyone want to post happy spams?

Here are my twins. They are both Purerose skin Mikhaila.
Meet Lizzie (in the bonnet) and Lenna (holding the green monster doll).
I think Lenna might be a older Mikhaila just from her color she is not blushed but I am not sure on that.

 

Shaiyeh Thank you! Yeah, Im really happy with her, I dont like that's she's single jointed though but her body sure makes up for it...besides, Fairyland spoils us so I guess I shouldnt expect her to pose as well as my two pukifees. Hehe, all in all, Im in love with her! :3

Cydril Hehe, it does fit pretty nicely, a tiny bit poofy but it still looks nice. Luckily this dress in particular is a shorter version on the Rosettes so it's long on Mikhaila, if it was long on the Rosettes it would have been waay to long on Mikhaila n_n

Take a look at the clothing thread for the Art Body - link in the first post on this thread. I've updated it today with etsy sellers, but if anyone has any other sellers or wants to post pics of their dolls wearing clothes from other manufacturers please do.

Well, according to her tracking info, my poor girl is still stuck in customs, where she has been since late Saturday. Personally, I'm hoping it just hasn't updated, and she'll actually be home tomorrow or Wednesday. I am stalking the tracking number, though, hoping for any update at all to it. And don't worry, there will be pics! And then she'll either sit out to remind me to give her a face-up, and start looking for a wig and eyes for her and make her clothes, or she'll be put away in the dolly cabinet with everyone else to actually wait her turn to be worked on. I'm rather betting that she'll jump the line, though.

 

Hello! First time posting here! Just thought I would post my little girl too ~


Her name is Mai (Vietnamese for Cherry Blossom)

 

I don't have a picture of them wearing it but I got a Heart 4 Heart 18inch Doll clothing set at target. Its a Indian Sari and it fits my girls really well a little short in the skirt length, but unless your super picky about it not dragging the floor its a pretty good fit. They have a riding set i want to get with pants and some boots. I don't think the boots will fit too big and all but I think everything else even the hat should fit her.

 

My girl is home! Gonna go open the box now, but SHE'S HOME!

I'll share some photos just as soon as I finish her wig. Assuming that when I get done it actually looks how I want it to. Should be tomorrow if nothing comes up to keep me from working on it. I'm about half way done with it right now. She'll not have a face-up yet, but I figure that's OK. She's a darned cute sculpt without a face-up anyway!

Anyone have a solution for the kicky leg/ankle syndrome?
My girl keeps popping her ankle out of joint and her foot always points upwards. I already checked the stringing twice, its not twisted or anything. I must admit it is starting to annoy me quite a bit.
Anyone else got the problem and possibly a way to fix it?

 

Lady White Raven - my girl is very kicky, too. Sueding helped a bit, but I need to re-suede her (using glue) as it's starting to wear thin.
But it doesn't help 100% so I'd also like to know if anyone has a better remedy to this :3

 

See I am worried that this issue is caused by the way her feet are attached via a screw. Which would mean that this would require quite a bit of "surgery/modding" to fix.

 

Yes, I've noticed that on my boy. I was just going to hot glue suede him so there's a little more traction on the joint ^_^

 

Tulipe tried to be an "emo" kid yesterday, she even took a picture of herself.

 

Both of my girls are kicky. Lizzie like to throw her foot at me. For some reason her right foot like to come of the hook a lot. No damage but I am going to glue the hook in next time it happens.

Does anyone else have trouble with shoe and shoes or stocking like I do? I have to work the boot or shoes I put on my girls when they have stocking or socks on.

 

To he honest,I got that issue too. I am not digging the ankle system they did.

 

Skylar is pretty kicky herself, but she has a lot of weight to balance too since she sports the metal arm from the Rabbit Bear Girl set. However I'm hoping maybe some hot glue sueding and maybe even some wiring will help her!

And to add to the pic spamming, Skylar's new Another Space outfit finally arrived today! She slays me with her cuteness always~

Well, I still haven't finished her wig (got sick, haven't been up to much of ANYTHING the last couple of days) and I still haven't decided which eyes she's getting (the purple that came with her, or some powder blue I already had at home, she and I both like both for her) so the only photos I have of my girl are from her box opening. I'm loading them to photobucket right now, then I'll share one here! I am SERIOUSLY in love with this girl! And now that she's home, I'm sure I'm going to mod her bust, too. Not sure how much bigger I'll be making it, but I WILL be doing so! Hopefully by the end of summer...I tend to take FOREVER to get mods started, let alone close to finished. lol.

I would still like to know how you people get your dolls to stand on their own. Dulcina does NOT do it ever. I got over my fear of restringing with her already, I don't know if I can work up the courage for sueding yet though.

 

ZombieEdward I have the same problem with both of my Mikhailas. I ended up putting some covered wire in them when I took them to a meet and used doll stands just in case. I was afraid to leave the wire in though because it has a colored covering. I need to get some in white one of these days.

 

I can get mine to stand but it takes a while and some work. Ishe won't stand on carpet very long. It has to be a had,flat surface. I have gotten her to stand in some sneakers but she makes me nervous. She seems to stand best barefooted.

 

Covered wire, now that sounds like something to try out.
I know my SD girl has a problem with standing on her own unless she's in a certain pair of shoes. Maybe I need to find Dulcina more stable shoes.

 

Gave my girl a make-over, decided to take out the aamu eyes as much as I love those eyes somehow I couldnt realy completely bond with her, now I got some eyes of a sweet friend of mine ^^ I even had inspiration to make her some 'clothes' XD

You have all inspired me to take some more photos of Amelia. But first I could do with some new clothes and perhaps a wig other than her stock one. As much as I love it on her it would be good to have something different too. I'm thinking of getting one of the limited mixed coloured wigs from Leekeworld.

 

I simply cannot wait to get my Mikhaila!! Meanwhile I'm drooling over the spam and gallery pix to ease the tension...

I love that dark brown wig Hasel! Tan Mikhailas look so nice in just about any color wig. My poor girl has been stuck in the default lavender since I got her. I kind of want to change it since its so common...but its also so cute ^^;;



@Aiowen, Skylar is adorable in that outfit! Are you going to paint the arm or leave it clear?

 

The pictures are so lovely. I think I am falling for the Tan Mikhaila now lol. I wish you could still get a basic doll from leeke I like to have gotton one. The twins got there little victorian nightgowns in and I am hopefully can do a little photo shoot with them.
