Leeds UK Meetup, Feb 3rd~

Aw sorry i couldn't come and join you guys this time but glad my mate Cinnamonmouse did... Owen's first meet up and he's been making friends already! Pretty Hyde, yay! More pics?!

What was the deal with the girl that picked her way into the middle of the tables, randomly took a picture of the table by the window and buggered off again btw? Jaxa and I where kinda sat there all "Wtf? Rude much?"

 

Oh yeah she was weird. She took a couple of pics beside the sugar and milk counter too. It wouldn't have hurt her to ask!
And YES! Thank you for organising the meet! i didn't expect to enjoy it so much!

Anyway, wow so many gorgeous pics and beautiful dolls!
I'm afraid that, for all the photo's I took, the majority of them came out really blurry, which is probably just a mixture of my crappy photography skills and my old camera.

These ones came out the least blurry (and a couple are still pretty bad.. )

I think my camera loved Nori too it couldn't stay away from her and I'm wanting a Soony so bad now ah well have to consult the other half first I think :P

 

Noriko is such a pretty thing, unfortunatley I was doing that much experimentation with my camera hardly any of my pics came out. Bar a few which are here ^^ I had so much fun~!

I had such a great time yesterday at the meet, I'm sorry I had to dash off so soon. Everyone was really great and all the dollies were really amazing

Seriously, I was in Soony heaven yesterday - I had one on each side of me, bliss ! So beautiful and so different to each other !

Cutie Delf Michael was there !

So many great dolls to see - my first Spinel ( the lovely Asher ), the amazing Hyde ( first Minimee I've ever seen ), the indescribably lovely Migidoll Ryu ( although these amazing photos do show him beautifully - crumbs, I can't get over him ! ), Coco and BonBon and Special K... worn out with all the beauty !!!

It was great to see everyone and enjoy so many different dolls in one place. Hurrray for the upper floor of St**b**ks too - which we commandeered. If we'd had a pound for every weird look we got (not to mention the random girl photographer) we'd have had enough for a new blank head each !

Note to self : must thin out Dai's wig a bit He greatly enjoyed the fondling he experienced - he loves meets !

River, I love to pieces the photo you took of my Shayhi (Soom Gena/Feeple hybrid). This is why I don't take photos - I leave to people who do it properly !

I must drop in to give a quick 'phwoar' - there are some stunning dolls and photographs in here! All that fiddling with DSLRs certainly paid off!

 

Awww I loved that little tiny she was so adorable. Wt was she? I really want a tiny just to take round with me to places. I was actually thinking of getting a Dollshe Ru but now I want something smaller means I can recycle my old Barbie stuffs :P

Although I think they only have MSD size stocked right now x.x; But you can usually ask them and they will tell you if they have them/can get hold of them. They got me a pair of eyes they didn't have listed on their ebay site, but that I'd seen them sell before ^_^

Be warned though, some people have problems with this seller o.o; I did only once out of the five times I've bought from them when they listed an item they did not have in stock so stalled me for nearly three months before admitting it and letting me pick a more expensive pair of shoes from their shop xwx;

 

She is XD Her body is a little floppy, much like Delf dolls, but she is very pretty ^o^

The leetle tiny is a 'Ball Jointed Doll Ai' ('Freesia' version) by Jun Planning, the folks who do Pullip. There was some debate about her filling DOA's BJD criteria, as she's not made of resin Last time I checked, she had just scraped in by ticking all the other boxes! Happily, her non-resin ball jointedness made her more wallet-friendly

Little Dropsy had a lovely time and enjoyed meeting everyone and their beautiful dolls, looking petulant, pointing at things and showing off her pancake.

In the meantime, could anyone please tell me if there's an etiquette re. posting peektures with Owners/'Parents' clearly visible in the shot? Like, is it OK if meet-humans appear by default (ie. background)? Or is it more polite to avoid posting pics where we crop up in plain view near the Resin Lovlies, and just concentrate on showing the BJDs instead?

(I enquire because I have some nice dollie shots where the humans can't really be edited out. And because I'm an anxious noob, of course )

I've been lurking around the Leeds/York thread, but am having some 'floating date' issues - I start a new job on Monday, so should know soon if I can do March, or April...or *Both* I so enjoyed that York mini-meet last Summer, and would like to repeat the experience/stay longer/get some neat outdoor photos. Hmmn, and I recall deliciousss cocktails too!

But, back to the last Leeds meet....




I arrived late and then felt a little shy about circulating, so I didn't get shots of all the dolls I was admiring. Hopefully next time! I clearly got a bit fixated on the Hyde/Owen/Eden Lurve Triangle, though

BTW, big thanks to River for the texts and help in finally getting me down there. I was really glad I made it out to play.

I had such fun playing with Hyde and Owen in photoshop. I just meant to tweak the lighting a bit, but then got totally carried away!

No Manchester on the 9th for me, but I'm hoping for at least one of the 'local' meets. I may leave Eden and her wandering elf ears at home, and bring along one of her siblings instead. Better posing possibilities
