Sewing Latiy Yellow or 1/8 Basic Patterns?

Mar 21, 2018

    1. Hello everyone - I am wanting to attempt making a few basic items for my Ebi. She is a 1/8 16cm DollZone Mini Hal.

Does anyone know of any basic shirt /pant patterns for that size? I know Lati Yellow is the same size roughly. I wasnt able to find anything in the search.

      Thanks in advance!

    2. I think that some of the easiest things to make are circle skirts[if you make them extra long, add a ribbon around the waist to be a dress!], pumpkin shorts, and kigurumi[animal costumes]

Circle skirts: Lots of tutorials online, just google one! but it's pretty basic...Tulle skirt tutorial - Melly Sews

Pumpkin shorts: This one is amazingly easy.... here's the "pattern" CraftyTutorials: How To Make and Wear Wrap Pants .
Using this pattern, the U shape is the crotch of the pants. Make the pattern about an inch [2-3 cm] wider than the measurement of your doll's thigh, so the pants puff out when they're all done. You sew the sides up to be the legs of the pants, and then you can put some elastic in the waist and legs to make them puffy!
Kigurumi: Find a stuffed animal you like, about the size of your doll. A little bigger is better. Make a cut down the front of the tummy [or wherever you want the opening] remove the stuffing. See if your doll fits. I usually cut off the hands of the stuffed animal, hem it, and put some elastic in so that it stays put on my dolls. Hem the cut parts, add buttons or a zipper if you fancy that, and you have yourself some pajamas.

Another great thing I did when starting out was googling patterns, resizing them to be the right size I needed and either printed them or traced them directly from my computer monitor. I hated wasting printer ink, so I did a lot of tracing when I started out. Just scaled the image on my computer, taped some parchment paper to my monitor, and traced!
