[Adopted] LatiDoll's Blue Line (part 1)

Mar 19, 2006

    1. They'll be released on the 27th...

      But until then..

Judging by the pictures, do you think the girls' body-type would be slimmer? Like Narae/Sharmin/Unoa? They don't look very buxom, granted, but they do look like they might have a mature-type of body..

Any thoughts? I'm in love with Cara. <3.

    3. My Cara arrived today, she can wear Unoa and SDC clothes, basically anything that a Mini-fee can wear, she can too.

Regular MSD clothes seem way too loose for her :)

    4. AJP Unoa shoes fit just great:)

    5. I have put my Unoa clothes and shoes on Cara...
      They fit perfectly well

    6. Here. She looks alot like Cara to me, maybe a tad younger. The only difference is Yern has a smaller head 17cm as opposed to Cara's 18.6cm head and her mouth is opened.

    7. I was wondering if any other blue owners are having the same problem as me. The leggings that cara came with are staining her legs black! Has this happened to anyone else? Is there anything I can do about it? Thanks for any help!

    8. I haven't put the leggings that came with my Cara on her yet so I haven't had your problem. I had my Cara sanded and sealed with MSC so hopefully that will help prevent staining. From what I've seen and read about dark colored (especially black) clothing it is a good idea to rinse the clothing well and even soak it in vinegar before wearing. Also it is not a good idea to leave the dark fabrics on your doll for extended periods of time.

I would try washing the leggings to get some of the dye out and then not leave them on your doll for long periods of time. Also maybe one of those Magic Eraser thingies (used very gently) would remove the staining on your girl's legs.

I'm so sorry to hear of your problem with Cara's leggings. I hope you get her all fixed up.

    9. I dont have a lati blue but i have a Red and Green and i love them both. and neither of them look plastic-ish. lati doll is really nice to work with. both of my transactions went really smoothly and the quality of the dolls is excellent

here's a picture of my two boys
      [IMG]

    10. I have seen and held one of the blues, she was slim and delicate, quite lovely.

    11. i believe the only place that sells lati dolls is lati themselves

i believe that the blue girls fit into Cerebus project Mini fee clothes and shoes found at Luts.

    12. I have a Latidoll Blue Cara (white skin). She is quite delicate and lovely. I don't find her too shiney at all.

I had her sanded, blushed and sueded at Rose Colored Philanthropist. They did a beautiful job. She poses beautifully. Below is the thread with the pictures of her body freshly blushed. She is about midway down the page.

Also there is my Catsy who had a faceup, blushing, sueding, manicure and pedicure.

      http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32874&page=4

I have lots of shoes that fit Cara. You just have to look around a bit and ask for inside measurements. She fits well into Unoa clothes and MNF clothes from Luts.

    13. Here's Leaf, my Lati Blue Yern:

She poses like a dream. She is the white resin, which is not shiny at all-- very soft off-white, and looks very beautiful. I blushed her body a little bit. I don't have any complaints with Lati-- my order went well, and I got my doll in about 3 weeks. (She came without a faceup-- if you want a faceup it might take a little longer.) She is very dainty and slim, much slimmer than the usual MSDs. She can fit into some Tonner Tyler clothes which you might be able to find on Ebay for lower cost. And she can fit into some of the Teen Trends shoes too.

    14. Black wigs stain on the faceup... I had the problem with my lati yellow (I sanded the stains), and a friend of mine have now the same problem with her lati blue. The faceups look weird, as if they use low quality coating instead of MSC...

    15. I love my Latidoll Blue Cara. She was a bit of an impulse buy because she decided she was coming home instead of someone else ^^;

I couldn't be happier with her, though. She poses beautifully, her resin is very soft and a lovely pale cream, and her faceup is VERY nice. Latidoll even sent me the eyes that I requested.

Her black wig did stain the top of her head a little, though. I'm not too concerned, because I can't see it (it's under the wig, after all) and I know that if I wanted, I could sand it away with only a light buffing over.

All in all, from initial purchase, through fast shipping, to having her in my hands, I'm totally happy. :)

    16. Do black wigs really stain their resin? Was it a certain brand or type of black wig, or was it the faceup type? Because I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy Sylphide's Yern, and I would love to buy her a black wig, I think it would look stunning.

      Sorry about the off-topicness, I hope I don't get in trouble. D:

    17. My Latidoll Ronnie's black wig stained the top of his head. Other than this, I have no complaints about Lati at all. The resin is very high quality and not at all plastic-y. The resin IS a little shiney, though, so in photographs I can see where it might come out looking plastic-ish. You have to get the light just right when you photograph him or else his skin looks washed-out in photos.

My Ronnie poses better than any other doll I've ever had the pleasure to play with.

    18. I got my blue a while ago. I both love her and find her frustrating.

She is strung quite tight and her arms snap back into strange positions all the time because of it. (Restringing should solve this, though) I'm also not a fan of the locking elbows and knees, as it affects her 'fluid' movement like my two boys.

It is also very hard to find clothes for her, but this might just be because I don't like most of the Unoa/Narae clothes out there. I suppose Unoa/Narae owners feel just as frustrated. In the whole time I've had her I have only bought her one thing. She just wears the top I bought her, and the underwear she came with. Poor girl :S

She also seems to stain very easily. Anything I touch her with seems to stain her. I would suggest to anyone who buys a Lati that they sand and coat (though so far all the stain have come off, except for the ones around her headcap from her black wig. I don't really care about those ones...they're under the wig, after all.)

Things I do like? She's still very, very pretty :P Despite being a bit frustrating at times, I still love her to pieces. She's a very beautiful girl, with a lovely faceup up, and both her wig and default outfit are exceptional quality. :)

    19. Sher ~ Here are my thoughts on her "posing and stuff":

I don't like the design of her knees (they look fine, but they don't work so great), I bought my Cara from Enki, who wired her. Enki removed the leg wires for shipping, so I was kinda nervous when I first lifted her from the box and saw how useless her legs were. However, when I inserted the wires back in, it made all the difference in the world. She stands almost rock solidly. I did read one thread where someone said that their LatiBlue stood perfectly straight from the box and that really surprised me ~ so who knows. But when I look at the knee scuplt, I just don't see how it could work that great.

But anyway, as I said, she's perfectly fine with the wiring. She's such a great size and weight, i just love to carry her around with me ~ around the house and even in public, which I hardly ever do with my other dolls.

I have heard a lot of complaints about her default wig and leggings staining her, but I haven't used either. None of the other clothes I have had on her caused any problems, including the black ajumapama minifee outfit I bought her from luts (see my first link below). Btw, luts minifee shoes fit her excellently.

Here are some pics of her if you want to see:

and with her new morbidollz faceup:

    20. Since Cara (who has a larger head) wears 6-7 I would say definitely 6-7 for Yern.

    21. one more question, what size eyes does Yern wear? thank you again in advance.

    22. it's on their website, it says 14mm

    23. muscular body if possible, and customizers please!

    24. They fit in Volks Super Dollfie Cute clothes very well. Normal MSD clothes fit nice too-- it's just tight in the shoulder area. The tonner outfits that my sister and I own fit pretty good, but the pants are kind of short. It's not bad, though. You just need to tug them down a bit (though they'll be snug and flush against their hips) and they should reach the ankles.

    25. Will Narin/MNF clothes fit them? Or do MSD-sized clothes generally work better? (I know chienism already half-way answered that question though :sweat ) From what I've gathered they must have very close proportions to Narin, but with longer legs and broader shoulders (right?)

I'm planning on getting one soon and hope my Narin's clothes will fit him, if not I'll go ahead and buy some MSD clothes for him.

    26. I don't have Narin clothes for him to wear, but he's not very thin throughout. In fact, jeans that were baggy around the waist for my sister's MSD are tight on him. He's thicker everywhere, but better proportioned as an adult. His arms and legs are much, much thinner than a normal MSD's, though-- but his thighs are meaty. I know that Narins can wear Teen Trend pants easily. I tried a pri on the Lati yesterday, and they didn't go up past his thighs because of how tight it was-- but it was very, very loose around the ankles. I hope that makes sense. :(! Basically, he's skinny in weird places and thicker in others, so he would fit in MSD clothes better.

    27. Oh, wow, I never would have guessed he's so "thick," that's good to know, thank you! I'm actually glad, MSD clothes are so much easier to find!

    28. Have a picture~

He's wearing an SDC shirt (SDC boys are thicker than Narins/Limho/Unoas, and they're broad-shouldered too) and it's stretched tight. It keeps unzipping because he's so buff. D,: He's also wearing Dollheart MSD jeans, which fit really nicely and are very form-fitting to his thighs. Too short by anout an inch, though. So I rolled them up. MSD shoes that were impossible to put on my sister's MSD (I suspect they're for the mature mainis) went on without any struggle, and are even a little loose in the back.

Height comparison with an MSD. You can see that at the chest, he's just about as broad as the MSD. Unfortunately I didn't light this very well, but you can sort of see how his legs are much, mcuh thinner in the knee and calve area compared to the MSD. Arms are thinner, save for his shoulders-- which are very round and large. His hands are thinner but his fingers are longer, by the way. Here are the same pants on the MSD:

They're loose on the MSD (who is long-leg, by the way-- I don't know if that helps any, though).

And fitted on the LatiBlue's thighs.

So, I think basically... Big thighs, big torso, small everything else. If you go for a really loose look, I think he might look pretty nice in a SD10 girl hoodie or something. And buy baggy, longer MSD jeans. With belts.

      Hopefully that helped some. XD!

    29. Most mini shirts fit decently enough, though occasionally they're a little tight in the shoulder and short in the torso. In this picture, the boy on the left is wearing a Tonner Matt t-shirt and it's a little short, but sexy-tight. The brown shirt is one I made with a pattern designed to fit Volks minis.

In general, I like the way Volks tops fit these guys, since they run a little roomier and longer.

    30. no they are preety much the same, but one has more musular frame the ohter one simply looks ponchy

    31. had another idea, om of that Harry Pottor stuff by tonner should work, they have a "muggle" set of clothes for each (by this i mean it looks like regular clothes and not somethinf a wizard might wear) they are really cute :)

    32. MSD-shoes should be totally fine~ But I would rec' getting shoes that are less clunky and more refined, so he won't look like he's wearing kid shoes. Boots should be no problem, but if the boots are meant to wrap tightly around an MSD's legs... then they're probably not going to look right on the LatiBlues, due to their general calf and ankle area being so much thinner. Their feet don't seem to be longer, from what I've felt so far. Just thinner. :D!

The Tonner muggle sets are actually pretty loose on normal MSDs, so they went on the LatiBlues easily. But they ended up looking kind of, well, fluffy on the LatiBlue. The pants stopped just above his ankle, so I had to stretch them a little lower.

    33. Tuvie - I have access to both body types and as has been stated above, there's not a significant difference in the way shirts fit. It's most noticable when the boys are shirtless.

So far I haven't had a single problem fitting a mini sized shoe on these guys, and I've tried several brands, including Volks, Dollheart, Dollmore and Luts. The Lati Blue boys feet are a tiny bit narrower than the Volks minis, but that hasn't been an issue.

    34. i's better you buy the unoa size shoes...but be careful lati blue girl feets are very small...about 5.2 cm lenght
I've found very difficult to find good scled shoes my shaina. Actually the best shoes she have are a pair of white boots in custom house boots in lttlejunior and vintage ai size.

they fit perfec her foot and the best is that they are perfectly scaled...every little thing is perfectly proprtioned to her thin leg.
plus they fit well also my minisupia yanand my soulkid apple.
She have also a pair of leeke ballerinas...but she has to wear them with the
socks cause they're a litlle bit whider than her feet.
      Hope to have been useful

    35. Hi kscness,

Thanks for your info! Wow, I have no idea LatiBlue line gals have even smaller feet than Mnf who are 5.5cm! The problem is that I bought much MSD sized shoes for my gal already and they end up too big for her! Oh well, Unoa shoes I guess, either those or I just continue stuffing wads of cotton wool as padding in the bigger sized shoes...

Awwww... There are Leekeworld Ballerina flats? I am looking for them for ages already, in fact I am rest resigned to make my own pair or something, if I even gotten about to attempting so.

Once again, thanks so much for the info. I really appreciate the details you have given and I am glad that I might just be able to fit both gals in 1 size of clothes/shoes ^^

    36. the blue girls have gorgeous slim legs so bigger shoes make them look clownish. . . :( shoes are hard to find! I have a pair of Sharmin boots from juju's on ebay, and the teen trends shoes fit, esp the sandals. i'm waiting on 3 pairs of Leeke shoes so I'll post my findings when they arrive.

    37. I happened to chance upon this thread as well for 5.5cm shoes:
      http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=183619
      Hope they fit!

Ohhh... I think Leekeworld might be a bit big? The boots are so loose on MNF and I had to punch in more holes at the straps for my MNF, and if Lati gals have even smaller feet than MNF, I think they will be pretty loose? Dollheart MSD shoes are really waaayyy much bigger *sigh* That is too bad, cos I really come across several nice shoes from both LW and Dollheart.

    38. Could i ask guys whats the posability of the latiblue boys? I think i may have found the mini msd for me, ive been looking for so long for one that i liked and i think i have fallen in love. Also what is the quality like?

    39. I have two Lati Blue guys. I think they are quite posable, although I don't really use the upper thigh swivel, as they don't sit swarrico! (good for girls, not so for boys).

Here is a link to the lati blue boy database:
      http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=126630

      And another one:
      http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=156181

    40. They're capable of posing very well, but their balance is not that great. If they had some sort of torso joint, it would help a lot. I did a review on their posing here. Here are two comparisons where I talk about their resin quality and how the resin compares with other companies' resins. I also do posing comparisons between all of the dolls.

I think they pose a lot better with sueding. I used hot-glue sueding and it helped a lot-- especially when it came to using their hip joint. The mid-thigh joint is very useful when you want to turn their legs outwards without using the actual joint (which is stronger and easier to balance with). Their arms tend to be a little loose, though. The heads don't pose very well, so it's a good idea to suede that part and the hip if you're not going to suede anywhere else.

Overall, I really, really like them and their posing abilities! They're awesome, and I would definitely suggest them.

      PS: Haha! Swarrico~

PPSS: This is Chien-- I posted on Ty's account by accident again. Sorry about that.

    41. They're an odd-size, so you'll spend a lot of your time hoping and praying that you got something that fits. XD Overall, pants are too short-- so your boy might wear capris a lot. My sister's solution was to commission pants specifically for the LatiBlue boys. They wear a lot of SD clothes, and it doesn't look too terrible at all. Just suitably baggy for a boy. These are both SD jackets. The length of the sleeves and jacket are on the long side, but it's better than being in clothes that are so tight that the velcro and snaps pop open and so short that it's a belly shirt! :D They pretty much wear normal sized shoes, though.

    42. Rushlight-- I have had good luck with buying the pants from Lord Sess here on DOA. She makes her pants long and they fit the longer legged latiblue boys. You might want to check out her thread.

Not a good pic but you get the idea.

    43. Could someone tell me, for eye size for Rucus, is 12mm or 14mm best? Thanks!

    44. 12mm looks better, but 14mm does fit. Would you like a picture? :)

    45. Steph-- I think 12 mm works well. Believe or not my Rucas is wearing 10mm!

Chienism-- we always want to see more pics! Spam away!

    46. Alright then! :) Here's the default 12mm:

      14mm positioned upwards:

14mm positioned more towards the center:

It makes him look really gooey and cute.

And just because, here's one of him in Lati Kahn's default eyes-- which appear to be smaller than the 12mm, so I'm assuming they're either 11mm or 10mm.

    47. ooh he looks great in smaller eyes! i like my Yerns in 12mm or quite small 14mm myself. I like eyes a bit smaller and mature.

    48. Here is my Rucas with 10 mm eyes.

    49. chopsart - I've always wanted a censya boy but I thought all the other doll bodies looked unpleasing with latiblue heads(besides the normal latiboy body but that's not fitting for my censya boy). So I gave up on the plan. But when my sister got her unoa boy, she put my rei head on the body and I realized that my censya boy plan would work perfectly if I got an unoa boy body for him.

one of the images that swayed me over:

Ahhh, also to clarify, we only have all the blue boys. We don't have any of the other sizes. The only reason why we don't have kahn normal at the moment is because I passed up the chance to buy him months ago but I do plan to get him after I get my censya boy. =)

    50. Tyviris Yes, that make perfect sense. Do you have the Censya head yet? Can't wait to see the combination.

      Rucas
      [IMG]

      Mystic Kahn
      [IMG]

We really have to pick our fruit before it rots!!

    51. My sister made the top, and they're hotglue sueded. :) The only bad thing about hot glue sueding is that there was no wriggle room in their joints in the first place-- so now their knees and whatnot don't fit together seamlessly anymore (it's not a big deal for the arms). But hey, they can kneel now. Yesssss~

    52. What size wigs to Lati Blue boys wear? I thinking of buying a Kahn mystic head. Thanks for the help.

    53. 6-7" works great. :D

    54. Rosebud You are going to get a Mystic head! I have one-- here's a couple of pics:

I know chienism has one too-- you need to spam your mystic chiensim!

    55. Rosebud The black wig fur wig is a common wig, the golden tone fur wig I bought from Lati Doll when I order Rucas. I think it was about $14, and it is a little big on him. BTW the Mystic head runs smaller then the Rucas heads, so you may need to use rubber bands or mole skin to help with the adjustment. Because his head is smaller it helps him appear older.

Tonto-- I bought those white shoes from someone in the DOA marketplace, but I think Luts and other dollsites sell them. They are quite common. I have a pair in red too, and I use them alot. Perhaps you can join a group order to buy a pair.

    56. It's their default wig that's an add-on for $13 from when you buy the doll. You can't select it from anywhere else o the site. :o

    57. Anyone know what wig size the girls use? Specifically Yern?:sweat

I think someone mentioned Leeke wigs would work, but are we talking about the 7-8 inch or the 6-6.5 inch?:sweat

    58. Yern uses the 6-7" ones. :)

    59. The Lati wig I got with my Yern (which is a 6-7") is actually pretty loose on her - so stay away from 7-8 inch! I am looking at getting hold of a 6" for her next wig. :)
