LatiDoll Yellow Discussion Part 4

Hurrah! Just thought I'd nab this post to add some basic Lati yellow infos to, as many people ask the same questions (understandably). Any ideas what we need?

Lati have selling periods that a typically a month or so, every 3 months although this year theys added a few more I think? Their limited dolls are now time limited, not quantity limited. Wait times seem to be around 3-5 months.

Head size: 5-6"
Shoe size: 2.5cm or 1"
Eye size: 12mm-14mm depending on preference (Lati ship with 14mm defaults I believe)

Biggest Heads: Lea, Ruki, Cubie, Miel.
Smallest Heads: Laches/Pury, Cookie.

gah. well, it was full of compliments on the last photos: yummy pics for kate2kate and numerous compliments on Aya22 and Xylis' beautiful dolls and outfits. and big congrats to Gantaeno on a totally lovely Ruki with a perfect smirk

for PrincessStarburst: in a nutshell, i'd send one last email to be courteous (even tho the seller isn't being). check the sales ad, it should give a timeframe to ship from time of payment per the seller. i give myself 4 days to ship in my auctions (but not everybody even checks that part) good luck

Lati did a very nice job on Belle; I think they sent me a whole new doll. I'm not sure they did anything at all to Lea, although the little hair under her nose seems to be loose now. I'll try to get it off myself. I'm glad they are safely home!

Thanks! I didn't get an email, but I don't get order or shipping confirmations from them either. I even gave them my yahoo email in addition to my usual aol email - nothing either place. An additional tracking number did show up on my orderlist for the original Pirate order. They were pretty quick in sending them back - the dolls were only there about a week.

 

Wow! Gantaeno your new face-up is amazing!! Can't wait till you get her back and spam us!! Congrats!

Cant get over how dolls of the same mould can look so different! Here are Lisbeth and Lowanna (waiting for their cousin Halloween Cat Lea...). Like so many, I am quite smitten with Lea! and when I think that in my early days of Lati folly, I stayed away from her because of her sad look....

Maddy Lisbeth and Lowanna are so different! I think Lisbeth needs a vacation in the sun so she can get a nice sun tan like her sister! (Then again, after a few hot days this week I am already over Summer!)

While I didn't order one, I'm seeing more than a few people on flickr saying they got shipping notices for their vampires! I'm shocked! Lati was actually fairly close to their promised shipping times on those guys!

 

My mystic NS vamps (Lea and Miel) are on their way home! I never get shipping notices from lati but i checked my orderlist and I've got a tracking number! Yay!

 

Yay! You would think they would send my doll too seeing as we are in the same city!! LOL
Can't wait to see all the new pics x

I am really having problems on Lati website ordering the dolls. My Firefox browser doesn't work on Lati. I placed the order and the button keeps saying "running" but there's a problem with javascript which I can't solve because javascript is enabled on Firefox. Tried to order using Internet explorer and got an error message about X active controls which I subsequently enabled. Following that, problems with my credit card because the website Lati uses to take credit details is not enrolled to a 3d secure system for the credit company to accept it. Paypal is the last resort, but the exchange rate paypal is using s not fair! The exchange rate they're using is not the same as the official exchange rate so I will end up paying something like £15 more equivalent to about $20 more. It's been more than 24 hours I've been trying everything on their website and changing settings for my browser but it looks like Lati website is not that user friendly. Never had so much pain trying to order something through internet.
Does anyone else have the same issue?

 

hoatien, I hope you can get it to work! I just used Firefox and made my order a few seconds ago. I used paypal though.

Oh and I hate exchange rates too, but your credit card company would probably have the same rate or more worse than paypal! I had a good one, so I am happy and a nice bunch of credit.

Now I just need to wait for my pirate body, hands and vampire body to be returned to me from lati.

Drat! I ordered a mystic NS vamp Miel as well but no tracking number yet. Did you order the outfits as well?

On another note, does anyone else think that the face-up for Franken Miel is really close to the default on the basic Miel? Disregarding the dots and the pink and green on the upper lid?

ok, I'll probably end up using a credit card through paypal but I am just wondering about the credit card claims through paypal. Say Lati go busted, the limit for claiming through paypal is only 45 days...how does it work? I remember I queried this before for a jennydoll I ordered before from a dodgy fraudulent website in the US and had to go through the credit card as well as paypal so it wasn't easy to resolve.

 

hmmm I think because you still used your credit card it should be okay .. and let's have wishful thinking on Lati's part! I find that even the claims with paypal never go the way we want them to >_>

 

i totally agree! that is what finally helped me decide to forgo on Miel or Kuroo.

was the sketch I sent over for her to work from, Andreja is a face up wizard This little Lea's name is Cherry Tree (short for 17 Cherry Tree Lane) and she's a Gingerbread Lati! Well... I had to do something with that orangey tan colour, didn't I?

PS, just ordered my full set Cat Lea I'd love to buy Lumi too, but with the wig order invoice due in a couple of days... I can't afford to push things!

Congrats on more Latis arriving & vampire notices. I didn't order outfits but did order one Miel blue wig, oh & another yellow gift bag on the Miel order so that order will most likely be delayed being Lati, once again, never sent my gift bags last week.
I did a dollshow yesterday & it went extremely well, now I am banked with more Lati money!
With our son moving into a new house & needing everything I can now pay for my own Latis & save my husband some $$$.
I can feel a new Lati release coming in the next 2 weeks, hope they are all ugly! LOL

 

Yeah, those were my two choices also but not this time! Even though I love the outfits, when you break down the cost between the limited and the basic, the outfit ends up being $115 - seems a bit steep. The outfit for the vamp mystic Miel was only $75.

Oh well, I guess I'll be getting mine later than sooner. Hope to see photos of your guys here soon - I can't wait to see how the NS mystic Miels look!

 

Well only a few more hours before the Halloween babies go sold out My splits didn't go through so I guess no new Latis for me this ordering period lol. I'm really tempted to just go and order Lea right now though and keep the paws. Though to be honest I like the original cat paws better so I think I rather just wait to see if an original cat version ever goes up for sale by someone.

I'm glad to hear some people have gotten shipping notices on the HK Vampires. I ordered tan Miel and WS Lea but no notice yet for me. Hopefully they will all go out before the end of November

Now that I think about it, its probably better I don't order this ordering period. If I do then I'll have THREE pending Lati orders! Yikes! How can Lati keep churning out ordering periods when they haven't even shipped out the dolls from 2 ordering periods ago? >_>

Oh, and Gantaeno - I LOVE the faceups on your two pirate girls. I have to admit I didn't like any of the pirates very much. They just seemed way too orangey/dark for me, but the faceups you got on them look perfect!

I'm with you idlehen, even though I want to order. I have noooooo money to. Well, if they took only $170, I could get one. LOL! That is the amount I have left from my birthday gifts and what I had left after I paid off my 5th Anniversary Laches doll.
It is so difficult to not be able to order these limiteds. Arrgh.

 

It is hard knowing the ordering period is closing soon. I have no money for dolls so just try and stay clear of the lati site....!
I probably would have gone for cat Lea but maybe she will show up on the MP one day in the future when I have won the lottery!
Sadly, after no contact or response from the eBay seller of my pirate Belle, I have opened a paypal dispute. I'm hoping things work out before the case closes:-(

 

Oh no, that's awful of the seller. I hope it works out for you and you get your Belle, I had a bit of a flakey transaction recently on here with very little communication, but the seller did send my doll eventually. At least on ebay you know you are protected well via paypal, they nearly always find in favour of the buyer. Keep us updated x

Because of your wonderful and encouraging reply on Flickr, I shipped out my Lea's head back to them, too!
and I can't believe they just sent me a notification e-mail that my Lea has arrived and asking how much did I paid to refund me as points! WOW, I'm impressed! Hope my girl comes home soon, it's just a head cap/lid replacement but well.. I'm sure they are pretty busy with vampires now..

i just saw pictures of ewa's bloody moon vampires on flickr, they are amazing!!! i'm so sore that i missed this update. *sulks* for some reason, the mystic leas don't appeal to me.. i think it's the face up.. mystic miel on the other hand, is totally and utterly gorgeous. i'll definitely be skulking the market place.. but i can't figure out if i should just wait for the xmas release to get my paws on a mystic miel. : / if they don't have mystics for xmas or if they don't have a xmas release at all, i'd be kicking myself!

oh well, at least mystic miels and leas are more readily available now, hooray!

i'm hoping that since lati is keeping so well on its promise for the vampires that my purys will ship in december as they promised.. or at least, by january instead of march as i had feared. it would be so wonderful if they would arrive as xmas presents!

I've decided to give the Halloween babies a miss, simply because Christmas season is is hot on our heels, and I am keeping an eye on a few other companies releases. Is it bad to hope Lati release something for the Christmas period? :P *fingers crossed they do*

PrincessStarburst, I hope you get your Belle soon & there is a good explanation as to why that Seller is ignoring your emails.
Good thing Paypal protects the buyer! I just had to file a complaint against somebody who refused to show me a copy of
the mailing receipt, refuses to refund me & so will have to wait for Paypal to do that being she will not respond to my complaint
on Paypal. She is not on DOA or Ebay & it is not doll related.

Congrats on your Tan Mystic Lea PIPSTEDS!!! She's just so adorable! I'm so glad to finally see owner pics of these little ones!! I ended up changing my Vamp orders several times so it may be a while before I see mine! I changed my tan skin bebes to NS and WS so I've got all pale faces coming now and I can't wait!!!

I totally love her, there are the usual sanding marks but they are not too bad , you can see the one on her right hand but it should buff out, there is no gloss on her lips but i can sort that ) overall very very happy ;o)))

alright....I was a very brave dolly-addict this time around. I let all the cuteness go by and didn't order any dolls. Yay for my wallet! I have a couple of Lati and Puki dresses in the mail though, so ease the pain a little I bet the next special release will have elf ears, so I'm safe there too!! Well, I said I'd never get a bjd with elf ears, but I have a puki now so technically.....

Anyway, congratulations to everyone who ordered. Can't wait for the next ordering period though, I'm thinking of getting a Lati Red Irene .
