No new thread spam, as I still don't own any full Lati babies. I did, however, just order the mystic head Elly (in the darker tan) and a pink Mia. So maybe in six or seven months? (Who am I kidding? I'm pretty sure one will jump at me from the MP at any time now that I've caved and taken my first step into LatiLand... LOL!!)

 

Omg, so cute!! Those new eyes are perfect. I also love the swoosh of her hair. Makes her look like she’s moving!

Congrats on joining the Lati club! Something I once heard that I found to be true is that Latis are like a bag of potato chips… you can never stop at just one! Lol!

 

Thank you @nancy_schroeder_ca and @Sheyda! The wig is a Monique Gold “Mika.” It has style to it without being too bulky on a tiny. I have the same one in blonde on Mina but styled differently.

I just bought a secondhand Secret Garden Ladybug G.Yuri in tan skin. Lati still hasn't shipped out my other one (they said they're planning to ship it this month), but I've always loved this particular event doll, so I had to get her. My two G.Yuris will be twins with different skin tones, lol.

 

The dress is made by a seamstress on Etsy, am I allowed to post a link?

Maybe your Latis are taking longer because they aren’t in normal skin tone. I’m surprised you’re still waiting when we ordered around the same time. I want to get a Lati white but I’m supposed to be on a buying break to do renovations on the house

 

I think links are fine to post. I usually just say where the link goes to so you know where it'll take you. Mods haven't said anything to me about it so far.

Hehe, so I actually have a confession... I asked Lati to change my order to Normal Skin back in late March! lol. It was right after I sold my first G.Yuri and ordered the white skin one, that I finally found some current images of white skin Latis, like this flickr image. It's so gray! I realized that I'd rather have a doll with orange skin than gray-undead skin. I can learn to live with it. I'm just hoping that maybe Lati casted me a new G.Yuri with a slightly different peachy tone this time around (one that isn't literally neon orange).

Ooh, yeah, necessities always come first. Lati whites will still be there waiting for you. Hope the renovations are going well!

It does look grey, have you seen any owner photos of peach white? I want the little T.Hana in tan so bad but I know something will come around when I’m ready. Can’t wait to see your new ones when you get them!

So I just found a super cute new Lati clothing shop on Etsy!! It's called MoriDollyCrafts.
They're so cute and well-priced!
I had to buy a few dresses. I especially love that pastel pink and blue one, and the ivory turtleneck one with the tulle sleeves.

Edit: Hmmm, now I’m hoping that this is legit? Lol. Guess I’ll find out a few weeks! The seller sent me a message saying that she’s shipping it now.

 

@Sheyda: I think the strawberry dress and bonnet is adorable, so is the Lati modeling it.

I’m starting to feel better about my purchase. I was a little worried, because the Instagram account for the store (dolls.cake) has 190k followers, which are obvious fake accounts that she paid for. You can tell they’re fake, because they don’t even “like” or comment on her photos! I wasn’t sure if this meant her products were fake too. But this seller has been very communicative and sent me a tracking code and even a photo of my package. So I think this store is legit. I’ll post photos once I get those dresses, of course.

Do you all notice that your latis have a strong resin smell? like nauseating strong? idk if its because i have 7 of them in one box and I never display, but when I opened it the other day i almost felt sick from the fumes. Maybe they just need to air out for a few days. It's making me stressed about playing with them because I have severe anxiety about illness

 

The one I got from doll peddlar did not but the one direct from Lati did, maybe because the one direct was freshly made. I display them in a cabinet and the smell is gone after a couple weeks but the smell does linger in the boxes.

 

Oof, yeah, I noticed the smell a bit with that freshly made G.Yuri I got back in March. I think airing them out will help. I keep my dolls in a display case with those carbon odor-absorbing packets, and it seems to help with absorbing fume smells.

I’ve noticed that the MoriDolly shop has been adding one new outfit to the store each day. I wonder what new outfits they’ll have this week!

I just got my tan G.Yuri in the mail today!! She’s sooo perfect! I’ll take some pictures of her soon, when I get the chance.

 

I think air them out. Mine is not new and has no odor. Maybe the resin is curing still?

 

The Lati dragons don't have any extra pieces in their elbows. The knee pieces are elongated, not round. I have not wired my Lati dragon (or any other of my dolls) but I have sueded my dragon because he was quite kicky.

If you are handy with woodworking you could try to whittle a short length of dowel to fit within the knees instead of just a ball.

Which dragon did you get? (I have a Cubie).

 

That's definitely not a Cubie. Cubie has golden ankle parts. The dragon parts look like those of Gabie or Aabie, but the face looks more like Dark Night Vampire Lami.

Hello! I'm new to doa but I've been in love with Lati dolls for awhile now, especially the Yellow line.
I wanted to introduce my first Lati Yellow, who is also my only humanoid bjd (I prefer animal dolls). Her name is Estelle, and I purchased her from the estate sale of a collector. I've had her for about a year now but haven't felt safe to post pictures of her until I clarified with the mods about her legitimacy, as she did not come with a coa/box and the seller couldn't tell me her sculpt. After doing my own research, I've determined that she is a very old Lati Yellow Lumi, and that Raven of RavenDolls was the artist who did her faceup. Her body is also old and more yellowed than her head, so I'm saving up to purchase her a brand new body from LatiDoll. If I were to guesstimate, I would say that I'm either her 4th/5th owner, but I absolutely adore her

 

Are all of your Lati dolls fairly new? If so, then they will probably smell quite strong till you air them & the boxes, pillows etc out.

It can be overwhelming but it should go away. I don't store any of my Lati's in their original boxes precisely because of that. I found the fumes to be so nauseating. I have mine stored in two small drawers in an IKEA kallax in a closet that keeps them hidden & protected from sunlight and I feel like it helps as far as stinky resin goes.

Awww, so cute! I love their matching dresses Latis just seemed to have satisfied my desire for classic dollhouse dolls (if that makes any sense lol). Its a shame I've missed out on their share of popularity D:

Is anyone else building a room box or dollhouse currently for their Lati's?!

 

Actually I've been eyeing up a dollhouse kit, but I'm not sure if its the right scale. Is it true that 1:12 is best for Lati Yellows?

 

Yes, 1:12 seems to work best just gotta be careful with measurements especially furniture to be sure they work - sometimes certain items can be too small.

Lol. Same here, it's been a long time since I've been around these parts. I had a Vampire Mystic Lami waaay back when so it was easy to recognize the sculpt.

 

I would love a vampire Lati - I hope they will make one in the future.
Story of my life: I'm telling myself that I'm done buying dolls, and at the same time wishing for new Latis to be produced...

@stellarphenomena - I actually ordered a Mystic Ellie, but in the darker tan they offered. I hope she'll get here before Christmas, but I'm not counting on it.

I'm currently working on a little room for my single Lati Yellow. I'm using an Ikea Pax wardrobe frame and making three rooms out of it, one being for the Lati. There are some lovely things that work so well with the size. I'm all about finding accessories at the moment. The World's Smallest Fisher Price toys work so well for the size, but they are becoming harder to find at a decent price. I ordered a bunch online recently from a website that has disappeared so unfortunately I won't get them. I also found a metal tricycle on Etsy which just arrived. It's a tiny bit big but still works really well. They are just such adorable dolls. I need to buy some Lati furniture from Etsy.

 

Latidoll has made an announcement similar to Fairyland a while ago, they've moved their site and you're going to have to register there again. I just saw the info in their Facebook page. Their new site is here Latidoll

I also want to add that I ordered a Arctic Friends Mina fullset on mid January and she should arrive tomorrow as I paid my custom fees and it seems like she's been released from the claws of Finnish Customs.

I registered for the new site, but I'm not sure whether I now need to actually PM them with my order info, or just refer to the old site until the order is in (which I hope will be well before February!)

My Pukifee (and the Lati/PKF hybrids) all live on a shelf in one of my Ikea cabinets. They share the shelf with a few 15 cm Dollzone tinies. So that's where all my incoming Lati will be living, too.

My first ever Lati arrived today, and the weather was nice, so I took her outside for a mini photoshoot.



It was really fiddly to get the shoes/leg parts on, so I think she'll be stuck with them for a while even if I do decide to make her another outfit!

 

What is the difference between "New Basic" and "Basic?"

 

The new basics have at least a different face up from the old ones.

 

I received my Arctic Friends Mina and I absolutely love her, she's so adorable in her fullset outfit. I'm definitely going to sew her (and my other Lati's some new clothes *adding to the huge pile of work*. I only have phone photos at the moment, sorry for the quality. I also registeded to the new site.

 

Thank you! I just bought another bed for the dollhouse on etsy. It never ends lol. I remember buying some of the tiny Fisher Price stuff for my Lati's at Target ages ago. Hope you were able to get your money back from that site. Maybe try ebay? Post a pic of your rooms! I'll try and post an update of my dollhouse & lati's soon!
