Thank you,I think for now I'll just be patient and see how much better she gets. I think my inexperience is as much a problem as her tight strings. I know it's silly but i hate the thought of restringing her or sending her off to someone,silly but true. Iam working on her room right now. Here is a daybed I made her, now I need to make the bedding and some other stuff. sorry for awful photo,my phone is crap. My daughter made the growth chart for her.

 

Yes, I know what you mean, sending her now would like torture, she is lovely. Unfortunately many Lati are like that especially the old ones, but they get better with time. I used to keep mine sitting inside their boxes.

Here is what I said about pipe cleaners, but if you think you can't do it or if you risk damaging your doll, don't do it, please. It's fair easy but maybe for a beginner it might be a little frightening: M I L K Y R O B O T : BJD Trick: Pipe Cleaners

They had only Belle (the small one) - Lati white - then when they did the grown-up version, Lati Yellow, thay made G. Belle, which I love. Maybe some people complained that she didn't look much like small Belle. G. stands for Grown I think. S. Belle is supposed to be now the grown version of small Belle, and she resembles her white version much better I think. S. can many things, hehehe, S. can be Special, or Sweet. I think it's Special, though.

 

Has anybody ordered just a body from Lati recently? Would the waiting time be shorter than for a full doll? I can't take Lati year long waits any more but I have enough points so that I could get a free body for one of my floating Lati heads.

 

Unfortunately the waiting time for just a body or complete doll is the same. If you're lucky maybe just a little less but not much.

I don't get why they are so slow. I mean a year is just...not acceptable. They must be losing so many sales because of it! It's just a shame because I really want that Jia.

I wonder when the Cinderella dolls will start to come through. Really curious to see Happy and the Mystic Jia.

 

I just seen this girl from lati website, HK limited, The white planet, new mold 'Elly' What do you think? I love her outfit, it's so cute.

 

I'm completely smitten with the doll and outfit. A friend of mine is at the HK event right now. Elly is really lovely. I have asked Lati if they will offer her online too with tan option. They said: " There is no information yet but lets hope" with a smily face. So I'm thinking they might release her on line too if more of us asked.

 

Also beware of the colour change. Lati seem unable to keep a consistent resin colour and there is a wild variation. You are probably better off searching for a body from the same period as your floating head


Well I've been collecting Latidolls since 2008 and I never ever thought I'd say this but I'm done! I have no interest in the new release. I love my girls at home but won't be adding more. I think this is a combo of being lucky enough to have several dolls already and Lati's unacceptable waiting times - I'm just not prepared to wait a year for a doll. Lati really need to get their act together, employ more staff or catch up before releasing more.

 

I have 4 floating heads. One is tan and the other three are normal skin - or one may be white, I'm not sure as Lati normal is very pale sometimes. All three "normal" skins are different shades, so if I ordered a body and specified "old skin", I would probably get a body that matches (more or less) one of the three ;-)

I'm pretty much done with Lati, too, because of the unacceptable waiting times. But I have 202 (or thereabouts) points at this time, so I would get a body free (except shipping, you can't pay shipping with points). I could actually get a whole basic doll with my points the next time Lati opens their basic order. Then at least the head and body color should match.

 

How many times a year that lati open for basic pre order?

 

I am in love with Elly too and what a coincidence, I just asked them about this possibility, Elly in tan - so different from the one they offer this weekend - for us online! We had the same thought! I hope they hear us. If old fans are not buying that much this means they might offer more dolls, and maybe possibly will get our dolls ready sooner.

It is sad when I read someone saying they won't buy new dolls because of the waiting, it makes me sad. But I realize that most here have enought Lati, and the Marketplace is also an option if you want a doll and don't want to wait.

Just can't understand why Lati doesn't hire a few more employees for a short time only to get the dolls ready sooner, it would save them money, I think since they have to give us points when they are late. Also maybe attracting old fans and new ones who are a bit scared about the waiting time.

 

Be-Life - I totally agree that Lati should spend on extra staff to catch up, they must be losing so much by giving points out. I am totally used to the wait for dolls, at the start of my collecting I was too impatient to wait and bought mainly on the secondary market. Now I prefer to buy new. However I do think 12 months waiting is an unacceptable length of time but of course everyone has their "limit".

 

I'm fully agree with you : the wait is killing the pleasure we have in ordering these dolls. I ordered for the Cookie because I am waiting for her for a while and the second hand price are too high for me ... but I must admit that I don't want to order from them anymore

 

I've ordered from Lati years ago (pirate release) and I would love the little ladybird girl bite waiting a year for her is just plain ridiculous.

 

An other friend also asked about Elly too. Lati said they are expecting to release Elly online. They just don't have detailed information yet.

Basically，it's twice a year.In 2015,basic pre-order was in Jan and Aug.

 

I think I missed out on all the dark tan Lati Yellow which is a shame! I really like little Jia in this release but I just can't do a year! Lati have really dug themselves into a hole and even the secondary market here doesn't have as many lati available as it used to. I wonder if everyone is holding on to their dolls because they don't want to buy new ones...I gues my LoL Sophie will be without any friends for a little longer.

 

Hmmm, I have to disagree, I found many Lati dolls for sale on the marketplace.

@Be-Life I didn't mean there were none, but it used to be so many lati on the mp, where it seemed like every other doll fs was lati. Even the activity here has slowed a lot. I know many people have moved to Facebook but it really is different from when the wait time was shorter. Your Suji is very cute.

I understand. The market is not good as it was before. Here it is so much safer, though. I used to see lots of Lati dolls being sold and they went so quickly, but now there are too many dolls, I think. Also the what-must-not-be-named dolls, I think they are spoiling the hobby a little bit

Thank you, I love her very much. I always loved Suji and I like the orangey tone of the recent tan girls - though I prefer the light tan of some other releases. She is much cuter than I thought she was, and she is much more beautiful, my poor pictures do not do justice to her beauty.

 

So I couldn't resist the new Jia LOL It's the one Lati sculpt that just did not let me go from it's clutches and I had to have one. Even if that day is far into the future considering Lati's wait times My kinda panicky question is...what version body do y'all favour? I've only got a TCOB Sunny which I'm guessing is the old version body. I don't have a problem with it at all. Is the new body better? Are the feet bigger? Is the body taller at all?

The secondhand market prices are too high for me.
I have little Jia from master of dragons which i found for a very good price. I'd like a sister for her, fingers crossed i find one i can afford.


When will be the next time to order from Lati?

 

I have many different versions of Lati body. The only problem is that some are more kicky than others, and badly need sueding. Some versions (at least the Halloween dolls from 2010 and the Nutcracker Christmas dolls from 2010) have smaller feet than older and current ones. Otherwise the sizes appear to be the same, I have not noticed that any were taller than others. (The oldest 16 cm Lati I I have is from 2008 and the latest from the 2015 Master of Dragon release).

Sorry to jump in randomly here. I was wondering if anyone else is still waiting for their Cinderella release? I am waiting for Happy and haven't heard a thing about her yet. Anyone else received their Cinderella release dolls yet? I know there are some adorable Jia's that have gotten home but I haven't seen any Happy's yet. Still waiting...... where's the new emoji when you need it

 

I haven't ordered from Lati in a long time. My last order with them I believe was panda Belle. I just don't like waiting so long for my dolls . I wouldn't mind a few months, even 5 months, but I don't like having that amount of money tied up for a year. I've been trying to give my Lati Yellows more attention but I believe the current wait times are turning me against Lati.

Are there any Lati Facebook groups? (Besides Lati's official page that is!) I searched and can't seem to find any. I'm hoping seeing new pictures and getting back into the community might make me closer to my dolls again.

I'm with you, my Lati enthusiasm has gone, partly due to the long waits and poor customer service and partly due to the flaking faceups, my Panda Belle is shedding her faceup now I'm not sending her back to Lati as the same is likely to happen again, she'll either have to stay flaky or get a new faceup.

 

I never thought I'd say it, but my Lati enthusiasm has gone way down, too. I've been waiting more than nine months now for a BASIC. Sigh. I would have expected that for a limited doll (even though it's tiresome), but a basic? My Haru also has the white patches on her face that lead to flaking, and I LOVE her faceup. Just too sad.

Sorry, babyelf, don't want to rain on your excitement. S.Belle is lovely (I definitely want one!), and I hope you don't have to wait too long for her.

For me it's also gone. In 3 weeks I'll be waiting 1 year for my order. After several email in which Lati told me they will ship soon still no shipping notice. I wish I could cancel all my orders. It's been so long I keep forgetting what I ordered. There will be no Lati dolls for me anymore. It's sad but I am done.

 

I also don't want to buy as much from Lati, I didn't stop buying yet just ordering less and less now. I just recently ordered two from the white line size. In total waiting for 3 lati dolls. I am saying 1 yr wait so I don't get disappointed waiting when I order them. Also my very first tiny size doll was bought years ago from Lati so I am having hard time letting Lati go. Tried selling all my Lati at one time then I bought some new sculpt because I can't resist...it's a cycle so now I know I can't let go completely. I have more lati white now since I sold a lot of lati yellow.

Another factor is I am seeing way too many bjd companies and they all beginning to look the same to me , so it has to be a face sculpt I really want and the company have to make a big impact to me before I buy any bjds again. I don't even know half of the company names now LOL. Out of touch and way too many bjds to collect. I am still surprise that I am still collecting bjds.

 

I'm glad I'm not the only one with little enthusiasm for Lati lately. I also have way too many, in my opinion . I have decided to downsize my Latis and keep only the ones I absolutely LOVE, and I do have a few I could never see myself parting with unless I had no choice.

I still love the look of Lati Yellows, and I love their little bodies. If Latidoll would up their game and at least offer quality dolls / faceups then the wait might be worth it.

@kayjay Thank you for the info!! I will join those groups on Facebook I'm so sorry to hear your Panda Belle is having sealant issues!! My Panda Belle is probably my favorite Lati fullset I own and I have been lucky with mine so far. I've been fortunate enough to never have sealant problems on any of my Lati dolls. I guess it would just be a matter of time if I were to continue ordering from them!
