Like Sentimentalsquirrel and Peachink, I too just ordered my first Lati. I rushed to order Jia as if there was only one available，even though i knew that I didn't have to. Now I'm probably going to drive myself crazy waiting for her.

 

Congrats Jaded1, Jia is so pretty, I'm sure you'll love her, Latidolls are so special irl. I try and put the order out of my mind for 4 or 5 months - Lati teach you patience!! I have asked them if they have caught up with orders a bit and they replied that they had, and these dolls should ship after 65 working days, from close of order. Whilst I love Lati's optimism, I will believe that when I see it

Oh wow! That's pretty darn optimistic!! I saw a post (can't remember who it was) where someone said their LOL order had shipped so I'm sure Lati is catching up but we haven't seen many GoH Sissis yet!

and kayjay yes we do have Lati-itis! haha! I now have 1 Lati White and 6 Lati Yellows in my possession. I feel horrible because I haven't been able to photograph all of my dollies yet but I've been sooooo busy lately! And now with a week until Christmas I really am super busy- it's so stressful! My hubby and I are building our daughter (5) an American Girl dollhouse for Christmas and it's taking FOREVER! The finished project is over 6 ft tall x 8 ft wide! The dolls themselves are 18" tall so you can imagine how large the rooms have to be LOL! Once we are finished with that I'll have spare time to devote to my dollies

 

thats very optimistic indeed. Makes me want to order more dolls. Let's hope that it is possible))

Been a while !
I had to come here to vent my utter confusion on what to order from this new gorgeous release...
Ohhh man... This is me trying to narrow it down to just one even though I'm tempted by every single one of them !! Well done Lati !!!


Firstly - I've been waiting for dinosaur years for a pink skin lati and had my mind made up for a pink cookie - alas it's a pink sophie... which isn't too bad...
-except for I can't help but be so put off by her eyes this time around !! No matter which angle I look at lati's photos... she looks so glum and droopy because of the eye faceup detail and positioning of the eyeballs. Ughhh ! She literally looks like this emoji haha - please may I request some Sophie spam for this weekend ?!!? As we all know, owners photos always look soo different to lati's ! - I want to be swayed - because the colourful skin tones are soo pretty but I don't know if I should just hold out for my dream pink cookie one day whilst I also don't want to pass up on a potential cutie if I can simply re-adjust her eyes and give her a different wig etc ! The thing is Sophie's eyes do not seem to look like that in the other releases... i.e the latest halloween one or the Pharaoh one.

Secondly, Gia is sneaking her way into my heart pretty fast ever since the halloween release and I ordered her right away - this time, she's doing it again and I adore her faceup so much - she looks freaking ADORABLE - But perhaps it's just because I love her sculpt... would she be a bad choice If I'm already going to have her in the brown tan halloween version ??? Plus they both have green eyes ! (But she just looks so different to all of the other lati dollls I have......!)

Thirdly - wooooow @ S.Belle !! Is there a slight hint of yellow eyeshadow under her eyes which matches her outfit !? She looks sooo scrumptious !!!
But I agree with all of you - a tan option would be soo cute and I also kinda wish that SHE was the one in Pink skin !!! Still love her though... hehehe

So I'm in a puzzle over who to choose since my other half wants to get one for me as a gift.
What do you lovelies think of the eye issue with Sophie ?? And the two versions of Gia ??
If you had to choose between Sophie and Gia ??
(I think I can give S.Belle a miss since she isn't available as a tan or pink option.. the faceup is waaay too cute though)

To top it off, Lati just had to pick dessert themes this month hahaha (look at my username, do I look like I can resist...) !! Congrats to everyone whom was able to make up their minds and have already placed their orders !

 

Heartshapesugarcake, congratulations on ordering Jia! I feel the same as you about this release! I love all the dolls! Jia and mystic Bayer captured my heart the moment I saw them so I am going to order them. I was dreaming for a pink Lati for a long time too but this pink Sophie does not melt my heart as much as Jia and Bayer. I was not sure why, because I love Sophie sculpt and her faceup is lovely. I think it's her eyes that makes her not so attractive to me. Thank you for pointing this! I think she might look much better with different eyes. I wish I could get Sophie, but I already need three dolls (Jia and both tan Bayers) and I am not sure if I can afford one more doll.
Like you, I love Jia sculpt. I already ordered brown tan Jia, but I just can not resist charms of this newest Jia. She looks amazing in orange wig and looks so different than my other dolls.
I like S. Belle too but it is easy to resit because she is normal skin. I am sure she will be released in tan and maybe in other colours and will look even better.
I'm comparing Jia and Sophie and thinking that maybe I should order Sophie but I still like Jia better.

 

I feel your pain, Heartshapesugarcake, I love them all too. If the S.Belle was tan, I'd have grabbed her but I think they'll release her in tan in the future. They are probably less likely to release a pink Sophie again, and I think she's lovely. I don't think Sophie is a particularly sad sculpt, but I can see what you mean on these photos. I'm sure with a change of eyes (or even a new faceup) she'll look 'happier'. Good luck deciding. I decided quickly, I knew I was going for Lumi as she's always been one of my favourite sculpts but when I clicked on the Benny pics, I gasped out loud as the faceup is so beautiful. I think it would work for a boy or girl, but it may be I keep him as a him, and invest in a few cute boy clothes. We'll see when s/he arrives home.

I can’t believe I just broke down and ordered a strawberry Sophie . . . I so don’t have money for her, and I was planning on saving up for the Iplehouse Lonnie and Multihead Bonnie I’ve been wanting forever . . . But, ugh, Sophie! She’s just so pretty! And I got an ice-blue marshmallow pet with her, too . . . I hope there will be people wanting the Luna head, so I can sell her and not feel QUITE as guilty for giving Lati all my money—again, haha.


I think it’s so cool, though, that there are so many first-time Lati buyers this time! You will be SO happy and SO sorry you made the plunge.


Also, kayjay, your Lea is so pretty in that wig and outfit. Love her little side glance. If she’s a Nutcracker Lea, then I just adopted one of her sisters. (Talk about buying too many Latis!!) Merry Christmas, little Lea!

heartshapesugarcake - if I were you and had to choose between the pink Sophie and the tan Jia, I would order Sophie in pink skin. Firstly, because you want a pink dollie. Secondly, you already ordered Jia in brown tan. But if you doubt about the Sophie's eyes (honestly I'm thinking it is her face up that makes her look like this, Lati used the same eyes for the LoL Sophie and she looks different) and you're absolutely in love with the light tan Jia, I think it's better to order the tan Jia. Her face up is really beautiful and you won't regret ordering her.

I haven't placed my order yet as I keep thinking whether to order a tan Lumi or Jia... I think Lumi in tan isn't released too often and maybe Jia being a new mold and quite popular will be released again next year, but I really love the Jia's face up! Why is it so difficult to decide?

 

Ayla160, oh ppl are week when it's about Lati)) I think I'm gonna broke and order pinky Sophie too. I still haven't done it yet though))) can't believe I'm that strong. Loool

I love Luna, I think she is gonna be very pretty once the other eye is open. I'm planing to open it for mine... I also ordered a body for her. She is cute when she winks but I miss the other eye )

heartshapesugarcake, I think you should go for pink Sophie not only coz u just placed order for brown tan Jia (who is also super cute) but pink doll was your dream. There gonna be no pink dolls after this and you can always change make up if that's what makes u hesitate

Pinkpanther, I also think Jia is gonna be back soon and gonna become one of the most popular molds. She is just too pretty ))

 

Thank you, Lea is my favourite sculpt too, I know some people think she's a bit grumpy, but I love her little pout. Lea was my first Lati (my avatar) and I now have three!

 

​heartshapesugarcake I absolutely love Jia, and she is my must have, but pink skin seems like it will be rare. so if you have been waiting for a pink skin roll then maybe you should get the Sophie? Who knows when the pink option will be out again.

Thank you ! - The halloween release was a hard choice also since Sophie was looking soo cute ! But I went for Jia because after receiving my choco fairy (brown tan version), I just had to bring her home to have fun with customising her look - especially as her facial features are just so distinctive so it'd be super fun to see her in person ! Like you, I love Bayer also (the full set looks so angelic) !! She's my second favourite sculpt (cookie is my first hehe) and then Lea !
So glad that you can see what I mean about the faceup - I thought it was just me - but after comparing it to the other versions of sophies released so far, the eyes aren't open wide like the rest of them, or rather, this faceup just makes it appear that way ! Ahhh it's so hard to pick just one, isn't it ?!?! And then there's tan Bayer as well..... Lati went for all the good ones in one go with so many cool options !
I have a custom girl by Andreja who has similar eyes but her faceup is much bolder in colours and I love her - so I was trying to weigh up the possibilities still... back and forth - back and forth lol I had to take a break and go out !

Oh my goodness - A tan belle, hands down, would be in my cart because her cheeks are so cute - and her eyebrows - and her prettiest colour-coordinated outfit ! Sophie doesn't look as sad in the other releases.. I think it's the way they've added creases to her top eye lids and positioning of her eye balls - you're right - with a little fix here and there, perhaps she'd look a little less glum / spaced out.. I've yet to order a Sophie sculpt and I don't want to feel disappointed upon her arrival - especially as she'll be a part of my christmas gift from my other half to me.
Ahhh Lumi is so gorgeous in both tan versions (These are so my favourite versions of her so far)... did you order her too or just Benny alone ? The Benny sculpt does look quite boyish - I'm excited for you / to know which it'll be ! Boy clothes are soo cute, especially teeny little jeans ! ^___^

It is soo hard !! Lati have made sure to appeal to everyone's tastes in some way !
I want to collect all of the colourful pastel toned skins after receiving my pretty little pastel blue Haru from the The Sacred Goblet release and falling in love ! Tan Gia is soo pretty and just calling out to me but I'm think about how much I'm looking forward to dressing up and styling the Halloween Jia - I won't be super disappointed(hopefully) to miss out on her this time around since I will be getting her anyway, in a slightly different skintone. But Pink Sophie has been tempting me more and more as you ladies have pointed out that she'd be much harder to find should I regret not ordering her.. and who knows when they'll release another pink lati hahaha (but if it's a cookie, I'll be the first to order, wink wink lati hahah !!)

So true - a change of makeup is a good option !! I'm going to look out for some pretty eyes and candy coloured wigs to compliment her icing pink skin tone ! Are you going to place your order soon too ??

I ordered the adorable little marshmallow also - their butts have bunny tails !? Also - Please tell me that you didn't need to place the Winking face head in the cart too ?? I went to the page but it said "sold out" however the option to add a faceup for her was there when ordering Sophie and I paid for it... (Really love Luna's cat eyeliner !!)

 

I am randomly jumping in here! It's been ages since a new Lati release has really caught my eye. Usually I am safe to just admire them from afar, but I completely adore pink Sophie! I think I need her! Can anyone give me an idea of Lati's wait times these days? Are they crazy long?

According the last large relise (legend of Lati) the waitng time is near 7-8 months. And I am also thinking about Pink Sophie.

Congratulations on ordering Pink Sophie. I'm still not sure if I should order pink Sophie to or not. I'm completely in love with light tan Jia even though I have Halloween Jia on it's way too. I adore Lumi. I have been waiting my perfect Lumi for so long I think I will order her in light tan. I love the way her red lips look on the light tan when Lati has always used orange. And then there is Bayer. Again I'm in love with both mystic and oe. Including Sophie it would make 5 dolls. I'm not sure I should go that far and wait for an other pink resin release.

ms.plum Just to be save I would go on 9 months waiting time. I'm not sure if the Gems of Heaven have finished shipping yet. My friends Sissi is on it's way and she waited 9 months. Lati has just begun to ship the Legend of LatiLand dolls when they fish it probably will be 9 months to.

Ms.Plum - Lati have been trying to catch up by releasing fewer orders and making them more limited. I asked them and they are hopeful this release won't be as long a wait as they have been recently.

 

I am still waiting for my LOL release girls (a tan sophie and mystic head, and a belle with dragon legs).. but I ordered from the new release too @_@
I got a Jia (and twin bayers) ~ Jia's just soo adorable XD

 

LOL That's what Lati said when releasing the gems of heaven dolls. " Limiting the dolls will shorten the waiting time" . There where only 10 dark tan Sissi's available but still the wait was nine months. But I'm hopeful to some day Lati will catch up.

Question, I ordered on the 19th from Lati, am I supposed to receive an order confirmation e-mail from them? I didn't receive one, but I do have a Paypal receipt of payment.

 

I have never received an email confirmation from Lati, don't worry. If you check the 'orderlist' section you can see if they've confirmed the order and if not, drop them a message asking them to do so (I will need to as my order hasn't been confirmed yet). They're not the best organisers in the world

 

I have always received an order confirmation from Lati. When I ordered from the Peter Pan release, it took Lati 4 days to confirm my order. The other time it took them only a few hours. So maybe wait until tomorrow and if there's still no confirmation, then contact them

 

Thank you Kayjay and PinkPanther for your help. I checked the site and it still says "confirming order". I see on the Q&A board multiple messages asking Lati about this. Glad to see I am not the only one, I was starting to worry.

 

Jaded1 I always have to ask on the Q&A board for them to promptly update the order status. I haven't gotten an email with confirmation a very, very long time so I'm not sure they do that anymore. Kind of miss when they emailed you with a tracking/shipping notice too, I was taken by surprise today to see my Legend of Latiland Pero is on her way. So so excited for her!!

It's been exactly seven years since I pre-ordered my first Lati Yellow and got into BJDs with the 2007 winter tan release. So crazy how time flies! It's wonderful to see how many sculpts have been added since then and all of the beautiful collections that have come out through the years.

One of my goals for 2015 is to get better at photography so I made a lightbox to start on this aspiration, I love it already! Sisterly winter tan trio Story, Spirit, and Sumie are the first to test it out to celebrate our seven years of LatiDoll.

Thank you . I have to compare them since my dolls stay at another place, I just received her and only after Christmas I'll be able to take pictures. I plan to take pictures of them together and next to fairyland and rosen lied tan, and perhaps iplehouse brown, though my iple dolls in this color are old (the others are pretty new).

So my Lati order went from "confirming order" to "preparing items" whatever that means, so I guess it's alright...

I want to add the wig to my Pumpkin Muffin Jia (I originally ordered her bald), but I'm wondering, is it worth it? It's a great shade of orange, but wouldn't it stain her head and skin? I like to display my dolls fully dressed, as I don't see the point of buying wigs and clothes just to take a picture or two and then put the items away again. I don't want her to spend the bulk of her time bald, naked, and in the box. So is it worth it to get the wig? Or should I just stick to lighter shades? I don't know how Lati's products are.

Jaded1 ~ Not sure if this color would stain a dolls head but I know that the darker colors of latis wigs like brown and black do. Maybe you should look for Formydoll wigs (formydoll.com) for your girl, none of their wigs stain when worn a long time, not even black does. My Lea wears an almost black wig made by formydoll and she always wears it - no problem at all.

 

​Felka Really? Thanks so much, Felka! I ordered a reddish wig a week or so ago for my Pukifee, but haven't received it yet. I'm so glad to know that it shouldn't give me any problems. And now I'll have even more excuses to go shopping on that site.

 

For wig staining, it's generally not the colour of the wig fibres themselves that stain the head, but the colour of the wig cap the wig is made on that does the staining. I had a red wig that stained a doll I had very badly with black stains because the wig cap was black, and have had blonde wigs with black wig caps as well that I refused to let stay on a doll for long periods of time because of that.

 

She’s heeeeerrrrreeeeee, Thistle, aka Legend of Latiland Hani!!!! Yay! I took a few pictures of her right after deboxing her and they were all terrible (bad lighting and shaking hands), but she’s so sweet and pretty in real life! I was a little dismayed because her head was wobbly at first, but then when her head came off completely (gasp) I realized why—the little ring hadn’t been turned the right way. Thankfully, I fitted it into place and she was fine after that. J I put Lettie, my basic Sunny, next to her for the picture to show the difference in skin color. Sunny has the “yellow” skin—Hani has the new “pinker” tone. Awww, thanks for posting it for me! You know, I finally figured out the bbcode thing, but now I can't insert images or emoticons or anything--it's some technical problem I need to fix--so I really appreciate your help. Thank you about Hani, too! The new resin color is still light but definitely not as yellow.

Jaded1 It may be worth asking LatiDoll if the wig cap to Jia's orange wig is made of a black fabric or a lighter color. From my experiences, LatiDoll has used a black fabric for the wig cap when the hair is red, brown, or black. I'm not sure about orange though. The wig cap is what stains the doll and black cap Lati wigs IMO stain worse than other wigs with the black cap.

For the order status, it'll sit at "Preparing Items" on your order list until it's updated with "Shipped" Before you know it, your little one will be at home

Ayla160 She's amazing! I love her sculpt, faceup, and everything about her, congratulations on her arrival! I also love the new pinky normal skintone, it won't get confused with white skin anymore for sure. So glad Lati listened to us and adjusted the resin's color. And so lovely to see Lettie with her new sister!
