PinkPanther I have also waited for a tan Lumi a really long time. And this one is just perfect. Choosing which tan to order is going to be really hard.

Not just first days... Everyone who will Order LY during the release will get a head. That's what lati said in it's note. Am I wrong?)

 

PumaNoire Here are the URLs from LatiDoll, love playing around with the URLs every release to sate my anticipation over the collection These are found by changing the number at the end of an older sales URL to a more recent one until you find the new release. Lati usually doesn't publish these URLs on the site until the day or night of, but they seem to be doing it early this time.

No, only people who will order LY from 19th till 31st December will receive Luna head, but this period might be shortened if a lot of people will place orders. The ordering period for limited dolls is till 12th January, so people who will order dolls next year will not get the Luna head.

Lilanie, I understand what you mean with pink Sophie. I wish her pink colour was darker. But all Lati's light fantasy colours are very light. This light pink skin colour looks almost like normal skin colour of other companies. I hope I will change my mind when I will see more photos.

Now I just have to decide whether I want Lumi in tan or brown tan!!!! If Sophie was a darker pink I'd be in trouble... I guess we will see when they post more pictures

ETA : oh no no, another limited release that I love all the dolls, especially the tiny one and the dark tan Lumi...

 

I like them all too, Lati have done a great edition. The S.Belle is adorable however her resin colour still looks yellowy rather than a 'new normal' Lati said they'd offer? What does everyone else think?

 

She may look yellow because of the outfit and wig? Don't know... I kind of like the yellow normal skin, no problem with that, but it would be nice to have a less yellow ns since so many people dislike it, I even asked Lati about it.

They could add a "exchange to tan skin" option! We should ask them!

 

She would be adorable in tan. I actually don't like 'pink' skin, preferring a pale normal, but the normal got too yellow even for me. They will yellow naturally anyway, they really don't need to start yellow!

 

Be-Life, where shall we ask them about the tan option for Belle? I will ask tooooo

 

Omg—omg—coming out of lurking to say LOL has started to ship! I was obsessively checking again this morning, thinking of course that there would be nothing, and my Hani has shipped! The tracking doesn’t work, it just takes me to my order details, but—still shipped! I’m stunned . . .

 

Yes, the normal skin looks still yellowy but also has a little bit pink. I definitely see the difference but I wish they used less yellow. I don't understand why Lati likes yellow resin colour so much, it yellows over time anyway.

 

Exactly my thoughts. I'm a little sad that it's just so...skin-like (at least compared to other companies).

It's really easy, and asking wouldn't hurt, as a friend of mine says, we already have a "no"... You must login and then ask them politely (like Pleeeeeeeaaaase) if there's a possibilty of tan s. belle, on their Q/A board.

I agree, I think it is the outfit and props that are making her look like that, since the winking doll doesn't appear to be as yellow. But adding an exchange to tan skin option for all of the dolls is great idea. I wish they would do it.

 

Lisca, it is very likely that S. Belle will be available as a basic doll in the future. Probably after the next limited release.

 

Ugh, Lati, why are you doing this to me? The S.Belle is gorgeous, and if I didn't already have my heart set on the tan Jia then I would get her. Too bad I can't afford both.

 

Hm, the new Limiteds are awesome, but unfortunately there is no must have for me. Pink skin Sophie is cute, but I already ordered my grail version of her, the LOL Sophie elf. I'm a little bit sad that Hani or Mani is not included in this release. I have to order a Hani Basic in WS soon. Can't wait for the incoming owner pics of her.

 

Great news! Congratulations! My Dark Tan Sissi Fullset hasn't been shipped yet I hope you will share fotos of Sissi, I think it could help us to make a decision:[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif] Dark tan Lumi or Light tan[/FONT]

 

That's exactly what I'm hoping to be able to purchase! I have to butter my hubby up for the tan Bayer though... I've just spent TOO MUCH money on others for Christmas I'm going broke! LOL!

For once, I'm not in love with the full set. But I like her wig, and her pumpkin spork is cute, haha.

 

I've been away from the hobby for a while now, but I had to come out of hiding to say that Jia is so pretty!

Hi hi! I'm new to this thread and BJDs and I was hoping to get my first lati y/bjd this release. Do you guys think Sophie is a good one to start with? I love pink but I was thinking the tan would be cute too but I figured I can always go for a tan during a later release? What are your opinions please? ^^ I also found jia and lumi adorable too

 

Peachink, welcome to DoA and this thread! The pink Sophie is a perfect doll to start with. I don't think Lati will release a pink Sophie again, and she is adorable in pink! If I wouldn't love Jia so much, I would get a pink Sophie too.

The brown tan Lumi costs 20$ more but I think she looks much better in chocolate tan. It's the first time that brown tan skin doll costs more than tan skin doll. I think Lumi looks amazing in brown tan, it's the most beautiful Lumi I've ever seen.

 

I'm so torn still!! Brown Tan Lumi is the first brown tan skin doll that I actually like. I don't know if I should buy her in brown tan or light tan. I'm afraid I won't like the dark tan resin color in person

Opinions please from those who have seen the brown tan resin in person? Is it "too" dark? From the pictures I've seen, I think the LW Haru is just too dark in the brown tan skin. I'm thinking it's the faceup that makes his skin look too dark to me...

 

Spoiledshells, I have a dark tan Haru and I love her resin colour. The colour is not too dark. It looks darker in most photos I've seen so far. At least the colour is not too dark for taking photos.

 

Spoiledshells - I'm the same as you, I'm pretty sure I'll order Lumi but not sure which tan I like best, both are beautiful on the photos. I look at the dark brown skin and think, that's the one, and then I look at the lighter tan and change my mind!

kayjay I keep looking at the photos of both colors and I keep thinking the brown tan just fits with the fullset so perfectly! Now if I would keep her in the fullset dress the brown tan is a MUST! I'm not sure if she will stay that way though! I change my dolls clothes, wigs and eyes too frequently LOL!

This is a very tough choice!!!

Oh and now my hubby is saying I can get a 2nd doll! Now I have to choose between a tan LW Bayer or the pink Sophie! There are too many beautiful dolls (AND fullsets) in this release!

 

Don't know if these is old news but Lati confirmed to me that S. Belle will be available as basic in the future! That's great news, especially for people who like white skin and different face-ups (we can buy her blank). Sadly they'll not add tan option for her this time. Maybe it's better since I already want five dolls

I think Lumi is amazing this time, in both tans because of her face-up, it's truly beautiful. At the moment I have only dark brown Lati white Haru, and I love her/him so much. Yes, it's darker than we're all accostumed to, I'll try to take pictures of him next to other companies tan (like fairyland, just received two dolls from them, and Rosen Lied, for example). I took some pics of dark Haru next to other white lati doll, they're on my Flickr. It's a truly beautiful color.

That's good news that S.Belle will be available as a basic. She's lovely, but I'm not sure the limited faceup is special enough to warrant buying the normal skin, when we can wait for the basic to be released. I think I'll wait for a future light tan version of her.

 

I'm glad S.Belle isn't available in tan this release (and I'm sure she would look so cute in tan) as I'm already in love with 3 dolls from this gorgeous release

 

I need to stop looking at the photos!! Each time I look, I want more and more! I would love to be able to purchase fullset dark brown Lumi, fullset pink Sophie, fullset tan OE LW Bayer, both marshmallow people, AND a body for winking Luna. Unfortunately, I don't think my wallet could handle all of that this close to Christmas!

 

And mine! She is adorable, especially in the picture with the LW. I want her wig as well, but I may have to wait on that. I still have too many Christmas presents I need to get and something from the Fairyland event. So I have to pinch pennies wherever I can.

 

The tan Benny is beautiful too... help!!! I'm going to sleep on them and make my decision on who to order tomorrow or Saturday.

Pink Sophie is going to be my first lati. I know if I don't get her I will regret it and then be searching for her forever not sure how I will be able to wait until she arrives I'll be so excited.

 

Congratulations on ordering your first Lati! I think the pink Sophie is my favorite version of her, and I used to be a huge fan of the tan Pharaoh's Curse version. I think the pink skin is really pretty. Hopefully it looks just as good (if not better) in person!

Sentimentalsquirrel and Peachink - Congrats on ordering your first Lati (be warned they are very addictive!!). I think pink Sophie will be very special and very hard to find on the secondary market, she's a great choice.

We do don't we?!!! I actually gasped out loud when I saw Benny, his/her faceup is just beautiful. I'm wondering if I can swing both, I've never ordered more than one doll before, as I don't like giving any one company too much money at a time in case they go bust, but this edition is so beautiful. I do have several dolls waiting in boxes to be sold in the New Year, so could pay back dolly money then.

Edited: Dolls ordered: Brown Lumi, Tan Benny, Tan OE Bayer (and Tan Mystic Bayer for a friend) - my biggest ever Lati order, I feel a bit faint! I haven't ordered outfits - which although beautiful and I love them - I do feel are expensive, but I did add wigs on (can you have too many wigs?!!).

 

I had a question about the lati sales events since I haven't previously taken part in one.. do they "sell out" at any time during the event? Or are you able to order any one as long as the event period is active? ><

 

They are usually available for the whole event, and the order in which orders are placed don't seem to correspond to shipping order, so it doesn't matter if you order on the first day or last day. However Lati have said in their notice: "When the amount of orders is overwhelming, we are afraid the event can be closed earlier than the schedule". I'm not sure if this applies to the event gift head, Luna, only, or to the main dolls, you might want to check with Lati if you have to leave your order until later.

 

The dolls don't sell out during the event period, they are available until the last minute. Sometimes the events are open even a few days longer.

Aw, Sentimentalsquirrel and Peachink, congrats on ordering your first Latis! Pink Sophie is perfect to start with—she’s soooo pretty. If I had the money for this release I’d get her, too, so I’m a little jealous! In my head I keep thinking of her as Strawberry Sophie—strawberry seems the perfect word for her smooth, creamy, light color. (You’d think I wanted to eat her.) I’m also really glad S.Belle will be released as a basic! She’d be my second choice this time, but I agree that it’s more the sculpt than the faceup, etc. She’ll be just as lovely as a basic, I’m sure. Now, the marshmallow pets . . . I’ll admit to wanting some marshmallow pets . . .

 

Hi I'm a newbie and I was wondering if you would answer my newbie question does anybody know what the "s" in s.belle stands for? Shes not a regular belle she's a special belle a sweetie belle? It bothers me not to know I really like her but I've never wanted a belle before.

O.M.G.!!! I just placed a HUUGE order! lol! I have too much money tied up in Lati's company at the moment but I couldn't resist! I ordered:

~Brown Tan Lumi and her fullset
~Pink Sophie and her fullset
~Tan LW OE Bayer and fullset PLUS the extra outfit for my mini pot Belle
~makeup for Luna's face
~a body for Luna

I may regret the Luna makeup and body but she has grown on me and still does every time I look at her pictures. I really wish there was an option to buy her wig without buying her fullset but oh well! I think I spent enough anyway!
