Don't forget, the "wait" count doesn't start until the end of the order period for a doll. So for example I ordered my Monster House Kuroo on October 2, 2013. The order period was September 27-October 18th, so the count would start on the first business day after the 18th. The 16 days between the 2nd and 18th don't count.

I seem to remember it was something like 10 business days late got you 5% points, 20 business days late was 10% and anything over 30 business days was 15%? I know I am definitely at 15% points for my Kuroo but I think my basics are from the same basic order as yours and I am still trying to figure out when the 15% points are for those.

 

I found the points policy. I also counted may 26 but Lati doesn't count their holidays. They will be on holiday from the 1st till the 6th of may so we should ad 6 day to it plus the holidays I did not include. I think we can ask for 15% from the second week of june.

The bonus point policy for delays will be changed from our next release, the Wizard of Oz. The policy will be as follows.

Delay for 1 to 15 days: 5% refund points
Delay for 16 to 30 days: 10% refund points
Delay for 31 days and over: 15% refund points

Which order do you think is the second week of June for 15% points? Beauty and the Beast? The basics from Jan/Feb? The Chocola White Harus?

I'm just curious since I am waiting for Monster House, 2 basics from Jan/Feb and a Chocola White Haru and at this point I've just given up on any of my dolls ever being done in their allotted time period.

 

Oh sorry I forgot. The second week of june late points would be for the beauty and the beast dolls.

Lati is soooo late for the Monster House dolls. If you haven't already ask for 15% points for the Monster House dolls Lati will give it to you.

I'm not sure about the basics I haven't counted those.

It's going to be a really long wait for the Chocola fairies. But you can count 65 working days from the last day of the ordering period and then ad an other 31 working days. This will give you an estimate for when to ask for 15% points.

 

Hi everyone. I got a question I'd like to hear your opinion on. Do you think it's worth it to pay extra for a limited/special edition for only minor differences to the dolls? For example, right now I really want the Bat Children version of Noa. I can understand paying extra on the 2nd hand market for the tan skin version of her, but I also want the normal skin version of her. I saw one for sale a little while ago for $350 which isn't really that bad. But the more I thought about it, the more it seemed better to just get a basic version of her and redo the faceup (Bat version Noa's faceup isn't even really super different). I mean the basics are only $200. Even after shipping I'm still saving around $100. I could buy the basic wig and outfit and still save money.

I guess I'm really debating if I think the tiny teeth are really worth it... I mean that wouldn't exactly be a hard mod to do... Basic Noa is already very cute to begin with even without the teeth. I feel like I get caught up in the hype with the limited releases too much. Does anyone else have this problem?

 

I think it's a personal thing, though it's easy to get caught up in hype, especially when there is a new release. I used to be quick to order (kind of still am... eek!) but I try to evaluate and consider if I really want a doll now or if I'm just being nutty if I have one that is already similar (e.g. how many tan mystic Miels do I need, but I still *wanted* the pharoah version because of the gold eyeliner and probably because it's fun to get something "new" as well. I made the smarter choice (for me) there, but still go "aww geez maybe" when I see one for sale, so far, so good, no caving).

Personally, if I really liked the vampire version, I'd buy her, chances are you'd have to wait a long time for a basic NS/WS Noa anyway. But, that's coming from a Lati addict... haha!! If you like customising your dolls or sending them out, a NS Noa with little teeth would be just as lovely for sure. So I pretty much just danced around an answer, but I think the real answer here is you can't go wrong with a Lati, they're all pretty stinkin' cute!

 

I personally don't feel Lati's faceups are worth the $100 markup for getting a normal or white skin LE doll. LE's for me are only about getting a resin colour you can't order normally. I'd rather order a basic, like I did with the NS Lea basic I am waiting on, and have complete control over the faceup with an artist of my choosing, than pay all that extra for a faceup I'd more than likely be wiping off anyway.

If the Bat Children Noa faceup is what is really selling you on that particular doll, it might be worth it for you. If it's the sculpt you want and you're not in love with the faceup, it might be worth it for you to wait.

I think it depends on how much you want the exact face-up. Are you okay with your custom face-up Noa looking slightly different from the Bat Child Noa? Even a replica never looks exactly like the original and I know this may bother some people. If this is a non-issue, then maybe customizing would be an ideal route. I'm assuming you're customizing Noa yourself but if you were to send her out, the price would most likely even out a bit after shipping back and forth for the custom face-up.

If you're set on wanting the same face-up 100% and would be unhappy to see differences between a custom face-up and the stock one, I'd for sure adopt a Noa on the secondary market from that release. Even then, not all of them are painted exactly the same like all of Lati's releases. I think the biggest varying factors with Bat Child Noa are that some are painted with more bottom eyelashes than others, some people have stated that their Noa's inner mouths are painted differently, and there's varying degrees of the little nose blush; different artists? Bat Noa is one of my favorites, if you couldn't tell..something about those doe eyes and the teethies <.< Shopping on the secondary market allows you to "select" which Bat Noa you want to adopt which is cool.

 

Another thing to always think about is, while you can order from LaTi direct they have incredibly long wait times. At least one person here is waiting for their Olympos doll still and many of us are still waiting for our Monster House dolls which were ordered in October. I ordered 2 blank basics in the last pre-order back in late January/early February and I am not expecting to see those dolls until June if I am lucky!

I've bought a few of the NS LEs from LaTi. Usually it's a combination of liking the mold, liking the default face-up, and wanting the extras that come with the LE version. (So I ordered the Sissi from Olympos even though she is NS because I loved her wig and dress as well as her default face up. )

I like the vampire teeth, and it might just be my perception but I feel like the LaTis with teeth have a slightly different mouth shape because of the teeth., but again it might just be my perception.

Thanks for the responses everyone! I think mostly I just like Noa's mold. I think what I'll do is just hold out for a tan version of Bat Noa if I can find a good price. (I don't know why the little teethies always get me. I mean I already have enough vampire Latis.) That's probably more worth the extra $$ than the NS version. I'll probably still get basic Noa though and do the faceup myself (after practicing on another doll first...). Don't worry, I'm well versed with Lati's wait times! I think my longest wait was either for my vampires from the Bloody Moon release or my basic white Belle which was around 6-7 months.

I haven't been around for some time (years would be a better estimate than months), but I popped in to the latidoll site today for some reason I don't even remember and noticed all the supercute new dollies that have been released since last time I checked. And the new mold Sissi - I don't usually like the new molds as well as the older ones, but she is really something. Is the Gem of Heaven set the only release she has had so far? I couldn't find her in any of the older releases?

And I don't now if anyone here even remembers Teddie, but she got her first photoshoot in over a year today so I thought it was about time to share some pictures of her again

Thanks for the points info, everyone! I feel much better knowing--now if I can manage to count days I won't have to constantly bug everyone here about "how many points we're up to". Though by the looks of it, everyone wants to know, so I imagine I'll find the numbers here anyway. (Which I don't mind a bit.)

Katrine, Teddie is beautiful, especially her eyes and lips. She just seems to glow in that shot!

 

the way lati has been going lately, it's almost guaranteed that you will get to the 15% before your order ships anyway .... so i have a quick question. will lati give you the points before your order ships? or do you have to wait till you get it (like all the other companies i have bought from) it sounded from some of the discussion like people were using points from orders they hadn't yet received, but i may have misunderstood.

 

auntbear&#8203;, from what I experienced and heard from others lati gives out points before you've received your order and even before they actually shipped it out. You simply have to ask them on their QandA once the 35/65 days are over. You could even ask for 5% right away if you needed points for another order and ask again once it reaches the 10% mark and so on.

 

The crazy situation is that I bought little Belle with points and I'll get points for her!!

 

Actually if you buy a doll with points you won't get points. For example if your order was 300 us and you paid 100 with points you will only get points for the 200 us you actually paid for. If you paid your complete order with points you won't get any points. Sorry about that I do wish it was different.

 

did you buy her completely with points? or points plus cash?

I spent nearly 200 points on my dark tan Sissi, otherwise I had not been able to afford her. That won't give me much points then...

 

Juhuuu . I got my Sunny today, finally! I'm so happy she is here after waiting so long. I got a bunch of pics on my flickr, but here's one showing my two girls with the final wig choices . My Hella (Coco) is so happy to finally have a Lati friend . But I so need to buy my girls some more clothes. Now if only my Monster House Sophie could be here soon, sigh.

That makes sense, I was worried it was a stupid business model I think I paid with some points, some cash. But I'm not intending to order from Lati again in the near future so I used all the points I had. I have 5 beautiful Lati Yellow and one Sp and unless they catch up with orders and bring out a doll I simply can't live without then I'm happy with the ones I have.

 

ayla:thank you! Yes, I love those eyes as well - they are ED eyes, which is by far the most beautiful doll eyes I've had! I adore her lips as well - she was customized to look like winter lea, but with the blush of sheep lea, but the lips - I'm not quite sure where they came from, but I love them

Lisaastrup, I am afraid it is not allowed to write here about selling dolls, it would be safer to delete your message. I think you should look at some LY SP sales threads to get an impression about the prices, that's what I would do
