Kayjay, when did you buy your ws Lea? Was it recently or is she older? She is beautiful & I love her outfit!

 

Thanks! I adopted her from someone on DoA a couple of months ago, I don't think she'd had her long so she's probably 2009. Her outfit is by Mimisstuff, a present for my birthday (I'm sooo lucky!!)

 

Happy Birthday or belated birthday Kayjay! Does Mimisstuff have a website?
Sometimes I think its always a surprise as to what we will get from Lati, have a feeling the tan vamps will have a wonderful color.
Hope those pirates ship in July after Elena & Zorro!

So has everyone made up their minds on Vampires or are some people still trying to work out who to order?
I am happy with my one Lea but I must admit I keep going back to look at Miel.

 

Whilst I'm trying to decide whether or not to order a vampire, I took my Aabie, Meridian, out for a photoshoot:



I must say, she's making a VERY compelling argument to buy another limited. I mean, look at that face! Lati does some quality work with their Limiteds (in fact, that's all I buy from Lati). It'd be Mystic Miel for me. I think. That OE head is tempting, though...

I'm all set, changed my mind quite a bit with these! Besides ordering the dolls I also ordered 2 accessories for them, wanted a bat cane with gloves & skull cane with gloves, Lati yellow undies set, 14mm green glass eyes, a $50 gift bag. I didn't order any wigs or outfits. I bought a new ns body for my oe ns Lea head. I combined both of my orders. Hopefully Lati will confirm my 2nd order tonight, I know they are super busy with this event. I wonder what will be in the gift bag, if the items are just leftover items they have in stock or something special for the HK event? Did anybody ask them about that?

 

Matera, how did you decide on mystic Miel, instead of oe Miel? Curious.

 

Hi Dollightful, congrats on your Elena shipping soon! I bet you can't wait to get her.
With mystic Miel I kept looking at photos on flickr of the first vampire tan mystic Miel, knew that he was a very
special doll & he really grew on me. I like the oe too but didn't order the extra head because I had no way to
get a body, the same with tan oe Lea. I would like an oe Miel one day but one in ns. A 2 fanged vampire was
also on my list & I liked Miel better than the other ones with 2 fangs.
I forgot to order the green fairy outfit that I wanted but I plan on ordering a basic Cookie with faceup when Lati
opens ordering for them on July 5th, I'll get the outfit then if its still in stock.
Are you trying to decide between oe & mystic Miel? Go to flickr & look at the photos, there's so many of them.

I wasn't going to order at all until they put up mystic miel. He's lovely but I'm scared he'll be too orange or horribly sanded! Think I still have some time to decide... don't want to leave it too long though.

Im really excited about the locking magnet hands. Claire's hands are always falling off >_<

Im 16 weeks right now, and Ill be nearly 17 weeks when we go on Friday. I talked to quit a few people before I booked the ultrasound and a lot of them said the found out the sex at around 17 weeks with a regular 2D ultrasound, and I booked a 4D so I am really praying we get a good shot!

We are going to Toronto, Ontario. We are visiting friends there so they are gonna show us around! We are going to stay for about 2 weeks so we will be doing tons! My husband is taking a hair class (he is a hairstylist) while we are up there for 5 of the days so I get to have some girl-time too! We are going to see Eclipse on the 1st, Im super excited about that, haha!

I think I will take a look at Flikr. I know mystic is more rare, but I really think I like the oe one. I am a bit on the fence.
Isn't the top of the eye more curvy in this HK vampire mystic version? Not sure I like as much or it may be the face up.
Other mystic Miels are gorgeous. This one is probably too, but I don't see it as much in those photos, I think.

I did not know my Elena was shipping soon? I don't think mine is. I combined her shipping with my pirate Belle. I saved money this time, so I will have a longer wait.

 

Dollightful, I forgot that you did a combine ship but you never know, you may be the first one to get a pirate delivered!
I think its the painting around the eyes that makes the new vampire Miel's mystic eyes look more curved, I wish Lati would
have cut Cookie's mystic eyes like Miel's, I would have bought a mystic Cookie if they had.
I like to combine ship when I can, it does save money.

 

Matera, that would be so nice, to see the dolls sooner then later. Combined shipping really helps sometimes.
The good news is that I can get the money fronted to get one doll, no extra head. The bad news is that if I do choose to use that money, I really have to sell dolls to pay it back. Ack! Can I really do it? As the world turns... lol ... I think we all know.

I've loved Coco ever since I realized she looked so much like a baby Petite Ai Yuriel. Hopefully she'll finally get some attention for the 5th anniversary in the Fall. One of these days I'll get Momo and Benny boys-- I've got the boy clothes, but not the boys!

But my absolute favorite is Lea. I was doomed when I first looked at her years ago and went-- 'Baby Uriel?!'

 

Lati's 5th anniversary is in the fall? That means the next special ordering in what October(?)will contain some very special dolls!
I am holding off buying that basic Cookie in July now that I know this & start saving $$$. Thank you thaelia for posting that info.

the price is so good! I hope we are all very happy with our dollies and now to start saving for the 5th anniversary dollies - sounds exciting!

 

Just wondering what skin type everyone is ordering for the new vampires. I ordered an open-eye Belle and Lea and a mystic Lea all in NS. I was debating over this for awhile as my Lumi & Lami are WS and I love them! The pics on Latidoll looked really good and Lea and Belle are NS in them. Hope I haven't made a mistake. What do you all think?

this is my problem too. I love the older versions but can't quite decide on the new ones. Mind you if this fall is going to be their 5th anniversary I might wait and see if Coco puts in an appearance.

Last October for their 4th anniversary, Lati presented us with 2 cool Dragons, 2 new doll scupts never to be used again. I wonder if they will have 2 more new sculpts for this year's anniversary? I really would like to see a doll that has the option to buy a sleeping face, I missed out on the past ones. I also would like to see another Elf edition. Whatever Lati has is sure to be wonderful!

I live about an hour away from Toronto in Hamilton, OH And is your husband taking a class at Vidal Sassoon??? My mom actually lives in Silver Spring Maryland and she met her husband in Toronto at a hair dressing course about a decade ago.

Sorry for the ramble, it's just fun coincidences. HAHAH.

Lati replied to me that NS is the same as my Isabella was (ordered November 2009) and she was almost white skin...very pale indeed...

Isabella is the second one from the left. Aabie is almost just as pale by the way.

That is why I chose both my dolls in tan, even though I am not a huge fan of the very warm tan of Cubie, but it seems that that is lati's new tan colour...

Oh, a 5th birthday....that's gonna cost us and make lati rich

 

HAHA! I know!!! My mom and step dad both are hair dressers. My mom has taken a whole wack of the Vidal Sassoon classes, she loves them, but then she loves the Tony and Guy ones in San Fran too. HAHAH.

I still get my mom to cut my hair using the shattering technique she learned at Vidal Sassoon.

You are going to have a fun time in Toronto!! You'll have to take a day to see Niagara Falls too if you've not seen it before.

pandadesign: Thank you for that beautiful pic! I see what you are saying about NS being lighter now. oh, now I'm confused again. I really thought WS for a vampire but I really do love the richness of the make-up against the NS as seen in the pics from Latidoll. I wish they had a pic of each of the vampires in all the skin tones - it would be so much easier to decide.

 

Pandadesign, that is a lovely photo of her Latis, I can see the difference in skin color. Lati has other editions for sale around the time they sell their anniversary dolls, I wonder if they will have any samples of them at the HK show?
I really am curious what the new faceup will be on Momo & Miel, hope Lati posts the new photos soon!

These little vamps have been driving me crazy. I had just talked myself out of them because I had recently ordered two dolls already, and I didn't want to spend even more. But now I find myself having just enough extra money to get one. I am thinking of ordering Miel and maybe a Mystic head for her too. But then I think about 5th Anniversary, and I wonder if I should wait to see what that is. But I do love vampires...

Hi all, been a busy day here. Yes, I think things are shipping. I ordered one of the new bodies in white skin, along with my pirates and two new skin, and I got the white skin body today Looks funny, no head. Haven't had a chance even to take out of the box. I've been playing too much with my Nappy Choo

Nope, no more vampires until next year. I guessed right about mystics being included in the HK edition & for this year's 5th anniversary maybe 2 new faces, maybe a Tiger theme being in China 2010 is the year of the Tiger. Resin paws & ears?
I really want them to bring back the sleeping heads, even as add ons.

Speaking of tigers, I just got lucky & found the original kitty cat Lea paws (hands & feet) from the Lati yellow special Cats edition on Evilbay!
I have the same white wig style that's on Lea, now to find the dress set! My husband is laughing at how fast I did the buy it now & immediate payment, lol!
