Wow! First on the new page...hey where is everybody?


Emmie is spending her first night in her new Big Girl Bed. She's not too sure about it so I left her crib and night light in the nursery for the time being.

Was wondering what ages everyone's Lati whites are? Emmie is just 2. I think when I find her some hairs she may have to age a bit though!

 

Oh sweet, didn't know we were up to part two already. Emmie's room is adorable, I hope you find a nice little wig for her. I love that little nightlight as well, does it really light up?

As for mogwai's age, I'm not really sure. I've never thought about it, but I'd say she definitely looks older than two with her grey hair

very cheeky though, whatever age she may be.

Yes, the nightlight in Emmie's room really does light up and when you wind it up it rotates throwing light shapes across the wall. She loves it! (Okay, I love it too)

 

Aw, DaisyLady, I'm so glad you're helping Emmie transition! I see no reason why she can't keep her crib and light with her for a while! I love her blankie and the teddy bear she's holding, too. Is it Calico Critters/Sylvanian?

It's weird, though, I'm like Tiny and don't know how old my Beatrice is going to be either . . . just like I don't know how old Livvy (my Dollndoll Bubble) is. A friend asked me that about Livvy recentl,y and I was stumped. Can they be ageless? Ugh, that sounds even weirder. I know they're children, at least, and that Beatrice WILL be quite a bit younger . . . so I quess not quite ageless . . . Hmm, it's like some kind of deep, philosophical bjd question!!

Tiny, hahaha! So . . . how did she get in there anyway? Did she do it on purpose? (Something tells me maybe yes, based on that "cheeky" adjective . . . ) I'm very impressed that you made her little outfit! As I've said, it's darling!

 

Oh I really have no idea how she managed that, definitely safe to say it was on purpose though.
Thanks again too, I've been a bit sick this past week so I've been practising my sewing. I am learning new things every day, a few months ago I was cutting and sewing T shapes together and calling them shirts (and pricking myself a lot!) :p

 

Ayla160Yes, her nursery furniture is Calico Critters! I wove her wee blanket on a Weave-it square loom that my hubby made for me. Her pillow is another square all folded up.

I think ageless is probably good. I would certainly like to be ageless

Tiny I have yet to master the sewing aspect of clothes making for my dollies so good for you!

 

For anyone looking for baby type shoes look over at Wilde Imagination for Amelia Thimble's shoes. I think that little Emmie's bed is the cutest thing ever. I have just ordered a Calico Critters caravan set. I'm hoping it will be the right size for my tinies.
I have no idea how old any of my dolls are. I think they are probably immortal souls like elves or fairies. I never really put a human age on them for some reason.
Mogwai's grey hair is awesome. I find her very appealing so I'd watch out if I were you because I might dolly nab her when You are not looking!!
Tiny, I admire anyone for sewing for this tiny size. I'm afraid my eyes aren't that good for such small stitches. I guess I could stop being vain and get some reading glasses or something!

PrincessStarburst, that's a perfect description for them--immortal fairy souls! I think that really captures how I feel about mine. And Trinket is adorable as always, doing some holiday baking. You have some really great sets! Is that a new wig or is her hair pulled back?? (Oh, and also . . . I hope it's okay to ask one side question here: I've been wondering what your avatar picture is, because I think it's really beautiful.)

 

Hi. Thank you for your lovely words about Trinket. The wig is a new one. I received some wigs on Monday from For My Doll and am just playing around with different looks at the moment. Currently she is favouring a short brown bob but we shall see.

PrincessStarburst, I'd love to see what the brown bob wig looks like! And thanks for the info on Stella Im Hultberg--I looked at some of her work, and I really like it a lot.

And my Belle arrived at long last!!! Yay!! Her name is Beatrice (Bee for short), and she still needs a faceup, obviously, which I'm going to TRY to give her tomorrow. Gulp. Also, I'd like to pull her hair back in a bun. If that doesn't work as I want it to, I might be looking for a shorter wig . . . At any rate, though, I absolutely love her! So, so little and sweet!

Hey does anyone know what site has a good selection of wigs for these little ones? And I mean not just in natural colors, but a HUGE range of them.

Margikins: Are these the same shoes as the ones you'd normally get for the Tommy/Kelly barbies?

 

DragonElfWarrior, no, they're not. If you go back to the first thread and see post 985, you'll see the Amelia Thimble shoes next to Kelly shoes. They are quite a bit smaller than Kelly's. I also link to the seller on ebay there. Her name is sassybear. The maryjane shoes are super cheap, the Amelia Thimble ones from Wilde Imagination, not so much.

DragonElfWarrior I'd love to see photos of your doll. As for wigs, I bought mine off etsy but I do know there's these monique 3-4inch wigs that fit, and also various wigs from other doll companies such as Leekeworld and fairyland.
Ayla160 Bee is very cute, I thought you did such a great job on the face up you posted on flickr, though it was a shame what happened with the liquitex. If its okay to ask, who did you send her off to for a new face up? I am excited to see photos of her when she gets back

Tiny--I just love Mogwai! Her little antics are so cute. As for Bee's faceup, well, she's not getting a new one after all right now because I decided I shouldn't be spending any more just yet. :/ Sooo, she will be kinda smudgy and without eyebrows for a while, haha. Though--it's strange--I've rather grown to like the way she looks, even though she's the farthest thing from professional. Thanks again for liking her! I was going to send her to Eludys, who is also on flickr and does lovely faceups.
I suppose I'll add a picture of Bee to this thread, since I just took some new ones. (I can't help it!) Also . . . anyone have any idea why my "Enter" key won't work on here anymore? It's driving me nuts!

In hopes of reviving this thread a bit, I thought I'd share a photo. I ordered a little old fashioned wig the other day to try something different, that should be interesting as I've gotten so used to the grey hair.

angelagps Same here, I'd love a tiny mystic lati anything, really. One of my friends messaged them maybe a week or two ago about a possible new release and unfortunately this was part of the reply.

"Currently we do not have any special plan for limited edition or special White line dolls"
Hopefully we get a pleasant surprise later this year?

I didn't see the notice that Lati wasn't doing more white size for a while. Now I'm kicking myself that I didn't get Pury a little sister or brother.

 

HI guys! I have just adopted a Lati White body with a fairyland pukipuki head on it. I LOVE the Lati White body and definitely need a Pury as soon as Lati open up again (or I find one in the MP). My question though, is how on EARTH do you get these girls to stand? I have never held such a kicky body! I know some people put pipecleaners in bigger dolls, but I never felt the need. This girl though, is so adorable and tiny that I want to spend a lot of time with her, so it would be great to be able to pose her a little. Any advice you can give would be great, especially since I am planning to try to find another one Thankyou!

 

Hi enchantedlily - I thought I would bump this so that someone would answer your questions. I haven't tried to pose my Lati white. I have her laying or being held by another doll. I would think pipe cleaners would work though. I don't know if their is thread on posing tiny dolls and what they use.

 

Thankyou Rosebud. I hope to find out even more now - I have just adopted a white basic Pury too!!! I knew it wouldn't be long!!!

 

I love all your adorable Lati pics. I was told by Lati that they were going to try and have Lati whites available again the end this year maybe beginning of next year. I am so hoping they bring them back as I love my girl. I was also wondering if anyone here has attempted home tans as I would love to tan my belle, but really nervous about it since I couldn't find a tan one already. Any tips would be much appreciated! Hope it's okay to post another pic, but I accidentally bought a pukipuki/lati white sp jacket not realizing it was the wrong size for belle. Anyway, I thought it actually looked cute on even though it drowns her

Hi Hawkinsfam8 Belle, Pury and Laches are the same face mold, but they are different skin colors and are painted differently and Pury and Laches have ears. Bell is a ns, Pury is ws and Laches is always tan.
I think there is a thread about doing coloring on the face and body, but I would be afraid to try it.

 

oh, thank you for the info! I did not know they were all the same face mold! I'm just new to lati's so really don't know a thing yet! Lol! I had heard of people dying their dolls and there's tons of instruction of how to do it, but I am just not sure. I don't want to ruin her I got a home tanned lati yellow lea from elfinhugs and just adore her coloring so that is why I wanted to try She almost looks like a winter tan although I don't own a winter tan lati so can't really compare. Hugs!

I could not resist the waiting when I came to know they were sold out (about 6 months ago) so I was only able to adopt 2nd hand babies. Now when I see SUCH GOOD NEWS I am sooo HAppy!!! do you know when exactly Lati is putting them available again?

I have a quick question for Lati White owners... is Lily the same head sculpt as Pury? Or are my eyes playing tricks on me? I've been eyeing Lily for some time and since Lati announced their restock I'm trying to scramble funds for her.

I do have a sweet second-hand SP Arin ♀ waiting to be opened come Christmas, and look forward to sharing photos of her once she has proper eyes, wig, etc. I'm a sucker for dolls this size, as they make adorable kids for my minis.

 

Yes Lily is the same mold as Pury. Also the same mold as Laches. However Lily has normal ears and is usually in normal skin color. I asked LatiDoll years ago. The paint job on these dolls really is very different even if same mold.

 

Thanks so much for your help, Rosebud! I see a lot of Pury and Latches floating around here but rarely see Lily. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right place(s)! Ha!

i just ordered her in tan,so i figure we'll be joining this list by next christmas with latis wait times (but i couldn't resist that face )

forgot to ask. are lati whites the same size as puki pukis? i'd like to have an outfit ready for her when she comes home if i can.

 

I think they are closer in height to a realpuki auntbear, but chubby. I found this photo on Flickr, it is not mine.

ooh,so they are teeny tiny! that's great, i have lots of miniature stuff around and the bigger girls can spoil a "baby". i'll make something a little loose for my rps and then fit better when he/she arrives.

i'm counting on next christmas desertmountainbear 'cause current wait times are 6-9months and growing. that way if she gets here sooner i'll be pleasantly surprized,but if not, at least i won't be toooo upset

Well, the Yellows has been taking 6-8 months now for the few previous limiteds - a basic has been 5-6 months..

 

Sorry I didnt see the previous comments about the wait time. I guess I will prepare for the long wait, but she is adorable! I ordered tan belle also I have wanted one for a while.

 

Does anyone have a suggestion to where I can purchase shoes for the Lati White?

i think i read somewhere that they were too big but that the amelia thimble shoes fit. maybe someone else can confirm that?

and speaking of amelia thimble i have a pattern for stretchy leggings for amelia thimble. would they fit lati whites? (i don't have either doll unfortunately just the pattern, it's pretty close to realpuki size
