Here's another pic of Shu. I don't see enough of these Lati red boys, and they are so gorgeous.

 

I know I love seeing pics of them. I need to take and share more of mine. I like the black wig on him!

I'm getting annoyed with my boy's black wig ~_~" It keeps staining him, even though I've put something inside the wig cap to act as a barrier between his resin and the cap. @#$%^&*)!

I guess I can deal with it as long as it doesn't kill his faceup :\

SchizoCheese Is it a Leekeworld wig? I learned the hard way with one of my cheaper dolls (luckily) that they do stain the resin. Its unfortunate because I do love the Leeke styles, but I found that as long as they are wearing a wigcap nothing gets stained. Although it makes it a tighter squeeze to get into wigs (and can be a bit annoying for that reason), I still think wigcaps are life savers, they protect the resin and hold the wigs in place!

casta266 I think I will be receiving a new outfit for Alec this weekend, and will therefore HAVE to take some pics, (and share them of course) Its been nothing but gray skies and rain here for quite some time so its been a bit difficult to get any good shots, luckily this weekends forecast is looking sunny and warm! I have to say Shu looks even cuter in that reddish wig, I think that one is my favorite!

Dr_Lekter Valet looks so relaxed and cool! I am a fan and boy oh boy does that tight white shirt show off his muscles, I love it!

Alec did in fact get a new outfit last weekend (its intended for Halloween, but he looked so good in it that I haven't taken it off him yet ) I also got to take pics of him in it too while we visited my sister (her house has a lot better lighting). I think I went a little overboard though, I ended up taking like over 100 pics! So I am hoping that I can sort through them today and post a couple up here very soon... Stay tuned!

The only thing better than their faces are their bodies. THey pose so nicely and stand forever.
Just wish finding pants for them wasn't so hard... or special order.

 

yalissa, oh yes, their bodies is the best bodies in bjd-world! *__* Their hands... ahhh. ^^
U can buy pants SD-13 long leg from Tata, Nine9style.

 

The bodies are lovely, yes, but they too have some flaws... =\ When Tae arrived to me he was SO tight, the stringing caused some pretty bad damage to the top of his thighs [it was so bad, I needed help to pull his torso apart so I could chop the elastic] and his wrist mobility is significantly less than other bodies I currently own. That said, the body is lovely in it's own right, and I don't think I could have him any other way. The renewal body is a significant improvement over the old one afterall, what with the swivelly thighs of utter doom. XD

SD13 pants tend to be baggy on them [not form fitting] I find that Raphael jeans fit better.

 

i am waiting for my Lati Red M at the moment, and was hoping to get him some pants before he arrives

SchizoCheese, thanks for the tip- could you please tell me which size Raphael jeans fit the best? Would it be the SD13 or SD16? TIA

 

Their bodies are great for posing, mine was strung a little tight as well though making little scratches in the thighs. I think the only thing I'd want Lati to change about the bodies would be the chest, I'd love it if Alec had an upper chest joint so he could slouch and sit a little better!

They are a bit long but I actually got Alec a pair of Dollmore dress pants in their 70cm size and they look really nice on him!

Yeah theyre the model pants. I think they are a pretty good fit for him, like I said they are a bit long so they have a scrunched look at the bottom, but Id much rather have that than too short I'm not going to have my camera for a couple days, but I can post pics of him in them this weekend if its helpful.

 

SD13 ^^ SD16 is way too big.

 

blackcat, I ordered some model pants for M...I like the scrunched look at the bottom too.

Here's my new boy M- I'm not sure if he needs more color in his face? I'm starting to like his monochrome look:

Has anyone else sealed their boy's body? I gave him a light sand last night thinking it would matte him a bit, but the pearly sheen remains- is this just a quirk of Lati resin?

 

Which batch is your boy from? I had two lati boys at one point; one was made from a resin that looked and felt like cheap plastic; shiny all over and he yellowed badly. The one I bought later was made from a better quality of resin that was matte, had tooth and a lovely translucency. It also withstood yellowing much much better.

 

I bought him second hand, so not sure which batch- he's from 2006. His resin is pinkish and heavy, and his arms, legs & pelvis are matte- I think his torso might just have a lot of that mold release stuff on it...I'll msc him over the weekend

Yep, I think my blue boy was like this too, just a quirk of Lati maybe? Your Valet looks very warm in his overcoat

Congrats Saba! I think his faceup looks great! I cant say I've ever tried sanding my Latis before, I own a red and a blue and neither of them have ever had a shiny appearance, their resin has a very interesting texture to it....

 

Thanks blackcat- his Dollmore Model pants arrived, and I love them on, thanks for the tip He's had a coat of msc so no more shiny- yay!

Just wanted to share with anyone who is having problems getting clothes - Raphael's SD13 boy stuff seems to fit pretty well; at least the pieces that I own. SD17 would look pretty nice too with a t-shirt underneath.

I've given my M a new face up- loved his default, but the sealant had yellowed some, and made him look a tad tired *sigh* so he now has lots more colour Hope to post some pics when his new wig arrives!

He'll probably be on here in two weeks. I'm actually getting him 2nd hand though! Or well... 3rd hand. The original owner got him in 2008, so I don't think it'll be the newer bodies?..... (If any were made very recently). ;;

Saba I liked his faceup before, but the one you did looks even better! He looks like a completely new doll I agree he does look a lot more awake and alive now.

 

My K should arrive Friday-ish this week, so I'm excited! I won't be able to open him/work on him until after work 10:30 pm that night though or Saturday until late evening because of dragon boat races again. But I hope I can work on his faceup soon too. And make new clothes!
