Latidoll Lime Line Discussion thread

Wow, they're so big! I wonder how popular they'll be. I think a large part of the Yellow's appeal is the wide variety of clothing options.

 

Very cute. They are YoSD sized at 26cm, but with a 9-inch head... so I don't think they'll fit in with my current crew... but very cute anyway!

 

They are cute but the proportions are so different from other YoSD sized dolls that they would look odd among them.

I wonder if Lati has improved their shipping times. I have not dared to order anything from them after their shipping times got way too long.

 

Yeah, after waiting nearly a year for a doll I decided to only buy secondhand Lati. My only YOSDs are Lati Yellow Sp. which the new Lime would look way too comical with anyway. I don't know how popular it will be for that reason.

 

I don't know, I think they sort of remind me of Blythe dolls, but in resin, so might be targeted at that audience.

hmm, as for waiting times, getting a basic blank lati white, ordered February 27, arrived June 7th. (A little more than 3 months) But a painted limited doll I was waiting from early Nov to May 17th. (6 months)

so maybe the waiting time has gone down?

 

I'm intrigued by the size and proportions. If they open up with more head options, I'd better start saving now

 

My friend ordered the Halloween one, it arrived in about 6 months. It's better, but still long.
Also, they no longer offer a layaway, apparently. I asked when they released Lime, since these dolls are not cheap (over 500?).

But I think the target audience is more the Disney AMT crowd. The babyish princesses? But the price jump is a bit high from those!

 

Does anyone know what the measurements are for the Late Lime? Does anyone have one yet?

I think I may have seen some on Instagram, but they may have been bought at a doll show.

They are super cute, agreed.

the peach white skin color is cute too. But I'm content to watch for now.

Haven't bought any lati for a very long long time but when I saw Lime I ordered one , probably need to wait till end of this year or beginning of next year. Wait time from my understanding is half year now. ahh the wait is long, please post lots of pics

 

I ordered mine from Doll Peddler and she was in stock, so she will be here this week. Hoping for tomorrow or Tuesday! Will do my best to post lot's of pics but life with a 5 year old can get crazy. I will for sure post pics though!

 

She arrived today! Just like a Lati yellow but bigger. I will get a comparison shot soon.

Soo cute , I'm really loving this new size lati made. I don't have any yosd size in my collection and I think my future plan includes a lot of Lime. I actually love lati yellow a lot and regret selling a lot of my yellow sizes before now I wish I kept them so I can have a mini me type collection. But I kept alot of my lati white so I guess I can do a Giant and mini comparison LOL

She's adorable!! Do you have any advice on clothes and can she wear YOSD shoes?

 

kadepie: Thank you! For shoes, YOSD is just fine. Her feet are a bit shorter, so if the shoe looks long on a yo it might look a bit funny on a Lime. (I have some longer YOSD shoes and I tend to prefer the shorter, chubbier ones.) For clothes, she dose share a lot of my YOSD's stuff. Dresses with short or high waist are good, long waist, not so much. Long sleeves can be too long, but if they are elastic or fitted the work. All of the clothes I have posted her in are from my yo's. Patsyette doll clothes fit great, but they are 1930's styled, so if you don't like that style then that won't work for you! Oh, and of course all yo hat's are out!

Aww Kiki's little critters are adorable! I have some of those waiting here for my lime who has not arrived. Tracking says she checked into my local distribution center on Friday morning. Friday it changed to delivery by 8 pm Saturday and she never showed up. Today it says she is back in transit but it gives me no information on where.

 

kadepie: I'm sorry! I have had the post office send to the wrong nearby town and it take an extra day or two to re-route. I would call them if she is still a no show by tomorrow.

 

She's here!! I have one Lati Yellow so I really wasn't sure what to expect but the minute I started unwrapping her from the bubble wrap I knew I was going to be hooked. (I already want another one ) This is not going to be her final look, but I wanted to wait and see her first before I started planning.

I picked Hana because I had been agonizing over "adding to cart" a Yellow sized Hana for a very long time.

Limes are so much bigger than a Littlefee all the way around. I like the sturdy weight. Hands, feet (shorter and wider) I only had one set of jeans that would fit her but they are very snug at the feet. (The jeans were made for Meadow Dumpling dolls) Nubanded yosd tshirts fit very well. Her cute summer top is pinned in the back because it's just a bit short on material for the snaps to stay together.

It's been a long time since I have been this excited over a doll and I am very blessed to have her.

Yeah, so funny :-) Kinda hard to consider it as a yosd (for me). It's indeed a bigger proportion of a yellow. I mean, look at the difference in shoulders (height).

She is very cute but I am also holding back and won't get her, i love the lime size but majority of my dolls are the 16 cm size range so I will stick to the yellow size more . I hope lati won't focus too much on lime size cause i still love lati yellow alot and will continue with yellow line. I want to see more variety of yellow being produce and more color skin to choose from

 

I had her in 18 mm eyes because like juliepinetree said, the glass ones she came with have gaps. I just didn't like the red wig with the blue eyes I got from EDD.

Soo cute together and very fun to display. I love tan color lati alot and the brown tan

 

I have seen a couple brown tans that I would love but was way to late to snatch up from Doll Peddlar. I wonder if they will make Limes in brown tan...

 

I think with lati they will eventually release them with brown tan and fantasy color, i am hoping to get pastel purple or light green lime in future .

 

Does anyone know what wig size fits the Lati Lime dolls?

9 wig and 18 or 20 mm eyes. I like the 18 better as the 20 seemed to big and didn't quite fit in the eye wells.

I've been out of the loop with BJDs for awhile and I'm just now finding out about these dolls. I never bonded with any other YoSD size doll, but I'm really attracted to these because I like Lati Yellow! How are people buying these dolls, because I don't see them available on the Lati site? Do they come in basic or only limited? Which faces are available?

 

You can always check dollpeddlar (official dealer); they sometimes have 'stock' aswell

I just ordered 2 lime Hana I can’t wait for them to come. I got one normal and one tan.
So 18mm eyes seems to be the most popular and 8-9 wig. I can’t wait to get some nice pastel leekeworld wigs for them

So has anyone tried 20mm eyes in Hana specifically? I want to order enchanted doll eyes but I’m scared to get the wrong size after I spend that much money

I have 20mm eyes in my Hana. I am using her default eyes from Lati. But and it’s a big “but” I had to use a dremel to have them fit properly. I like the larger iris of the 20mm, but there were big gaps. If you like the larger iris too, maybe 18 mm with a large iris would work. I don’t know if Enchanted gives a choice.

 

I saw on latis site that lime dolls come with 22mm so I’m really confused what to do!!

 

it is very possible I am mistaken then. I have her default eyes in. For some reason I thought they were 20mm. If they are 22 then I am no help.

I just measured, they are 22mm. I’m going to order some inexpensive 20mm eyes and try.
